Dr. David Michalak believes in spending time getting to know his patients as people, so that he can be more effective at helping prevent and treat their individual medical concerns over the long term. He spent 10 years as a registered nurse in emergency departments before attending medical school at the University of Texas at San Antonio and becoming a board-​certified in family medicine with a secondary certification in sleep medicine. At his office in The Woodlands, Dr. Michalak combines the best of an old-​fashioned, friendly-​family practice with state-​of-​the-​art facilities including a renowned sleep evaluation lab equipped with the latest technology.
