The Lobster Connection is a family run seafood restaurant servicing Laconia’s Lakes region for over 18 years. We offer fresh seafood dishes to delight any appetite. From our North Atlantic sweet lobsters, succulent fried clams, Creamy Lobster Bisque, to Chicken and burgers for the kids. We have the largest selection of live lobsters in the Lakes Region ~ cooked and packed to travel.

History

Established in 1995.

The business started because the owner designs lobster holding systems. He installs systems to keep lobsters alive ~ our 3000 gallon lobster holding tanks are the proprietary technology backing our success. The advanced water filtration system is designed to super oxygenate the lobsters and provide an ultra clean ecosystem attributed to sweeter lobster and healthier crustacean. At first the Lobster Connection only sold lobsters and steamers. It soon became apparent that there was a need for a good seafood restaurant in the Tilton area and it made sense for the owner to expand to the current Lobster Connection offerings.

I have been working in the marine biology field since 1977. I have a degree in marine biology and oceanography from SM. I worked nine years on a project for Lockheed Martin on the Maine coast, Monterrey, CA and the big island of Hawaii. That’s where I invented the filtration system that I have today and have been selling for the last 28 years.

Best seafood in the area! Always fresh! There can be long waits at times, but so very very worth the wait. Prices are pretty reasonable. Service is very friendly. Wish they were open year round, I live in the area and it’s a long winter when you want great seafood!

I ordered the food sat out side saw a lot of people show up an said that they have a long wait they all sat down an had there food at least 10 people ate an left I got my food 1 hour wait the shrimp was taste less my lobster role was very light on the lobster. I said to the owner that was a long wait he said some people are never happy poorly made food an that remark will never go there again

The roll is a large bun… Too much bread! Not enough lobster
The price is the cheapest around at $ 14
I’d gladly pay $ 20 for a hotdog roll filled with fresh lobster. Hope the owners look into this!
Not sure how some of these reviews rate the lobster roll as the best or very good. The options must be few up here in the lake region.

So good! Prices were very reasonable for the lobster rolls. There was a bit of wait for our food to come out but when it did the fries were hot and crispy, the lobster fresh with the perfect balance of dressing and meat. If they switched to the traditional lobster roll bread, I would give this place 5 stars. Unfortunately to me there was just a tad too much bread to lobster.
Outdoor seating only, fantastic on a sunny summer day.

Some of the best seafood that I’ve ever had in my life. Even the fried stuff is very fresh. The lobster roll is phenomenal and is a large amount of lobster for the price that they charge. The fried clams, scallops and haddock are all excellent. Would highly recommend this to anyone who likes seafood.

Awesome. Great little place. People were friendly and the food is fantastic. Doesn’t get any more fresh. The lobster roll hit the spot. Tomorrow I will try the whole lobster and some bisque. It’s very casual and the seating is outside so make sure to bring a coat or sweater if it’s chilly out.

Delicious Lobster Roll, a must go when you’re in the area. Skip the Lobster bisque… to much cream, not enough lobster meat. But again, the Roll was awesome!

Great lobster roll with plenty of meat. This is the most reasonably priced seafood restaurant in the Lakes Region. A competitor in Gilford sells them at «market price» for $ 25.00 for one roll. We paid $ 36.00 for two meals including fries, cole slaw and soft drinks.
We’ll be back again, next time I’m buying a two pound lobster.

This has been my go to place for fried seafood in the Lakes Region for the past 10 years. It is consistently good. The prices are fair. It is primarily a take out place with some sheltered picnic tables. The lobster roll & clam rolls are great. You typically get a generous portion of clams & lobster. The French fries are excellent. Don’t let the gruff looking intense guy behind the counter scare you away. He’s actually quite personable if you talk to him.

Great food, fried seafood always cooked just right. The coleslaw is very good. It have one complaint, the tartar sauce is terrible, all mayo. I have yet to find a restaurant that has good tartar sauce. Just add more relish and a touch of Worcestershire sauce.

This place is great! Had a lobster roll that was excellent. Lots of fresh (not frozen like some places) lobster meat. And how happy am I to have found a a real lobster pound that keeps the lobsters in a proper tank. Give this place a try — you won’t regret it. OH, and the prices aren’t bad either.

This place is amazing. Its the classic new england seafood type of situation, its more of a takeout kind of deal, although they do have some picnic tables outside. The lobster rolls were perfect, like actually.
We also bought some huge lobsters, scallops, steamers etc to cook later, all amazing.
The guy who runs the place goes to Maine to get the lobster daily, he then has a very specific kind of tank which keeps them perfect. Apparently he is a biologist or something as well, the man knows lobster. Seriously if you randomly find yourself nearby stop in for a lobster roll you will be VERY glad you did.
