We are Thousand Oaks first and only tattoo shop! We design one of a kind tattoos that will last for years to come. With years of tattooing experience, you can be at ease knowing that we can make your vision a reality. Our shop also offers body piercing with high quality jewelry and the most sanitary practices.

We are OSHA Certified and in compliance with the Health Dept. We maintain the highest standard of sterilization to ensure our clients are served under safe, quality conditions at all times.

We believe that creativity comes in many forms which is why our shop is filled with fine art pieces created by our own talented artists! Take one of our pieces home and display for everyone to enjoy.

History

Established in 2011.

I am Glenn West, the owner of Palace Art Gallery & Studio. We opened in 2011 and had issues with the City of Thousand Oaks over the Tattooing portion of our business. They were not agreeing that Tattoo is from of art. However, we have mutually worked it out with the City and we are happy to be a thriving business in the community. I’ve owned several other Tattoo Studios and I’ve decided to try something different; we offer a wide variety of art, classes and art parties, as well as Tattoos.

My name is Glenn west I’ve been tattooing 25 years. My mother is also an artist and she has some fine art oils displayed in the shop. My 9 year old daughter has been doing watercolors and acrylic since she was 4. I come from a family of artists. I’ve traveled all around the world tattooing and doing art related projects. I have spent a lot of time in Washington and was partnered with a friend of mine at a shop there for a while. I came back to California in the mid 2000’s and opened Classic Tattoo in Santa Paula. The shop has been there approximately 10 years and I sold it to a couple my artists so I could continue the dream with Palace Art. I have a shop in the Golden Nugget Casino during the Laughlin Bike Run in April. I’ve been tattooing in Laughlin for approximately 18 years. I’ve work the annual Sturgis Bike Rally for the past 15 years. I love traveling. Come down to Palace Art we can hook you up with any of your body art needs or you can come paint with us and just hang.

After lots and lots of research I found Bruno on Instagram and fell in love with his style. I decided to have him do my tattoo. A huge ass… Flower on my hip. Bruno was very patient with me as I was quite nervous about getting such a big tattoo for my first one. With a little explaining about what I wanted he was able to draw up exactly what I had imagined it to look like. Amazing. Let me tell you he has the hands of an angel… And made me feel very calm throughout the whole process.
I am in love with my tattoo!
The shop was clean and had a lot of awesome art to look at!
I was able to meet Haven and Devon who also work there. They were very nice and pleasant to be around during my visit.
I will definitely be visiting again and I recommend this place for all your tattoo and piercing needs!

This shop is great! All the guys are very friendly and accommodating. I’ve only gotten two tattoos here but will definitely be back for more. My fiancé got one and totally loves it and always gets compliments. I would trust any of the guys to tattoo or pierce me. Very professional and clean. Also happens to be the first tattoo shop in the city of TO. Gotta respect that!

I came to the shop in the beginning of January to get a tattoo on my hip and because of the area that the shop was located in, I was pretty indecisive about getting my tattoo there in the first place… but like they say! Don’t judge a book by its cover! The second I walked through the door, ALL of the employees were inviting & professional. I could not be more happy with my decision to choose this shop. Haven (the piercer) was so friendly! And let me just tell you!!! Bruno was SO patient. I have never seen a man more patient than him in my life. I was so indicisisive about where and what I would get tattooed but he finally helped me narrow down my options and executed the task beautifully. This was the first time I had another artist do work on my body! And trust me, I WILL be returning to this shop for the rest of my tats to be finalized! Thankyou so much Palace Art! You truly are AMAZING! (:

I had such a great experience with Devon at Palace Art! He is incredibly attentive and talented. I had him do a crown and my husbands initials. He took the time to make it perfect. He also did a beatiful tattoo for my mom. He duplicated her eye beautifully for her. My mom was loosing her eye and wanted to commemorate it. Devon was so sweet and kind to her and made sure sge was ok since it was her first tattoo. I would recommend Devon to anyone looking for high quality art work!

I’m giving them one star they’re very rude specially the girl in the front desk just went in there today and they were totally rude with me so I refuse to get a tattoo from them and they don’t want to do it on your neck which I don’t understand the only person I will go to is Devin he’s nice

I was very disappointed with the customer service I received at this place. I came in on a Tuesday with hopes to get work done by Friday. The initial artist I spoke with did not look me in the eyes when speaking to me, continuously was on his phone and let me explain my vision just to be told I don’t have any availability. (If you know your booked then don’t ask what I want). He then proceeded to turn around to the 3 other artists that were there and asked if anyone wanted to do my work. After hesitation someone came up and talked with me. I showed him ideas of what I wanted but he felt like what I had wasn’t sufficient enough. He said he would have to move around some appointments the following day and would give me a call to let me know what time to come in. He told me to give him until 8pm and then he would call me, I never received a call. When I called the shop no one answered.
When You say you are going to do something do it. Even if he would have called and told me that he wasn’t able to fit me in blah blah I would have been fine with it. don’t leave your customers hanging in the dark.
I gave this place 3 stars because it is very clean and a nice atmosphere but the customer service needs to be improved. You lost someone who would have been a loyal customer, bring new referrals and wants a lot of work done herself.

I want to start by saying how nice and respectful Glenn is.
I contacted him trying to see if I could squeeze in on a Sunday and get some work redone as it had faded and I wanted it to look pretty again. He did tell me he was pretty booked but would try to fit me in and if he couldn’t that he would try to fit me in ASAP.
Drove down to see him and he said he had a client coming in but he would call me in a couple hours if he could fit me in. Sure enough I received a text with a time and he managed to fit me in, on a Sunday… Needless to say I was thrilled…
What made me even happier was, he was very relaxed and not rushed. (you know some places will squeeze you in but rush through you, etc…) Glenn did not do that, or if he did, it doesn’t show what so ever, but I didn’t feel like he did at all.
He was SO nice, super personable, and makes you feel so comfortable. I choose to go here because I had been following Glenn’s story about his shop opening for sometime, and finally had a kid free day to finally make the trek in!
He did an amazing job in fixing some of my work in color, and I cant wait to get the rest of it finished later this week.

Got my nose pierced here the other day. The piercer did a great job work placement, was super nice, and very quick. Only issue is that I think $ 60 is steep for a nose piercing but c’est le vie

I first stumbled upon this place to get my nose pierced, thought it was kind of expensive but I paid for great quality and it was a lot less painful than my first nose piercing. The second time I came was to get my septum pierced but decided to get a tattoo this time around since their piercer had nothing but great things to say about the artists and I can see why. I’m not only thoroughly impressed about how clean and comfortable the environment was but the art work they do is amazing. They all have quite the gift at what they do.

I was there the other day with a friend and they were amazing, we talked to Bruno and Devon and they were both really professional and nice, the atmosphere there was great, my first idea was complicated and they didn’t want to do something they weren’t sure they can do perfect so they sent me to another place and my friend got a four leaves clover on his right leg.
I even gave Devon another idea to work on for me for the next time I’m there.

I got a small tattoo done on saturday at palace art by Devon. First of all he is amazing, such a sweet guy and he made me feel very comfortable about the situation since it was my first time. He took the time to make sure I got exactly what I envisioned even though it was a small piece. The atmosphere of the shop was inviting and the people that worked aside Devon were awesome! As for the tattoo, I love it exactly what I wanted, and the whole process was simple and very sanitary. I would 100% go back and recommend this place to anyone in the area!

Devon Francis: the black and grey master!
I’ve gotten tattooed by Devon twice so far (I will DEFINITELY be getting many more from him) and I am completely obsessed with both pieces!
The first piece he did on me back in October was a black and grey, very lightly shaded, rose on my foot and ankle! I wanted it to look classy and girly and he drew it out perfect for me and even stenciled on the leaves separately so that it complemented the shape of my foot! Above and beyond :)
A month later I had to come back for another, this time a lotus flower on the inside of my leg. Again, I wanted it very lightly shaded, girly and classy! And that’s exactly what I got!
I highly reccomend Devon for any black and grey or script! Although I’ve seen him do a lot more than that, just visit the shop and look through his portfolio :)

Very clean, and very welcoming! Everybody is extremely friendly and helpful! You are helped as soon as you walk in and most of the time you can be scheduled that same day if you are in a hurry to get tattooed or pierced!

So glad Thousand Oaks is finally on the map !!! Palace Art is a great place to get a tattoo. Laid back atmosphere, great music and cool art on the walls. The tattoo artists are all extremely talented, friendly and each with a great sense of pride in their work. Even when they aren’t tattooing someone they are busy working on drawing or creating new designs. The work I had done exceeded my expectations. So much so, I went back to get just one more (haha). Great attention to detail, shading and color. If you are considering getting work done, do yourself a favor and check out Glenn and his talented crew.

Drove up to the place and it looked a little sketchy already. Decided to walk in anyway to check it out on the inside. Me and a friend were looking to get piercing, one in the ear and one on the nose. The piercer was outside talking to friends in a car and when we walked in looking for the piercer, a client of hers said «Oh you’re looking for Tanya, she did my lip piercing last week.» This woman’s lip was so swollen and red. We asked what kind of nose piercings she had and she opened up a plastic drawer and there were clear boxes in there, that held the jewelry. It was not professional, nor did it look clean. The tattoo artist was well put together and the shop itself on the inside was nice, I just would definitely not recommend this place for a piercing.
