Thousand Oaks Auto Fair

I used their services a few years ago when I was younger and naïve. Multiple people recommended this place to me — I should have asked if they had ever actually sold a car there.
The owners were friendly enough, but they really don’t care if your car sells unless it goes past the fourth week. At that point they will start offering help. For me, even then, the car didn’t sell. After week 5, I started putting the car online (Craigslist, Recycler, Auto Trader) and it sold that week. The free online ads were much more valuable to me than the «Auto Fair.»
I never got any leads from the Auto Fair, no calls, nothing. The free online ads got me 3 prospective buyers within a few days, and the car sold to the first person who went to see it at full asking price.
These guys have a good idea, I’m sure there is an occasional sale, but in my opinion their services are not worth the cost. I would never recommend selling a car here. You are just wasting your money. I would much rather have had an extra $ 200 in my pocket, and the time I spent driving back and fourth to their Park n Ride back.
Try advertising online first. It’s free and low-​effort. When I was selling, Craigslist wasn’t as big as it is now, so it wasn’t the first thing I thought to do — it should be your first option. This place is somewhere you should go once you’re really desperate.

Our family has been fortunate enough to sell or buy cars & RV’s there for over 12 years, they have been there since 1992, you deal with the owners, not a dealer salesman, there are no commissions, just a low flat display fee you pay to leave your vehicle there, they show it and you sell it quickly.
If you are a buyer, they show you the car, truck or RV displayed on their lot and then you deal directly with the owners, no middleman or commissions.

Great place to find a budget car. Private, for-​sale, vehicles. Best to find cars under $ 20k. From a seller standpoint, you’ll likely only have lookie-​loos if listing a car over that amount.
Friday-​Sunday; open early. $ 60 to place your car for the weekend, $ 10 off coupon on website, and $ 15 off on Unilocal

Great place to find a car within my budget. The staff very helpful and answered all of my questions.
