Established in 2014.

Welcome to our most esteemed Yelp! page. Eco Cab was founded in April, 2014 because it was apparent that the Conejo Valley needed a genuinely exceptional local car service. So, I went ahead and built, from the ground up, what is now the most reputable and (on the way to being) the most widely recognized taxi company in our area, with a substantial following of loyal customers and good friends made on the way. Oftentimes people will say, «this is the best taxi ride I’ve ever had, I’m only gonna use you guys, now,» and we’re always delighted that we’re able to provide someone with that really outstanding experience.

I’m here to do the best job possible for my clients, and to make sure that they depart from an interaction with my company in a better mood than they arrived in. This was the best cab experience I’ve ever had. Pickup was less than the promised 15 minutes after my call, Matthew was friendly and not at all creepy (something that matters to me a lot as a woman travelling on my own), the Prius was nicely maintained and very clean, and the ride was about 10% less than the price I’d been quoted by another service. I’ve recommended the company to my parents, who are less and less comfortable driving as they get older (they live in the area and I don’t). That’s about the strongest recommendation I can give.

Finding Matthew was a stroke of fabulous luck for mys*elf just arriving from a decade long sojourn from North America and California in particular …
Very Blessed indeed to find such a responsive, kind and caring driver who i happily sighted on his skateboard while awaiting my visa application to the Thai Consulate visa agents to b completed… as well as a speedy and uneventfull * ie safe quick trip into LA* an additional quick and least expected journey to Urgent Care and then off to the pharmacy for some antibiotics for a very uncomfortable sinus infection all in the same 4 — 5 hour time frame … just adjusting to the Western World is enough to leave one wondering why ever to have left the tropics whilst living in 98% humidity @ 40C environs … it IS quite a drastic leap to enter LA county aire and endless highways and biways … i could go on and on tho i’ll just conclude this review with 555 !!!

If I could give six stars I would.
Matt was incredibly responsive and helpful, and I knew I had found the right place with our first email exchange. He was incredibly accommodating when our plans changed, and then changed again. He quoted a rate over the phone, so there was no ambiguity or hidden charges.
He was very detail oriented to ensure that he could identify my husband at the airport. His pickup was very timely, and he was very courteous and kind, going so far as to wait to ensure that he was leaving my husband in the correct place. (Since the area was unfamiliar to us).
He did a great job, went above and beyond, and we would absolutely call him if the need arose again. Thank you, Matt!

Utilized this great cab company recently. Naturally expected to have a bit of a wait for service but not so. Very prompt pick up service. Matt, super courteous and helpful driver and owner of Eco Cab, picked me up timely and arrived at my destination safely. Probably the best cab service in the area!!! Being new to the country and this city, I was glad to find a taxi company like this. It offered convenience to book and cancel (just a phone call), availability at all the times and last but not the least– trustworthy and friendly drivers. I think people should encourage, promote and help such small local businesses more than other corporate giants.

I’ve been meaning to write this review for awhile, but my experience with Conejo Valley Ecocab was amazing and a pleasant surprise! On my way to the airport in May, my mother’s car broke down in Thousand Oaks (I live in Ventura) and I was stranded and losing time fast to get to the airport. With no friends to rescue me, my mother called Ecocab to hopefully rush me to the airport in time! They were very understanding and polite on the phone, and within 10 minutes Aaron was there to pick me up!
I was a little nervous at first considering I was traveling alone and had very little experience in riding in a cab (I’ve heard a lot of horror stories.) He was beyond nice and helped me with all my bags/​suitcase. He was very understanding and aware that we were racing against time so I wouldn’t miss my flight, and he did his best to find the best route possible! The car was very clean and comfortable, and I felt safer with him compared to my own mother! We had great conversation on the way, and he was so much fun to chat with. He also kept me calm and assured me I wouldn’t miss my flight, and also gave me some tips to get through the airport faster. When we arrived, he helped me make paying fast and easy, and I was on my way within a minute! I made it to my flight on time and I will forever be grateful to Ecocab and Aaron for helping me cope through a stressful situation and getting me to the airport on time! If I ever need a ride and/​or rescuing again, I know who to call! Thank you!!!

Matt picked me up this afternoon to go to the Getty because I hate to drive on the 405. It was a better taxi experience than I’ve received from any of the other taxi co’s in the area, for sure. He waited for me there and drove me back to Thousand Oaks, was very pleasant and played classical music in the car. The price was reasonable, and I’ll be using them again whenever I’m in need of a taxi.

My recent experience with Conejo valley Ecocab was above my expectations. Of my experiences with local Conejo Valley based cab operators, I have found this company and the drivers Matt, Aaron and Kenji to be extremely courteous and helpful. All drivers were very fast to arrive and always smiling and helpful. The iPad in the back seat that you can use was a major plus when I was worried about my flight status, which is perfect for airport rides. I didn’t even need to check my phone. Convenient. Rate was totally fair. Didn’t need to deal with some impersonal über driver.

I have to say that I do not use taxis very often, but based on a five star rating I reviewed from another customer, I went with Conejo Valley Eco Cab. I scheduled a pickup from a medical procedure and the driver came on time, but my procedure was not done, so the driver left the location. The nurse called the driver back when I was done and he was extremely accommodating and understanding. He could have been angry but he did not show it. He came back willingly and we had a pleasant conversation during the ride.
I would definently recommend this taxi service to my friends and family. I always take the time to compliment the ones who deserve it and Conejo Valley Eco Cab deserves it. Thanks much.
