I am giving this store two stars, because I really do enjoy the products. What I don’t like, are the snotty sales girls that up-sell you on products that you do not need, and then treat you like scum when you decide that $ 500 is too much for makeup. Then to top it off, I decided to buy it because I felt like I had to, but their credit card machine charges you double, so when my card wouldn’t run for $ 1,000, I wasn’t able to even purchase it! They made me feel so bad, and very frustrated. I was able to go next door to Macy’s, where the genuinely nice salesperson allowed me to purchase the items I actually wanted. $ 250 later, I was MUCH happier and stocked up. I am still very upset about how these women treat customers. Yuck.

Super friendly, helpful and professional staff any time I’ve visited this store over the years. The boutique is beautiful and feminine, and if you prefer female staff that aren’t as staunch as some of the bigger department stores, this is your place. The selection of product is quite large. They carry skin care products and makeup, with a very large selection of colors for eyes, lips and cheeks. I gave three stars, because at some point(boy have I been out of the loop), the bare minerals/essentials company started putting hydrogenated oils, alcohol, urea, and a HUGE list of other chemicals into their products. The reason I used to enjoy this company, is because it didn’t put a bunch of yucky stuff in their face lotions. So now, it’s Back to making my own. The sales associate could not tell me what any of the ingredients or chemicals were for, nor did she know why the company started adding all of these mysterious ingredients, which they never used years ago. If you aren’t concerned about the products you’re putting on your face, then this store is pleasant, pretty and the staff is great. They’re right across from Lush inside the Washington square mall.

While shopping at the mall I knew I wanted to stop at the BE store because I was hoping they would have their new foundation. I was greeted quickly by a lovely lady who complimented me on my maxi dress! Love that. She was very knowledgeable and sadly they didn’t have it in yet. But I will be back because the store is really nice and clean, well organized and lovely staff.

Jessica did my make up before a swanky event I had to go to. She did a great job! If you want a nice make over I recommend this place. They listened to what I wanted – I’m not the kind of person to wear a ton of makeup(I barely know how to put it on) and she taught me some tricks. Also, instead of taking her lunch break she helped me out!

I love this makeup! My skin looks great and it looks like I have no makeup on at all!

I purchased this make up for my sister and she liked it so I figured I’d give it a try. Pros: I was able to walk in without an appointment and get someone to give me the entire spiel and show me how it all worked. Their return policy is fair. Cons: The girl who helped me was very young(high school age) and layered so much stuff on my face it was no longer a shade anywhere near my natural skin tone. The lighting was so bad in the store that I didn’t realize how bad I looked until I was in natural light outside. By then I had a bag full of their products so I brought them home to test them out myself. I gave it 4 months and in that time I mastered how to use the products but it was not a fit for my skin so I am no longer using them. However, in that time I did go back to the store multiple times and got fair to shoddy service each time. Not one time did I get thorough information about the products and with each purchase I had to go back for further explanation and demonstration. They need to educate their staff and get better lighting. If they made those improvements it may be a better experience.

I always avoided this makeup like the plague because it was all loose and I saw the way it tore up my sister’s bathroom. There was always a light dusting of the makeup that she couldn’t help but get everywhere. I transitioned to the makeup when I tried their shimmery eye shadow pots. One day, while roaming the only store of its kind in Oregon, I decided to do a free consultation. It took about 30 minutes and was wonderful. The woman who helped me, Brandi, was friendly, gave good advice and was able to find the right blend of colors for me. It’s been about a week since I started using this line and continue to get compliments on how healthy and natural my skin looks. So far, no makeup dust, so I’m a happy woman.
