Great little café. It’s clean, friendly staff and laid back. We asked our server for suggestions and they did not disappoint. The food was very good, fresh and not greasy! My husband loved the bacon They have a lot of choices and a variety of coffee. The service was very good attentive but not hovering.

I have not been in awhile but first time I had their food is after a hot yoga work out and fundraising even in Market St for foster care. Breakfast burrito is worth the money and also their hush browns is good(not much of potato fan but I say better I would order it again). I also like to patronize mom and pops busiiness only way keep America business going. I wish The Woodlands will continue to help small family business, like Austin does. Yay! The Breakfast Place!!!

I ate here last year and had the chicken fried steak as well as did my daughter. The gravey was thick and tasteless and the chicken fried steak was so hard you needed a chainsaw to cut through it. The service was slow as well. I wouldn’t recommend this place to the homeless. Poor quality food.

I see several reviews referencing the bad behavior of the manager. I was a regular until the lady manager was promoted. I quit going after several episodes of her berating employees in the open. I told one of the waitresses this was upsetting. The manager was told I wasn’t happy and proceeded to lecture me until I left. As the owner met me outside to talk, the manager proceeded outside to continue the bad behavior. No matter how good the food(5 stars), haven’t been back. Will return when I hear a change has been made.

Over priced breakfast. Greasy spoon smelling place. but what do I expect to be in back of Woodlands? $ 11.942 eggs fatty thin bacon and coffee. Dennys has better quality. I guess the punishment of eating greasy food and messing up my diet is paying over inflated prices lol

Just ok. Nothing special about this place really. The food tastes like stuff I can make at home, and I’m far from a chef. The service was fine, the food was fine… If you’re in the area and need to stop for something to eat you will be ok. I definitely would not go out of my way to come here again.

I really had to attempt to clean my plate because the portions are wonderful. My girlfriend and I wanted to seek out a new spot for breakfast. To start, staff was very friendly in welcoming my girlfriend and I on arrival and quick to show us to our choice of seating. The waitress was super sweet and offered assistance in selection and even offered(although not on the menu) to help out in choosing by doing a combo plate. I was already impressed by the service, but then the food came I had to marvel. Great presentation, and the flavor fills your stomach as much as your eyes. I had the Chop Steak and Eggs which I highly recommend. Flavors are on point. We’ll definitely be back.

I really enjoyed this place. Greeted quickly and service was consistent. She always made sure my coffee was topped off. She made great recommendations when I was between the waffles and the breakfast burrito.(I went with the burrito with chorizo) the menu is simple. Pancakes, french toast, omelettes, etc. I appreciate that. Simple done right. Our food came out hot n fresh n fast. The portions are big so we had to get to go boxes. I was a happy camper he was a happy camper with his chopped beef breakfast. Everyone was friendly and you can tell that it’s a small joint where everyone who comes in is family. I wanna be apart of this food family! We will be back!

Ordered a latte… brought it to me in less than three minutes. Literally, a cup of coffee with a little whipped milked on top… as in itty bitty with cinnamon sprinkled. Shouldn’t call it a latte. Omelette with ham… lots of squares of fat… toast SODRY… WOW! I think there were some lazy cooks in the kitchen! No more… done.

This place gets two stars from me, and the only reason it gets that many is because it’s convenient to my home! The food is usually cold and their«toast» is actually just bread that has been warmed up(not toasted) at some point; too bad it’s not warm by the time you get it! We’ve spoken with the manager on two occasions and they didn’t seem to care either time. Today’s manager wouldn’t even come to our table when we asked to speak with her — we caught her by chance at the register as we were paying our bill. Of course, telling them that the food is cold leads them to blame the servers. I hate to break it to them but their problem is not the servers, who always seem friendly, attentive and fast. Their problem is their inept management. At least this place is expensive, so they’ve got that going for them!(Yes, that was sarcasm.) There are better places for breakfast — probably best to avoid this one.

The food here is classic diner breakfast. Overall very good except they have coffee mate instead of real cream or milk. What restaurant thats not fast food uses coffee mate? It makes me wonder what other artifical ingredients are going into my food! I’m happy to come back I just won’t order coffee!

Just finished a late breakfast after tennis. I got the one egg with bacon and got french toast. My egg was cooked hard just as i asked, bacon crisp and french toast was awesome. Kripa our waitress was so patient and kind with 11 ladies.

Food was very good. Off the beaten path so it wasn’t super crowded or noisy. Servers were helpful. Loved the pancakes!

I love the breakfast place! It’s our go to place in the mornings. I’m not sure what all the bad reviews are about I have never had poor service or bad food. The waitresses are always very nice and we usually get seated right away. Sure it’s not as fancy as other woodlands restaurants but that’s what I like about it.

Basically, they just failed to meet expectations. The breads, especially, were a letdown. A good breakfast place should nail the biscuits, but these were overcooked, dry, and bready. The toast was a bit soggy. As far as the eggs, etc, they weren’t bad, but not worth a return trip given the other options I’ve got nearby.
