In Focus Studios is a group of award winning professional photographers who have been capturing memories and creating stunning images for over a decade. We serve the entire Chicagoland area and we are also available for destination weddings.

Our style is a combination of traditional and photojournalistic portraiture with a modern perspective. We love to play with light and contrast, and are always up for new and interesting photographic techniques. We look for creative scenery and stunning backdrops, details and emotion are important to us.

Our main focus is to create images that are reflective to your style and personality while telling your «story».

We are on-​location photographers, which means you don’t have to sit at a studio in front of a backdrop and say cheese! We have numerous locations around the Chicagoland area where we enjoy shooting, and are continuously scouting for new interesting places to shoot. Established in 2001.

We are In Focus Studios, located in beautiful downtown Thornton, IL. We have over ten years of experience in photographing weddings and events, and can work within any wedding budget.

We use the highest quality professional Nikon equipment, and have an excellent relationship with all of our clients.

We even offer high end digital retouching, and a wide assortment of post wedding products to choose from including custom albums, «coffee table» style albums, photo gifts, custom photo greeting cards, and a huge selection of frames and folios. Yep, as many of you other folks have stated, Rachele just did not come through.
We got in on a YouSwoop deal. Paid over $ 1,000 for her services. I spoke with her a multitude of times over the phone before we purchased. Right after she got the money, I could never reach her. We wanted to book her for engagement photos, wedding photos, and family photos. She just never responded. Luckily YouSwoop was able to refund us, but we were still out of the many months of booking a photographer. We had to scramble last minute to find someone to replace her.
We did hear that she might have been in the hospital or something. Either way, she should have had a family member or associate connect with each of her «scammed» customers.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM! YOU WILL NEVER RECEIVE YOUR PICTURES!!!
Rachele has been missing/​avoiding everyone for the last 4 months! She has deleted her website and her facebook page and never answers her phone or returns any calls or emails. She did my wedding in August and then went MIA after that. She has never given me my wedding pictures. She did show up and do all the work so all she has to do is actually give me the pictures as promised.
I have spoken to several people in the same exact situation as me. I have also found out that she used to operate under a different business name in the past and now I believe she is about to change her business name again since she has pissed off so many people. I also found out she gives out many different addresses for where her business operates out of and I do not think any of them are accurate.
It’s ashame because she is a good photographer however she is an abolustely horrible business woman and cannot be trusted. She also obviously does not care about her clients because we put the trust in her to take pictures on the most important day of our life and provide us with the only memories we will have. When I first started working with her I would have never thought she would have been like this after our event. She does sell her services well but she is a complete bullshitter.

My «DAY» has come and gone. It’s been almost 4 months since my weddind and Rachele is nowhere to be found. We have come to the conclusion that we will never get our pictures and she has totally scammed us out of $ 1000 AND priceless memories. She was also a no-​show for us when it came time for the engagement photos. No call no show. We should have bailed right then and there. Little did we know we would never see our pictures from the wedding. Her website is now down as of today. We have called 30 or MORE times with no responses. We have also called YouSwoop, and they have confirmed with us that they have had nothing but trouble getting in touch with her, and all sorts of complaints have been piling in.
DO NOT USE THEM.

All I have to say is this company is not reliable. I had countless problems that went on for months after my wedding. I could not get any straight answers and everything was done on Racheles own time. She lies very often and will say whatever she has to say to get you off her back. Pictures took ages to receive and she kept blaming other companies that were not even affiliated with her. She never answered me directly when I would question her on the whereabouts of my families picture orders. Finally the pictures were received MONTHS later and there were several missing. I caught her up in a couple of the lies but it didn’t matter she just kept on lying. She also is very good at changing phone numbers and locations often to try to avoid confrontation. Its really a super headache that I want everyone to avoid. There is no reason anyone should have to deal with such an unstable person/​business.

I have dealt with Rachele on SEVERAL occasions after she did some design work for me. Rachele has saved my life so many times that I am losing count. She took my business very seriously and ensured that what she gave me was a very professional product. When things went bad with my website, she spent many, many hours getting it fixed. She truly is a dedicated business owner that does want to please her customers. I have nothing but praise for her! Also her photography work is amazing and you can tell by talking to her, she is very proud of the work that she does. Thank you Rachele for all of your work!

I am truly enjoying my experience with Rachele and Jason. We booked with them, and following week we did our engagement shoot. Inbetween the time, I spoke with Rachele and she was very interested in what I was looking for and what I needed. Her number has never changed and she is yet to keep out of the loop with anything.
RACHELE IS AWESOME!!! She was patient and full of ideas… not only is she professional, but she has a warmth to her that is hard to replicate. I got the sneak peek of my picks and they are gorgeous, my friends and family cant wait to see more.
I am vouching for Rachele and Jason, they are awesome and they genuinely care about their clients. AND they provide excellent service to boot… I would highly recommend them to anyone…

Jason if you are a credible company why would you tell us to send a certified letter to an empty building? And it is funny that you can respond to a review but you fail to call back with the address we need to cancel our contract. And as for your comments regarding our engagement sessions. Rachele never called the night before the shoot. We have phone records to prove this. I did miss one phone call at 10:30 am the day of the shoot and when the phone call was returned I got no answer nor did I get a call back. I had to send an email before I heard anything. As for your claim that you will not show up if the client misses a phone call it is not stated anywhere on the contract nor were we ever informed of such a ridiculous «policy». As for the 2nd shoot Rachele never showed up. We waited at that address for an hr and called you multiple times. I even sent you an email. We also have parking stubs and witnesses to prove this. Your contract states that you will give 48 hrs notice to cancel an engagement shoot. You did not show up to 2 scheduled sessions. You can make any claims you want. All these reviews have been given to my attorney and we will see you in court.
