Advanced Landscape Services

We had tried to keep up our yard by ourselves for about a year, but it got to the point where we needed a professional to bring it back to its former glory. I sent Advanced Landscape Services a message through their site and the owner got back to me within a few hours. After a consult, where Mark was frank yet hopeful about what needed to be done, I knew he was the right person for the job. We hired him for a yard clean up and monthly maintenance. The cost was very reasonable based on other bids I got.
After our first clean up I came home and was almost in shock. Mark is a miracle worker! The yard looked amazing and it would have taken me probably two days to do what he did in a few hours. I am so very happy we found Advanced Landscaping and am looking forward to many years of service with this company.

We neglected our yard last year after having a baby. Mark saved the day (and the summer) when he showed up to clean things up for us and give the grass a much needed cut! We decided to get a weekly service, freeing my husband’s time up for playing with the kiddos. Mark is dependable and we have been pleased with Advanced Landscape.

We had hired Mark to do a yard cleanup and continuing monthly maintenance. We were given a quote for the cleanup and the monthly maintenance and monthly maintenance was started. The yard cleanup was never done and we were never billed for it, but when we asked when the cleanup would be done we were told he underbid us and he thinks it was in his and our best interest to discontinue the service as he was unable to complete the work he had quoted us. We would have been more than happy to discuss adjusting the quote to better meet his and our needs. Instead we were not communicated with or told until we asked that he was unable to do what he quoted us for. We had received a bill for 2 weeks of June and the month of July for the maintenance. We sent out the check for the full amount to the him before we learned he would be discontinuing services. We discussed via email with Mark that he would reimburse us for the month of July which we received no service, to which he agreed. We have since received no reimbursement and have made several attempts to get a response from Mark with no luck. We even filed a BBB complaint and he has not responded to that either. I called the landscaping contractors board and his licence is no longer in effect.
I’m starting to wonder if all these reviews were written by himself because we went into this thinking we made a great choice only to have to fight for him to give us any answers and follow through with his work. All we wanted was money back for work that was never done. Why is that so hard?

We had asked for a bid for yard cleanup, so to bash how horrible the yard was to such an exaggerated level is completely unnecessary. We were completely understanding and civil and only wanted updates, as the communication was not there. Yes my husband smoked outside, not to watch you, but as a responsible person not exposing his family indoors to secondhand smoke. Not sure why you felt you had to bring that up? Considering this happened in June 2014 and you are now responding March 2015 is kind of confusing to me. We understood this job was not for you but we did pay you for a month of maintenance in advance, you agreed to reimburse the month of July in which the services were not done. We waited several months sending several emails asking if it was on it’s way or for an update with no responses. I did in fact call the landscaping contractors board to see what we should do because you had a listed license number on your website (which is no longer there), they told me it was no longer valid. We waited and waited for any sort of response from you to no avail. I have all the emails in which we were never unpleasant in anyway if you would like to see them as a reminder. I’m not saying anything negative, just sharing the truth of what happened with the public, which is what this site is for.

Short story is absolutely hire Mark is you need anything done in terms of lawn and/​or landscape.
I emailed him saying I need my rental property, which was let’s just say not in great shape. I also emailed several other companies. He responded by email within an hour, he did the work two days later on a Sunday, and everything was completed extremely well. By the way, I didn’t even hear back from another company until after Mark had completed the work, and they called me (I told everyone I preferred email).

Mark is my hero! We needed a huge clean up in our back yard because company was coming and Mark came through!!. We called him because of Unilocal reviews and he absolutely delivered a thorough and very timely service. We are keeping his service on a regular basis because he does such a good job. We would highly recommend Mark and Advanced Landscape.

I found Mark and his company on Unilocal and trusted so many of his 5-​star reviews. Everyone was right-​on. Mark took out my old lawn and replaced it with new sod. I accepted his recommendation for the type of grass to use. It is beautiful — like a deeply piled green carpet. I am so pleased with Mark’s work. He was on time all the time, communicated promptly, and was so much more affordable than anyone else I contacted. I’m hoping to find another project for Mark. I highly recommend Advanced Landscape.

Due to some miscommunication with the City of Tigard, we needed a backflow test on relatively short notice. This company’s website says they do backflow testing. I called, left a message explaining that i needed backflow testing, their website says they do it, could someone please call me back to see if we can schedule something soon, because i’m on a deadline.
They never called back.
Granted, i only waited 48 hours, but as i mentioned above, i only have a few days to get this done. If they’re too booked up or whatever to do a small quick job for a new customer, they least they could have done is called back and told me to look elsewhere.

Highly recommend for all your landscape needs. I got several quotes and Lenny’s price was spot on with the competition. I decided to go with Advanced because of the honesty and respect Lenny showed me in all our communication/​interactions. His work was top notch, he was on time and never tried to talk me into anything more than I needed. The best part, for money reasons, I wanted to break my project into phases, Lenny understood that and created the foundation for what is going to be my dream landscape. I will definitely use Advanced again when I’m ready to start phase 2.

I was very pleased with the work that was done. I wanted new grass and an irrigation system. I got a detailed proposal, the guys showed up when they said they’d show up-​they even rearranged my landscaping at no charge. They’ve gone out of their way to take care of me, even coming by to fertilize my yard because they were in my neighborhood at no charge. I can’t say enough good things about this company. Great job, guys!!!
