Three Rivers Community Players Theatre has been bringing live entertainment to the Community for four decades. We offer a wide variety of shows, including a musical, a children’s show and a holiday variety show. History
Established in 1973.
Three Rivers Community Players has been bringing live entertainment to our audiences for 40 years and boy have we come a long way. In 1973 a small group of Charter members founded the Community Players and performed the first show, ‘The Man Who Came to Dinner’, at what was then known as «The Off Broadway Play House» and served as our main venue in the early years. Over time, the audiences grew and so did we. It was at this point that the Players began performing at a new venue, the Three Rivers Middle School. It wasn’t until 2000 that we made ourselves at home in the building you are sitting in now. Our debut show in the Player’s building was «Zara Spook and Other Lures» and due to the humble set up of our new digs, the show was performed in a ‘theatre in the round setting’. Not only that, it was performed in what is now our scene shop! So, as you can see, the evolution of our theatre is evident but one thing has remained constant and that is our supreme desire to bring year lo
