History

Established in 2010.

This Mobile Boat and RV repair company began servicing the Conejo Valley in 2010 and expanded its service to the Island of Kaua’i in 2013. We are family owned and operated with over 15 years experience. And, we’ll come to you! We offer extended hours and will have a technician out to you within 24 hours of your call to diagnose your problem and even start on a fix in most cases.

Dwight S.

Business Owner

Dwight served 4 years in the United States Marine Corps as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic. During his service in the Marine’s, he was fortunate enough to learn and switch to boat mechanics where he serviced boats and served alongside the Marine Recon units. Dwight was a Boat Repair Instructor and personally trained over 250 Marines to repair their boats while in a combat situation and is a recipient of The Naval Achievement Medal for work he performed on the USS Denver in 2001. Dwight started his civilian employment at a San Diego county marine center cleaning and painting boats. Within a couple of months, he was promoted to a mechanic, and within a year, given a technician title. He worked for the company for the next 6 ½ years, gaining valuable experience and various certifications, until transferring to Ventura County in 2009 where MarineSmith & RV was first established. He is now honored to serve the island of Kaua‘i with both professional and quality boat mechanics and repairs.
