Delicious treats reside here !!! If I could live at this place, I would. I’ve only had their ice cream so I can’t comment yet on their food. They’ve remodeled the place adorably though and the staff is really quite kind. It’s a bit on the pricy side for ice cream but when it’s made in house it’s worth it.

Went here for lunch with my sister and it was pretty good. What I especially liked and want to take note of was the owner happened to be out and about in the place that day. He was walking around the tables and made it a point to stop and talk to the customers, asking about the food. He was really friendly and you could tell that he really wanted this place to be successful and he is striving for it be that way! The ice creams are super yummy!!!

I live pretty close to Little calf and had never been there to start off with. A visiting friend discovered this place on Unilocal and took us there for an evening of coffee. While the coffee was definitely good, I ended up trying the california chop salad and coming from a person who just can’t do salads, it was one of the best salads I had ever had. The dressing was just great and perfectly mixed in the salad so there were no bland bites at all. Another interesting mention is the quick group game on the tables. We were a group of five and were engrossed in our food and the game, so no phones came out. All in all, little calf was a very pleasant experience! :)

Yay! Their ice cream is delicious! My son and I shared a cone with Lavender Blueberry and it was perfect. I am super impressed by their flavors of ice cream & the cone was also delicious with a notable sugar-cookie flavor. YUM! I love the interior and feel of the restaurant too, so clean, simple yet still homey and welcoming. Lots of space and a patio too. This is a great addition to the Thousand Oaks area which was really lacking a spot with artisanal ice cream!

First time here– pleasantly surprised. Had dinner and ice cream. For dinner we had the turkey melt and the mushroom Swiss burger(w/chicken instead of beef). Both were excellent– they used real turkey instead of processed(nice touch) and the bread was perfectly grilled. For the burger the brioche bun was soft and delicious. Also had the cream soda from their custom fountain– very tasty! As for the ice cream– it was delicious. You can really taste the difference in home made vs the typical Dreyers. It was thick, creamy, and came in large portions. Definitely a good value. We had both the banana split and the brownie sundae. Super Yummy! Overall ambience was nice. Facilities were clean, staff were welcoming, and the owner stopped by to check in on us. Will definitely be back again!

Came here for lunch and had an awesome time! Really delicious French Fries(I can only imagine how good the sweet potato fries are) and the West Coaster burger was really good too! This place was very hip. We felt like we were in Hollywood rather than in Thousand Oaks. They also have really unique sodas, and their root beer was to die for… and I’m not usually a root beer person so this kind of changed my stance on root beer ! Last but definitely not least… the ice cream… oh my god, it was absolutely delicious. I got the salted caramel, but sampled the dark chocolate cocoa bits and both of them taste so different from your average flavors and they are soooo good. Oh, and don’t forget the cones. They have like a cinnamon taste to them, kind of almost like French toast!!! Definitely going to return soon!!!

Huge portion and friendly service! I tried Little calf for the first time and I enjoyed their ice cream there. Overall, they have good selection of flavors and the service is very good. I got two scoops of ice cream(dark chocolate and maple walnut) and they came in huge portion! The cost is $ 3.95 for one scoop and $ 4.95 for two scoops, which is comparable to other places. The store is very clean and well kept and the staff is friendly and service is super quick. The ice cream is nice but I have to admit I prefer gelatos better. The owner came to greet us and it was a nice personal touch! I have not tried any of the sandwiches or drinks so I cannot comment on those. Other than that, we had a good experience there.

This was our first time there and we ordered the vanilla berry crisp, mint and chocolate chip, peanut butter fudge, milk and cookies ice cream, and a strawberry shake. We all thoroughly enjoyed our different flavors. This is the best ice cream that I have had since salt & straw in Oregon. If you live nearby or are just in the area I highly recommend this place. Plus you can sample any flavor you want to try! The staff is very friendly and the to go packaging was very clean and neat, no ice cream leaking over the sides of the cups. And we waited less than 5 mins for our order!

I decided to try this place with my two boys, and I was pleasantly surprised. I thought it would just be a dessert place, but the menu is diverse. My kids ordered vanilla and salted caramel ice cream cones. One scoop is plenty, and my six year old did not finish. I tasted the salted caramel, and it reminded me of hokey pokey ice cream in New Zealand, where I was born. NZ has the best ice cream in the world, because their dairy products are top notch. However, the taste of that particular flavor made me nostalgic, so I will most likely be back, just to have the ice cream! I observed a mother and her son sharing an ice cream sundae, and a little girl having one with her mom. I ordered the sweet potato fries, and they are amazing. They keep the skin on, which I have never seen before, but the product is rich and flavorful. The service was great; my son spilled his water, and the staff was quick to help clean it up. The tables were clean and orderly, and the color scheme made us feel comfortable. One thing which made our experience a 5 is the fact that they have slips of paper on each table with questions, such as «what’s the worst hotel you ever stayed in?» My kids are 6 and 10, and they are the perfect age to enjoy that type of thing — we connected, and I told them stories they had no heard before. Come to this place for the food, and you’ll leave with happy memories.

Went for lunch and ended up with 2 pints of ice cream in addition to my burger & fries. The ice cream is incredible! The maple walnut took me back my childhood when we’d have warm, 100% maple syrup on our Sunday sourdough waffles. Yes, the maple in the ice cream tasted THAT pure. Also delicious was the dark chocolate cocoa crunch. The texture of both was creamy… I know, it’s ICECREAM but seriously the creaminess… no chain store ice cream can compare. The maple was slightly creamier but the dark chocolate was velvety & deeply choco-licios. #swoon I tried one other flavor that intrigued me but should have known better because I’m not a fan of lavender in my food. Still I had to try it! The lavender bluberry. The texture again was dreamy creamy but the lavender wasn’t my thing. Yes, I already knew this but it was so pretty sitting there in a little pint container under the freezer glass, calling to me. So my lunch: The West Coaster burger(beef patty, gruyère, avocado, lettuce & tomato with chipotle mayo) plus an upgrade from chips to fries with avocado-cilantro dipping sauce. I ordered the burger medium rare but the nice cashier told me the lowest temp they cook is medium well. I told her I’d give it a shot anyway. It only took about 5 minutes for the food to come out. This definitely is a big plus for a workday lunch. The burger: The patty itself was definitely well done(too much so for me) but the flavor was spot-on. Fresh, beefy & seasoned just right. The Brioche bun was light & didn’t overwhelm the burger. The gruyère & the chipotle mayo weren’t very discernable… they didn’t add or detract. The lettuce and tomato were just that… lettuce & tomato. The avocado was a generous serving of a full half avo. The fries: They stole the show! They came out piping hot, golden brown and cut perfectly — between a skinny fry & a steak fry. There was no visable salt and my first thought was«uh-oh, I’d better find the salt before these cool off» but first I took a bite. They didn’t need any salt at all. I don’t know how they did it but the fries had the salt incorporated into them(salt bath, maybe?), I was in love! While the fries didn’t NEED the dipping sauce or ketchup provided, I pretty much polished off the dipping sauce. I’d happily eat that with a spoon. It was creamy, tangy & of course, cilantro-y. The iced tea: Pretty diluted. I should have had one of the Stubborn sodas or the Izzies Clementine on tap but I was trying to limit my sugar since I was gonna get ice cream. The Simon’s Club sandwich & The Grilled Chicken sandwich that my co-workers ordered looked delicious too and I tried the homemade chips… the were light, crisp & warm! Service is friendly and fast, samples of ice cream are happily given & I paid just under $ 13 for a buger, fries & a drink. Not too bad for the quality of the ingredients. The 2 pints of ice cream ran me just under $ 13 too. I will gladly pay $ 6+ for a pint of this amazing ice cream. I WILL be back, this is the kind of local spot I can totally get behind.

Came here on a random Monday evening after happy hour was was excited to see a homemade craft ice cream place open up in Thousand Oaks. Thousand Oaks is definitely void of good food places, so you can understand my excitement. This place is BIG, it has room for about 50 people inside and another 25 outside. They specialize is homemade ice cream and has a variety of non standard flavors. I tried the vanilla berry crisp flavor. It was ok, it’s similar to other places that have a pie ice cream flavor, but the crisp in the ice cream a bit soggy somehow. I just didn’t like the texture of it, something seemed to be missing, it’s hard to explain. I would definitely come back to try their other flavors. One big positive about this place is that they serve craft soda from Stubborn Soda. I didn’t try it, but I love places that go outside the standard Pepsi and Coke. This restaurant also serves burgers, sandwiches, and salads, seems like it would be good here. I know I’m being super picky, but one thing I did want to mention is that someone had just cleaned the table and it had a old dirty water smell to the table. It just really bothered me so I had to mention it. But that should be easily correctable. Overall, everyone should try this place out and avoid the standard baskin robins.

Checked this place out a couple of days ago. I was craving some ice cream and decided on this place because my boyfriend knew about it. The location is a little bit hidden. Its on the side towards the end of a shopping center, but nevertheless, the place is very cute looking. The outside patio seating was cute, only if it wasn’t so chilly outside. Indoors was even more adorable. I love the simplicity and the layout. I really like the mason jar light décor they. A cute idea. Their selection of ice cream isn’t very big, but I sampled half of them without going overboard, and they were all delicious. Ordering is very simple, and you pay by the scoop in a bowl or a waffle cone, or you can buy them in pints. I settled with the coffee and my boyfriend got the milk and cookies. They were both so delicious. I was wary at first on the size of the scoop, since it was over $ 4 per scoop. But they give you a good portioned scoop. This was probably the most creamiest ice cream I’ve ever had! And it didn’t melt so quickly, like other places I’ve been too. The cone itself was good too, with hints of cinnamon. My stomach was very impressed that I couldn’t even finish my whole ice cream cone. I will definitely be back when I am craving ice cream again. FYI they also serve food including burgers and sandwiches! My next visit will consist of the full meal, and topping it with some good ice cream.

This is a relatively new shop in town that is destined to become a local hot spot for virtually everyone… families, couples, lunch breaks, senior citizens, high school kids. There’s something for everyone here, from hamburgers and sandwiches to salads, to their home-make ice cream bar. All offerings are wonderfully delicious and their ice cream(which you can watch them make) is to die for. The staff is great, and the owner is there most of the time. About the only thing missing is a breakfast offering. Maybe as the place matures? A little hard to navigate into the parking area if you’re coming from the 23, but not too bad if you’re familiar with the area.

Omg, this place. This place. SO yummy!!! I usually hate burger/fast foods but omg. It tastes so fresh and yummy. And it’s such a cute and clean open restaurant. I love love it. I was originally going to leave only four stars because they forgot to include or ask me if I wanted ketchup with my order, but screw that mess, they deserve 5 stars.

This place is an absolute welcomed sight in Thousand Oaks! Locally owned & it’s great to see some originality out there. The most important thing to know about this place is that the Lavender Blueberry ice cream is the closest thing to pure magic. It’s creamy, flavorful and instantly addicting. Addicting might be understating how good it truly was! We also had the Turkey Bree Melt and the West Coaster(burger). Both had great flavor and the bun the burger came on was soft, buttery and delicious. The portion on the melt was smaller than expected for the price but still tasted great. The restaurant was spotless, service was friendly and attentive and the food came out quickly. We will ABSOLUTELY be back– again and again!

I have been here twice now in one week! First time I came here to try the ice cream, it was delicious. I had the salted caramel and my friends had the lavender blueberry and milk and cookies. We all really liked our flavors. The portions were big and the ice cream cone tastes like cinnamon. I told my mom about this place and we came back a couple of days later to try their lunch, which was also great. I had the LC burger with cheddar and my mom had a Caesar salad. We both really enjoyed our meals and I would certainly come back. I’m glad to have found a new spot in Thousand Oaks for good food and ice cream. I hope it sticks around because quite a few restaurants have been in that space over the last 10 years. Definitely recommend for lunch or for a sweet treat!

I LOVE this place. The Grilled Chicken Sandwich is the best I’ve ever had! I recommend substituting the chips for sweet potatoes fries because they’re also INCREDIBLE. I’ve even seen the owner walking around during peak hours interacting with patrons. Definitely nice to see the personal touch, that attention and care for detail is definitely reflected in the choice of ingredients and quality of the food as well as the ice cream and sorbets! Ooh and a cane-sugar(no corn syrup) soda fountain, delicious. Overall 10⁄10. Tell your friends and family they’ll want to try the Little Calf.

This review is only for the ice cream portion of the menu. Yum yum yum!!! This place is ice cream heaven. So many unique flavors to choose from that we ended up ordering a 3 scoop sundae. Vanilla berry crisp tasted just like a berry cobbler. The blueberry lavender was just divine! And then you can’t ever go wrong with chocolate chip. The owner, Scott?(I’m really bad with names) came over sat with us and he a pleasant conversation. Small family businesses have always been my favorites but this place is on another level with their customer service. The little conversation starter strip are a great addition. Great place for a first date or a family outing. Our two year old polished most of the sundae.

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream… Especially if it’s made by the creative geniuses behind Little Calf creamery. $ 4.95 for two larger than life scoops of what I can only say was the creamiest, most decadent cold desert I’ve had in ages, Lavender Blueberry who knew it would work, but it does and was complimented nicely by the salted caramel. It’s Worth every penny, though I may recommend getting one scoop, it’s truly that filling. Almost forgot to mention, hesitant to try an ice cream you’ve never had before? Just ask for a sample they’ll be glad to get one for you! The ambience is a crisp white with colorful ice cream themed art work throughout the restaurant, A calf statue in red & white striped socks sits perched at the entrance, mason jar lighting hangs from the ceiling. Walk up to order and your given a number, the staff are attentive checking on us several times throughout our visit as well as being greeted by the owner who then said something calftastic(it went over my head) Sandy S got a complimentary Cappuccino for catching on and adding her own Brrrraand of humor. This would be a fun place to bring the family, or a first date, they have cute miniature pails with conversation starter questions… Are you Stuck on how to break the ice? Ask your date what his favorite guilty pleasure is … And see if he answers honestly. ;) They also have burgers, fries, homemade lemonade, malts, shakes, Ice cream sodas & sandwiches, but these will be reviewed at a later date. Looks like I’m finding several reasons to visit Thousand Oaks more often and Little Calf is on the top of the list, word of advice you should visit too!

I’m thrilled this place has opened. A friend tipped me on the place and I ran over there in a heartbeat. It’s bright, open, airy, has a patio, and is just one of those new hidden gems that’s going to get so popular. They just opened. Haven’t tried the food, but from my two scoop ice cream in a waffle cone, it already earned a 4 star from me. Peanut butter fudge and fresh strawberry. Staff was incredibly friendly. Ready to make this a regular hangout!
