Hess John Y, MD

Dr. Hess and his wonderful nurses and technicians took care of my mom for years. She couldn’t possibly have received finer care. Yes, there is sometimes a wait, just like in every good doctor’s office. No one loves this but it seems to be the norm everywhere these days. Now that I’m a patient I’m receiving the same caring treatment my mom got. Dr. Hess is a highly-​respected cardiologist with a warm and kind manner who has the sweetest office staff I’ve ever encountered in a medical office. A+++

If there are 2 people in the world that mean more to me than anyone else, its my mom and my 93yr old g-​ma. Upset one of the two and we’ll have a chat. Upset both and we’ve got a recipe for disaster. Somehow this guy managed to do the latter.
My g-​ma had some chest pains so mom took her in one Tuesday afternoon. They patiently waited for TWO HOURS. The nurse assured them he was overbooked and moving as quickly as possible. Then, all of the sudden he had to leave for an emergency surgery. Ok. I get it. Someone is dying. No prob. Do your thing and save a life.
The next day they go back at the appointed time. I went with them this time. The waiting room was packed. One by one people went back to see the MD. Again, the nurse assured us that he was very busy and would get to us. TWO HOURS later g-​ma gets called in to see him. After 45min my mom and g-​ma come out and we leave… That’s not the end of it. THE MD NEVER SAW THEM!!!
Look, I get that she’s 93, but she’s also more spry and got more energy than most 70yr olds! Shoot, man, you took an oath! Its your job to help people get well, right? I believe its called the Hippocratic Oath. Maybe a review is in order. Here’s a link for you:

My g-​ma HAS to go to this guy because of her insurance. In retrospect, maybe that’s why he wouldn’t see her. He wasn’t gonna get all the $$$ he wanted because of Medicare cuts. Please see above statement about reviewing the Hippocratic Oath.
If your family means something/​anything to you, find another doctor. One that will actually see them when he says he will.
