We specialize in assisting businesses develop a plan that increases referral business through appreciation marketing. Our primary product is an online greeting card system that adds to the overall marketing plan.

In addition to one-​on-​one mentoring, we also provide monthly drop-​in workshops on the 2^nd Thursday of the month focusing on different aspects of marketing: using Social Media effectively, how to’s on putting together a marketing plan, creating a personal brand, monetizing a website, increasing personal networking effectiveness, and others. History

Established in 2007.

The business has evolved out of a recognition of need for these services from our personal experience. In a recent survey of local small business owners, all of them requested more information about using Social Media, and none of them had a fully developed marketing plan. It seems that within our personal network, most of our contacts are using a shotgun approach to marketing, without any plan or way to assess what is working. Our goal is to provide them with productive assistance that will empower them and increase their bottom line. Our motto: «Old World Values, New World Tools.»

Meet the Business Owner

Dr. Kaaren D.

Business Owner

As a physician, a published author, and retired faculty at the University of California-​Irvine I bring my experience as a business owner and teacher/​mentor to my role as Principal at Douglas Marketing Concepts. When I retired from medicine, I looked for ways to help others in the community, and have taught classes at the Wellness Community, and worked for a short time as a literacy coach.

My passion is to help business owners use the simple principles of appreciation and gratitude to take their business further. I have years of experience using Social Media to develop relationships with people online that I have converted to customers and business partners. I help others create a plan that will work for them, and educate them about using new and old tools and concepts in different and exciting ways.
