Vista Eye Care

After 2 visits my prescription is still incorrect. I elected to go without the tinting because it doesn’t do anything (an additional charge), and yet never received a credit or refund. After spending nearly $ 500 on a pair of glasses you would think you would be quality but that is not true with Vista Eye Care. I spent almost $ 500 and have a pair of glasses that are unusable.

While moving into our new home in Colorado from Oklahoma, I had an eye emergency and needed a particle removed that was causing great pain. I called Vista Eye Care and their staff was incredibly compassionate, kind, and eager to get me help quickly. I was a new patient with insurance questions due to our move, but they got me in immediately and treated me like family. The removal was painless and my continued comfort was their concern. I’m so thankful to have had a wonderful experience — from the initial phone call to the exit reminder to call if any problems arose. I am happy to have found a top-​notch eye care center that provides such caring service!

I had a wonderful experience, with the whole staff, from beginning to end.
I had new insurance this year, so I had to find a new optometrist, which I am very happy with my choice.
Love how fast the process was and I especially loved the variety of glasses they had to choose from.
My daughter & I both love our glasses!!!

The best optical clinic that I’ve been too. I have been pleasantly surprised by the quality of the staff here at Vista Eye Care. Originally, I came here because my young child needed to be screened for glasses and I wanted to see the staff prior to his visit. It was time for a check-​up for me as well, so I figured why not?
Inprocessing was a breeze since I could do so on-​line. There was a brief wait, but I informed that another patient had an eye infection that the doctor needed to attend to. No problem, I would want that too. When Dr. Abert saw me he took time to check out my vision and answer any questions. He even broke out several other test just to check certain aspects of my vision. I was impressed with the attention to detail that he took to get it right. I got a great prescription and moved on to looking at frames. Simone took time to explain what my insurance would cover so there wasn’t any surprises. She even gave great feedback when trying to narrow down the selection.
My wife also had a great experience here, so we knew our son was in great hands. When my son had his appointment, Dr. Pedroza carefully checked his vision and the doctors have performed follow-​ups to ensure that the prescription was correct. During follow-​ups we have been greeted warmly and we don’t feel bad asking any questions.
If you’re looking for an optometrist, then look no further. (get it, look?)

I went in for an initial exam, and contact lenses March 2015. Everything went fairly well, the exam with the Dr. was smooth. I ordered 12 months of contacts, and was on my way.
On vacation, I lost 3 pairs of contacts. So I was going to need more to hold me over to my next exam in March 2016.
I went in to Vista Eye Care to get my prescription in mid January, so I could buy contacts elsewhere. (I know a very reliable, reputable, cheaper company)
When returning in mid January 2016 to get my prescription, I went through hell to get my prescription printed out, and handed to me.
First, they asked why I needed it.(NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS)
But, I told them I am I ordering contacts elsewhere. They say they have to get a doctors permission to give out prescription. (IT IS MINE)
So I said I’ll wait for a doctor, then. They take their sweet time, while whispering about my situation to each other. Making me feel awkward.
I never did see this doctor who allowed me to have my prescription. It took 15 minutes or so of the awkwardness standing next to the receptionist’s desk, then they had the paper in their hands. Then, the receptionist says she can get the total for the contacts, I was perplexed, and told her I wasn’t buying them from Vista Eye Care. She said I wasn’t able to get them anywhere else. She said I would only be able to order 1 case of contacts, and not a whole extra year. (She is accusing me of wanting to illegally use my prescription.) Look lady, I just need contacts to get by until my script is expired. She then says that ordering contacts from ANYWHERE else is dangerous, and probably illegal, that is why they are cheaper! Can you believe this? Sounds like they are desperate for business, while probably breaking the law by telling me lies about other businesses.
Legally, it is my script if it is not expired. They have to print it out and give it to me no questions asked.
Customer Service was a joke, no one offered any help for my obvious problems.
They were rude while I was there, tried to take as much time as possible (I was in there over 30 minutes), they lied to me as I left, made me feel belittled for buying from a cheaper, online source, and accused me of wanting to do something illegal by saying I planned on buying extra contacts.
I highly recommend going somewhere else. Not only because of all that happened to me, but they have extremely high pricing, with a LOT of hidden fees.

I can’t recommend Vista enough. Dr. Abert and his staff are always prompt, professional and genuinely great people to work with. They have always worked to fit me into the schedule whenever I needed an appointment, I’ve never had to wait more than a day to get in to see the doctor. Their new, larger location is gorgeous and they have a really nice selection of eyewear to choose from. I highly recommend them!

As always, Dr. Abert and his staff provided a very professional and enjoyable experience for our family’s annual eye exams. From the online appointment convenience to the exam to the selection of new frames, Dr. Abert and staff are excellent. They never make you feel rushed or that they don’t have time to answer your questions. You won’t find this quality in the big optometrist chain stores. They also have the latest technology in testing for eye diseases such as macular degeneration, etc., and the testing costs are extremely reasonable. Vista Eye Care is a true ‘hometown’ small business that truly takes care of its patients.

My son was born with Amblyopia and thanks to Dr’s Abert and Pedroza was diagnosed well before he started school. They prescribed patching and worked with us on a schedule we could maintain so that by the time he started school he was not hampered in any way. It was remarkable to see his eyes improve over time to the point where his glasses now allow him to see perfectly. Having a child with glasses, we have had multiple broken frames and the staff has been extremely helpful checking warranties and getting us a replacement. We just had our back to school visit for our entire family and could not be more impressed with the new office. The selection of kids glasses has improved dramatically and I love that they can do most lenses in-​house now. It’s great to see businesses with great service like theirs succeed and expand!

I was pushed into Acuvue Oaysis by the doctor (WORST CONTACTS EVER! SERIOUS DRY EYE, AVOID!) and when I came back a week later asking to go back to my old brand, I was informed I would have to «pay another fitting fee because I’m changing brands” — WHAT, WHY?! It’s my normal brand, I’m not changing I’m going back to my old brand that works; I should have never listened to the doctor’s ‘advice’ to change. So frustrating! And when I said Oaysis gave me dry eye the first thing they told me was «you’re wearing them too long” — no, I wear them 6hr/​day and I’ve worn contacts 15yrs, I know what contacts should feel like. They probably make commission on prescribing those terrible Oaysis contacts. I took my Rx from Vista and ordered my old brand online. Won’t be returning to Vista Eye Care, thanks.

Dr. Abert took the time to slowly go through the eye examination to correctly determine my personal vision. With past eye doctors they ran through, «Which is better– #1 or #2?» so quickly that I was unsure which was the better vision prescription for me. I am confident this is the most accurate exam I have ever had!

The best eye care I have ever received. They are very professional and are more than willing to help. I brought in a couple pairs of sunglasses that I did not purchase there and they were more than willing to adjust them for me. I initially tried sunglass hut and they weren’t able to perform the sunglasses surgery.

5 stars are not enough!
Living in Colorado gets frustrating sometimes when dealing with businesses. It seems like too many of them care so little about customer service. Let me tell you, Vista is not one of those businesses!!! I have been here 3 times now and they are wonderful. The Dr.‘s are wonderful. Dr. Abert earned my lifelong business the first time i saw him. My mom has a very rare eye disease that he was interested in. After talking a bit I was telling him how hard it is at times for her to find resources. Not only did he give me a few suggestions, HE DID RESEARCH FOR ME. About a week after my appointment he called me and gave me some great advice and by showing that level of service and care he earned this customers loyalty.
The service only begins with the doctors. I have never once encountered a rude or curt staff member. Not only are they incredibly kind, they are very knowledgeable!!! The optician that I have been working with lately is Stevi. She is amazing. She helped me with honest opinions on my frames, she was not pushy in any way at all, and when the rubber meets the road and it is time to order, she goes above and beyond to make sure that I understand everything and to get me the best price possible. The glasses and lenses are not cheap drug store glasses. You will pay a bit, but you are not only receiving top quality glasses, you are getting top notch service along with it. It is well worth the money, a drive, whatever you have to do to get to this place. :)

The facility is really nice and the customer service is the best I have ever had! I havent had my eyes checked in 15 years and they helped me to order glasses. Simone was awesome with explaining everything and giving me her opinion on glasses! On top of it, they have a phenomenal website With a lot of good information on it. I also wanted to point out that they do a free eye exam on babies between six months to a year old.

Awesome staff, real nice office. The best eye exam in the Denver Metro Area. Dr Abert & Dr Pedroza are both friendly, professional & awesome to talk with and explain your vision needs & concerns. The new office is huge, clean and professional with a very nice selection of frames and shades. I will continue to take my family to Vista Eye Care for as long as we’re both in the area.

Excellent office! I’d been going to another eye dr for a number of years but had to switch because of my insurance. It’s a wonderful office. Dr. Abert gave me an excellent exam and found out what my previous doctor had never found. I credit him with now superb vision! If not for him, I’d still be in the dark — figuratively and literally. He treats his patients with respect. He explained details as if I were a professional myself — I felt respected and well taken care of. If I could rate this office 10 stars, I would. The front desk personnel are all friendly and caring. I’ve never had to wait at all. This office makes me feel like I am their most valued client — and I know they treat everyone like that. Wonderful! I’m very thankful for Dr. Abert taking the time and care (and having the expertise) to diagnose and treat me perfectly.

Amazing customer service! No matter if I am in getting my annual eye exam or just looking for a pair of new shades, the staff truly cares about my experience. They always make me feel welcome and go the extra step to make sure I understand everything that is presented to me and always help me make the best decisions in my eye care choices. Their new facility is beautiful!
A great place to go for all your optical needs.

This was my second visit to Vista Eye Care for my annual exam. Last time Dr. Brian Abert examined my eyes and this time Dr. Melissa Vanray was available for me and did a wonderful job as well as educating me about my eyes and my changing prescription. I know now to throw out my contacts after a months usage. ;)
The front desk staff and optical staff are very professional and super friendly. The optician, Gabe really did a great job of explaining my vision in conjunction with what kind of lenses and frames I needed but I was most impressed that he didn’t try to over sell me but informed me of my options. I would highly recommend anyone to check out their new office location as it is beautiful. I will and would most definitely recommend others to pay them a visit.

Dr. Abert and his staff are great. I felt like I received a very thorough eye exam and was thoroughly educated in the process which I appreciated. Their new location is very convenient, spacious, clean, and beautiful.

I just wanted to re-​review Vista Eye Care as I just recently visited their new facility! The facility is very, very nice!!! I can definitely see them being very successful in this new location for a long time! The staff at the front desk were prompt and very easy to work with. They got me in to Dr. Abert very quickly, and he was very thorough in the exam to make sure I was getting the best care! The automated system to tell me when my appointment was was awesome and they even had a call into me as well as a text message telling me that my contacts were in! The contacts came in very quickly and I am very happy with that because I was on my last pair!!! Thank you very much Vista Eye Care! I look forward to coming back in to see the crew!
