H&R Block

I paid this H&R Block office a visit earlier in the year to get a replacement prepaid Emerald Card. Although the office was slammed in the peak of income tax season, the representative that assisted me remained professional and efficient at all times, and was great at multitasking. I’m just sorry I didn’t get her name. Definitely recommend.

Okay, so… when you pay for people to do something for you — you should expect to pay a fee. H&R Block, like almost ANY service on the planet (i.e., hairstylists, cleaning staff, other tax companies) have fees. So my review will not be based on fees because I’m making the educated assumption that if you’re seeking any service, you understand that you’ll have to pay for it.
Instead, I’m going to rate this H&R Block on experience factors.
1. Location: I love that H&R Block have a variety of stores. I’ve been doing my taxes with them for 5 years now and they keep my information on file and can easily access it. I’ve moved from Capitol Hill to Aurora to Thornton and have never once had issues finding a tax location that was close to where I lived.
2. Cleanliness: Yeah, I get it… You’re not in the lobby for a really long period of time, but having comfortable chairs and space to spend some time in is important. This location was a little cramped and the chairs weren’t super comfy. Bring something to pass the time.
3. Customer Service: The tax professional I met with was very nice and seemed knowledgeable. She was very willing to try running the numbers a few different ways to see how they came out and was open and honest about her time restrictions and capabilities. She did a good job with follow up as well.
All in all, I would say this is a good solid location for anyone that needs help with their taxes.

Yeah right 340.00 to file my return b/​c I had a 1099 and an extra form non-​itemized! I about fell backwards when they told me the fees. The staff was super friendly though, no complaints there, very courteous and nice, but the price WOW, I was shocked.
