Stopped by for lunch and saw on Unilocal as I was hungry for Thai. Awesome pad see ew. For under $ 9 got salad, soup, egg roll. Service was quick and friendly.

Really enjoyed their pad Thai until they stopped delivering. Hope that changes sooner than later as we were ordering once or twice a week.

Wow, not a good experience here at all, minus the fact they were nice. But the food was very unimpressive, borderline questionable. We had about 6 items and not one of them tasted good. The fried rice was not fresh and tasted really bad, didn’t even know that was possible. In addition to all this, portions were small and prices were incredibly too high given what they served. I guess the food quality should be what I expected for where I was, but the pricing was out of wack. For me, this was some of the worst Thai food I’ve ever had.

I had an awesome late lunch date with my girlfriend. I loved everything. Atmosphere was warm and inviting. Décor was well done. Service was good. I also found out they also have phone reservation and they have online ordering on their website. On their menu they have appetizer, soup, salad, seafood special, entrees, fried rice, curries, whole fish, noodles, side dishes, and dessert. This is what we ordered for lunch: Soup & Salad was served before our food came out. Salad has ginger asian dressing on it. Hot soup has tofu, carrot juliennes, and chili seasoned in it. Crispy Veggie Spring Roll: They gave us 6 instead of 5 spring rolls. It was thin and crispy. Steaming hot inside with sweet sour sauce. Green Curry: Green curry in coconut milk with bamboo shoots, eggplant, green pepper and sweet basil. This green curry is spicy, aromatic, sweet and savory at the same time. Green curry is such a great a delight. Chicken was the meat. Yellow Curry: Yellow curry in coconut milk with fresh potato, carrots and onions. This curry is richer and creamier than other Thai curries. Beef was the meat. Beef was cooked well done slightly chewier than normal. Both curries have choices on meat: beef, pork, or chicken. Both served with heart shaped long grained steamed white rice. I will definitely come back.

Indeed very good Thai food for the suburb since we discovered it last year. On a recent order out though, the 3 dishes we ordered were all bland, lacked the Thai flavor… maybe they were out of basil and nam pla(?)…but there is an Asian grocery store next door to supply necessary ingredients ! Whomever cooked that day was not well versed in the art and balance of Thai cuisine. Maybe they did not have the usual cook? Hope they are not toning down to accommodate typical suburb standard.

This is the Woodlands best kept Thai secret. Loved loved my sweet chili paste soup. Also know as Tom Yum Goong. The broth was superb and shrimp was just right. My husband had glass noodles with duck. Also known as ND5 or Pad Woon Sen. Good duck tenderness with cabbage flavor. We also tried the coconut mushroom soup, Tom Kha Gai. Super fast service and quaint atmosphere.

I tried the Mongolian beef and it was delicious! The restaurant is nice, quiet, and the food was good. I would definitely eat here again.

My wife had the chicken with noodles and basil. Just the right amount of spice. I ordered the green curry, Thai spicy just as I ordered. Very friendly staff, waitress was very patient with us and the two kids. Look forward to going back again.

This place is freaking awesome and delicious!!! Came from Florida to visit family here in Texas and decided that I wanted Thai for the first time and now I’m in love !!! But the service is a little slow, ok … Really slow if you’re in a rush don’t bother coming here unless your patient and willing to wait 20 mins for your food.

Basil chicken fried rice. The curries and fried rice are yummy as well. Love that they also serve the desert sticky rice and custard.

Best Thai food I’ve had in a while. The soft spring rolls were fabulous. Loved the 2 different kinds of sauces — combining gives a great sweet and spicy flavor. I had the Panang curry for my entrée. Just the right amount of spice. Best I’ve had! And they have brown rice. We will be back soon!

I think zato recently changed ownership, the good news is the food is better. The sort of bad news is they don’t have a liquor license, but you can now bring your own. Food has actually improved, we ordered musselmen curry which was very subtle and slightly sweet. The larb was better than kanomwans. Tom kha really good. We had custard and sticky rice for a yummy desert. We are putting them back on the circuit. Not busy but hope it picks up. We’ll try the pad Thai and red curry next time. Enjoy!

After having been here 15+ times in the past 6 months, the last 5ish times have been bad. I gave them the benefit of the doubt but tonight was the last straw. Chef has changed. Dishes are TOO spicy. As in, I physically cannot eat their medium-level. It’s gross. The spring rolls are never hot, and the fried rice is always overcooked. Service has dramatically declined. As in, tonight I was literally argued with when I was brought a dish I did not order. Yes, I know what I ordered. No, it’s not my fault you didn’t write it down. I pointed to it on the menu. Why. Are. You. Yelling. At. Me. So all-in-all, zato is now a no-go for me. I gave them 3 months worth of chances, but have no more patience. Still a great location.

This is my new fav Thai spot. I use to go to one in when I lived in Atlanta but I was yet to to find another one like it. I was recently driving around and I found it. It was so good. The spice level was really spice and the flavor was just right. The customer service was very good and fast. The only reason I give it a 4 is because it’s not better than my normal Thai spot in Atlanta

Wow, a real disappointed! I appreciate the friendly staff but we waited almost 30’minutes in an almost empty restaurant for our food only to send a dish back because it wasn’t fully cooked. The curry dish was ok but not memorable enough to bring us back. We waited way too long for a check — and it wasn’t because the place was busy. Bummer. We were looking forward to a great Thai dinner. :(

I absolutely love this place! It’s become my go to for my Thai fix. The service is always quick and the servers are all so friendly and attentive. I’ve enjoyed just about everything I’ve ever ordered. Their spring rolls are easily the best I’ve ever had! This place is a must try!

The wait staff was very nice but the quality of the food is horrible. Would have gave them a 1 star but the waitress was very helpful. The fish was old and smelly rotten which the cook tried to cover up while frying it. The bowl of Tom Kha Gai had hardly any chicken and was cold. The Pad Thai noodles were so so and beer was cold. Too bad this place is not that good, I was actually hoping to find a new Thai place. Save your time and money and try a different place.

An old friend came into town and needed both a gluten free alternative and a place to assuage her pregnancy cravings for spicy food, several friends agreed that Zato Thai would satisfy everyone’s desire for a good meal with good friends both old and new. Zato has very friendly staff and a beautiful new décor, they were able to seat us comfortably in a private dining area off to the right of the entrance, this allowed us all to talk freely and still be able to hear each other in a very busy restaurant. Our waitress was quick on the refills and able to get our order in and delivered with minimal issues. Seeing as how there was at least eight of us this was a feat all its own, they continued to go above and beyond to make our visit a pleasant one. Sharing food with new friends is an experience all in itself, the Tom Yum Goong was fantastic and the Thai Herbal Chicken especially delicious! Great balance of heat and flavor in the Yum Neau and the Thai Orange Beef is truly decadent! I ordered the Thai Pepper Steak, which was described on the menu as sliced marinated beef with bell peppers, sweet onions and scallions in hot vinaigrette sauce. This was supposed to be spicy, but didn’t come out even close to it and while I had bell peppers and onions there were no scallions. That was disappointing. The atmosphere was great, the company more so and all in all it was a great evening despite the lack of flavor from what I ordered, everyone else’s dinner tasted fantastic as we shared a little bit of each. I’ve been here several times and will continue to come back for more great food and great service.
