Here is the specific circumstance that prompted this one-​star review: Upon arrival, my wife was explicitly told by the front-​desk staff that they accept our insurance – whereby they took her insurance card and verified on their computer – only to receive a bill for $ 2,300 one month later; our insurance provider confirmed that our coverage does not include this facility.
(Speaking of which, $ 1,400 of our bill was a «facility fee» for her merely sitting on an exam table for all of fifteen minutes. The nature of the non-​emergency treatment my wife received did not warrant this charge whatsoever.)
This egregious clerical error on their part resulted in a tremendous cost at our expense. Had she been correctly informed – about the insurance as well as the «facility fee” – she would have opted not to be treated here.
In summary, incompetence + lack of transparency = financially-​distressed and justifiably-​irate patient/​consumer.
I strongly encourage people to Google «freestanding ER complaints» to see for themselves that our experience is not an isolated incident.

I was seen immediately and Dr. Grossman was a thorough pro, overturning my PCP’s diagnosis and providing a better course of treatment which is working. The staff is great too. Highly recommended!

My husband was seen in less than 5 minutes upon his arrival. The staff is very friend and pleasant. The doctor came into the room in less than 5 minutes to see him and was very patient with all that they were going to do with my husband and his injury. This facility has Great Service and a wonderful Staff!

I took my 11 month old son in for a cold with wheezing and shortness of breath. This was such a scary moment for us, but the staff took away that fear! I have worked in an ER before as a nurse, and I know the usual chaos that comes with an ER visit, but this was anything but chaotic. The staff and process was flawless. Thank you again for taking care of my boy!

I went in for a non emergency as I just needed to get X-​Rays of my finger. I did not want to go to the Kaiser facility as it would be an all day event. Was greeted with a very warm welcome as soon as I walked in. The staff is great, happy and cheerful. I was finished with my x-​ray before I could finish the forms and the forms are not that long. In and out within 30 mins. Great service and staff!
