Conejo Valley Veterinary Hospital (CVVH) is a full service veterinary hospital offering the most extensive veterinary care for Ventura and West Los Angeles County pets, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We offer Emergency Pet Care with a veterinarian and technicians on the premises at all times. Established in 1958 by our founder, Robert M. Miller, Conejo Vet was the first veterinary hospital in the Conejo Valley. We treat a wide variety of animal species, including dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, rabbits, ferrets, rodents, many other exotic animals and wildlife.

We also offer services through our Pet Resort. Your pet can enjoy a spa day with experienced our groomers. At Conejo Vet we also offer pet boarding with your choice of a deluxe or stand suite. Our guests receive 4 to 5 walks a day and one-​on-​one time with our Resort team members at no extra charge. Finally our Resort offers Doggy Day Camp. Give yourself peace of mind knowing your pet is in a safe and comfortable environment while you are at work or on a trip.

History

Established in 1958.

The first veterinary hospital in Thousand Oaks founded by Dr. Robert Miler. The practice has grown the past 50 years into a thriving 13 doctor full-​service veterinary practice that is open 24 hours a day. We have one of the best reputations in Ventura County.

Meet the Business Owner

Dr. Todd H.

Business Owner

Dr. Hughes received his BS in zoology in 1994 and his DVM from UC Davis in 1998. He also completed a surgical and internal medicine internship at Veterinary Specialty Hospital of San Diego in 1999.

Dr. Hughes has been at CVVH since completing his internship in 1999. He is currently owner and medical director of Conejo Valley Veterinary Hospital.

His wife, Stephanie Lipp, is also a veterinarian who practices at CVVH. They have a daughter and son. Their pets include two dogs (Dottie and Minnie), three cats (Yoshi, Leo, and Billy), a lineolated parakeet named Baloo, and two California desert tortoises.

Dr. Hughes’ hobbies include family time, fishing, kayaking, and snowboarding. His professional interests are small and exotic animal internal medicine and surgery.
