Jo-​Ann Capelaci of Colours & Concepts has been serving Los Angeles and Ventura Counties for almost a decade and has over 20 years of design experience.

Jo-​Ann Capelaci is a hands-​on designer who is passionate about her work. She is a Certified Interior Designer who understands that good design is discovering and implementing what the client desires. She introduces new and creative ideas, trends and products to engage her clients and awaken their inner designer. Then, she brings the visions from the drawing board to reality.

Colours & Concepts offers an array of services to its residential and commercial clientele, working with other industry professionals to ensure the best possible design outcomes. We bring new, inspirational ideas to our clients by listening to their needs, meeting and solving any problems head-​on, and relieving stress often associated with design through our attention to detail and ongoing client communication. By maintaining the highest standards of excellence and integrity, we work diligently to ensure the success of each project. We hired Jo Anne after she worked with our neighbors when they remodeled their kitchen and downstairs bathroom. She did great work for them and their house is magnificent. We remodeled our kitchen, dining area and family room and really did not have a clue of what would work together. She came in and presented multiple ideas after speaking with us about our own ideas and preferences. The time she spent with us at our home and multiple supplier locations was incredible. I strongly urge anyone in need of professional decorating advice to retain her services. Jo Anne was absolutely the best decision we made for our home.

I met JoAnn at various local networking events. She always had something interesting and relate able to share when it was time for her to speak about her business. This is why when I bought a house I thought to call her for some advice and guidance.
She met me at the new home as well as at some stores to help me sort through some of the more important decisions like COLOR.
The questions she asked me while in my new home made me think, and actually saved me money because she brought up a few things I would never have thought of and I ended up going in a different (better) direction.
Her knowledge and experience, along with her kind and calm demeanor took a lot of my stress away as I was making these important decisions about my new (first) home!
I look forward to working with her again when we decide to do more improvements.

Jo Anne is Fantastic! We had never worked with a decorator before but we were going to remodel our kitchen and wanted to do it right. She pointed out things that we would have missed otherwise and as a result we have our dream kitchen. She is very resourceful and saved an immense amount of time finding exactly the right products. She worked well with our contractor. I loved that she seemed as excited about our project as we did. She drew us out to express out desires so that this is truly our house, not a decorators idea of what it should be. Our project expanded into new furniture for the living room and now into our bathrooms. I love having people over now because our home feels so comfortable and welcoming. More importantly, I feel as though we have found a new friend.

I recently moved into a new house and used Colours & Concepts to help with design ideas and paint colors. Joanne, who is the owner, is amazing!!! Not only is she very creative, she also inspired me and my partner to create designs of our own. I feel like our house looks like something out of a magazine and with Colours and Concepts’ help we were able to incorporate our own taste throughout it. It really feels like «home» and I never want to leave. She helped to get us a great deal on our sofa too and always had such a positive and helpful attitude. I really feel like she designed around our personalities which made it personalized.
