Delgrosso’s Amusement Park

We just visited this park over the past weekend. We called in advance and asked about cost of entering the water park and park. We were told that it was $ 20 for the wrist band, but my in-​laws (who were a bit older and didn’t plan to do anything at the waterpark but watch) were gong to be free to enter. We get there and then they tell us everyone is $ 20 across the board. They cannot enter unless they pay. We just drove 45 minutes, what were we gong to de? So we paid. Then, I waited in line for 20 minutes to get something to eat. There was only 5 people ahead of me. I asked when I got up there how long it would take to make a hoagie. They told me 5 minutes. I waited 20 more minutes for them to make 2 cold hoagie sandwiches (no joke, I am serious). The overall experience was ruined right off the get go. Last thing. This park IS NOT handicap friendly.

My family’s favorite amusement park! They always ask to go back! They enjoy the water park. can’t wait until the addition is complete! Very clean, and the staff is always very friendly! Great rides and great food. We will be back next year!

Kids loved it. Next time we will have to check out the water park. My son’s experience on the X-​Scream will be a lifelong memory.

We went recently for our family’s vacation and they just started accepting military/​veteran discount. They will allow the person with the military/​veteran/​dependent ID a maximum of two (2) tickets with the discount. Since my husband and I both have ID’s we paid $ 13.95 per person for our family of four. It’s a pretty good price considering it includes all-​you-​can-​ride for the amusement park and access to the adjacent waterpark.
For those who don’t have a military/​veteran ID, they offer discount tickets if you can get your hands on their DelGrosso spaghetti sauce sold at local grocery stores. (Check DelGrosso’s website for details.)
Also, there’s no entrance fee and the parking is free so if you’re there to accompany kids, you don’t have to pay anything.
There’s also an option to buy tickets instead of the pass/​wristband. Each ticket is 50 cents and the amount of ticket for each ride varies. If I can recall correctly, the DodgeEm (Bumper Car) required 5 tickets ($ 2.50), Pharaoh’s Revenge — 3 tickets ($ 1.50), Crazy Mouse — 5 tickets ($ 2.50), carousel/​merry-​go-​round — 2 tickets ($ 1), train ride — 2 tickets ($ 1). There are other rides although I cannot remember all of them but the lady at the ticket booth would be more than happy to tell you how many tickets each ride cost.
There are several rides for the little ones and there are also enough rides for the older kids to keep them occupied. Sure, this is not as well known as Six Flags or Busch Gardens but the rides are thrilling enough for the entire family to have a blast. It’s also way cheaper but the park is clean and it is not run down. The staff are also very nice and friendly.
We went on a Tuesday and even though schools are already out, the lines are not very long so you don’t have to stand in the heat for too long. The lines moved fast enough for you to go on the rides again.
For lunch, we bought a box of pizza and drinks. I think the pizza was between $ 12-​$ 14 a box. (You have a choice of pepperoni or sausage and veggies.) They sell them by the slice too. The drinks were between $ 2.90 and over depending on what they were and the size. There are different booths to buy food and drinks like fries, hoagies, deli, ice cream, lemonade, etc. and there are many different places to enjoy your food (some with covered tables and shaded benches.)
There are two sets of water slides (I’d say each one is at least 3 stories high) and a kiddie area with a huge water bucket that tips over. It’s like their little playground on the water and it even has a slide for the young ones to enjoy.
The only reason why I didn’t give this a full 5-​star review is because there’s no pool to swim in for the older kids. However, they’re expanding the park (we could see the construction site right beside the fenced area) and their sign says it will include a wave pool and a lazy river coming in 2016 (I believe that’s the year on the sign if I remember correctly).
This was our first time here and we didn’t know what to expect but we’re glad that we went. Overall, we were satisfied with our time here and hope that we can go back again.

A great place to take your family. Prices are GREAT and the best part is that you do not have to by a pass just to walk around the park. You do how ever have to buy a pass to go into the waterpark area, but a pass is 19.95 so that it isn’t bad at all. The food is alright, but what do you expect from an amusement park. The rides seemed pretty safe, but it seemed like a lot of you kids were running the rides. The park is clean and family friendly. This place is worth a visit and for the price, you can’t beat it at all.

Great little amusement park for kids and adults who don’t like to ride a lot of rides. You can buy an all day pass or just a few tickets. The park is clean and the prices are very reasonable. We go every year.

Great place for kids. My son enjoyed the rides. They need to update their bathrooms badly, no hot water and only one blow dryer for hands. They do however have a place for infants and young babies to change and feed.

Spend half a day at Lakemont then come here for the evening.
Enjoyable. Not a big park. It’s fun and enjoyable. The atmosphere is a little lackluster – no charm or unqiueness to the park. Food is good though. Try the pizza!

This was our first time at this amusement park. The family enjoyed themselves. We hit the water area first. They have a big kiddie area and 2 big water sides. Nice and small water area. We had a great time there. Next onto the ride area. This was unusually small for us because we use to huge amusement parks. They have more elementary kiddie rides in the kids kingdom area. Rides for kids under 4 years old. It’s something nice and slow if your not a person who wants to be worried about losing your kids in a big crowd. There won’t be one here. They also have some rides for the big kids age 15 and under and go karts too. It rained today but it didn’t pour down so the rides kept going and the kids enjoyed every minute of it. We had a great time.

Great day trip! The water park was wonderful, the kids had a blast exploring the playground area in the water, and they have plenty of water slides for the little ones to utilize. Heavy lifeguard presence in the kids area, and clean facilities. One bathroom & changing area was small. Food reasonably priced, gift shop another story ($ 14 for children’s sunglasses!) Spent the afternoon in the park, which is on the smaller side, but given price for an all day pass was worth the $ for the kids. Kids Kingdom offered a lot of rides for the toddler ages. Staff is friendly & helpful. If your looking for more adult rides this probably isn’t the park for you, although some rides are offered they are mostly carnival type rides with the exception of the «crazy mouse». Food is fantastic in the park & reasonably priced… don’t leave without trying something in their sauce! Great spot for families looking for a day, but you probably wouldn’t need the entire day.

Well, this park wasn’t my cup of tea. The idea of an amusement park that’s free to get into was cool so I came. The rides were very underwhelming and the lines were a little longer than I thought they should be for the lackluster rides so I didn’t get on anything. I think this park should be marketed to kids and families because if you’re not a kid or in a family with a small kid you may be let down.

My family and I visit Delgrosso’s at least once or twice every summer and it’s always a fun and pleasant experience. The younger kids have just as much fun as the adults do! It’s affordable, clean, friendly family fun!
There’s usually short waiting lines for the rides. They have most of your typical rides: Scrambler, Tilt-​A-​Wirl, Swings, Pirate Ship, as well as the Crazy Mouse roller coaster and new X-​Scream tower (Warning: do not ride if you’re afraid of heights! It’s a doozy!)
The food there is very good and affordable. The pizza is amazing. Talk about good pizza sauce! So yummy! Their subs are equally as good! They also have specials like spaghetti Wednesdays.
It’s definitely fun for the whole family to enjoy!

Yet another awesome visit to DelGrosso’s last week.
We went on a Wednesday and the crowd was very light. No waits all day of more than a few minutes at the most and a lot of the time it was just walk up and ride.
Another bonus was that the wind was blowing in the correct direction at the water park so you could smell the scent of spices/​sauce as the factory was in high gear all day long. Speaking of sauce, if you have bought any of the Delgrosso products at the park, this year everything has a new home in their new gift shop.
I’m not going to give it away but if you think that the discount on the sauce jar is good you need to dig harder as much better discounts exist if you search for them.
(Kudos to Gregory over at the water park first aid station who helped my daughter out when she cut her nose while riding the Great White slide. He was a first rate professional in every way.)

I think this place is great espexially for kids. Lots and lots of shade, the rides are a bit lame for the kids. They all go in a circle except for a caterpillar roller coaster. The place is very clean and surprisingly not crowded on memoroals day. There is a pizza place and hoagies at another place. Surprisingly nice and peaceful

Great park to visit if you have younger children. We took our 5 and 3 year olds there a few months back. There’s ample parking available, with access to the park by a bridge over top of Olde Us 220. In the mountains it gets much cooler and it makes for a beautiful day. Exceptionally affordable compared to Six Flags and Hersheypark.
They have an all-​day-​ride pass or pay as you go rides, which have a further discount on the backs of DelGrosso’s Spaghetti sauce. Waterpark is a blast, 5 year old loved it!

This is a great family friendly park. The size is perfect — it’s smaller than your typical amusement park which is great because that means shorter lines so you can actually ride everything without feeling rushed! We visited with family and friends and had 4 kids ranging from 4 – 6 along with 7 adults. Everyone had a great time. The kids went on just about every ride they could and so did the adults! We didn’t get to play in the water because it was a chilly day so we skipped it, but we could see there was a huge play area for little ones and the slides for the bigger kids looked great!
We ate lunch here which was really good — we had the potato salad which was a fabulous as promised. They have everything from pizza to salads so everyone should able to find something they want. Don’t miss out on the fabulous ice cream — it’s huge servings and you can pick multiple flavors for the same price which was great for trying out different kinds!
This is a great park for all ages! The prices are reasonable for an all day pass and if you just want to visit the ride side you don’t have to pay if you’re not going to ride anything. The park is clean and the staff is friendly.

We have not seen or visited a better small family amusement park anywhere. Perfectly clean, no riff raft, inexpensive and beautiful. The pizza is really good. We were there about 5 years ago and our Son (then 14) left his phone on a ride. The operator found it and called my phone and found us to return it. Its that kinda place. The go karts and mini golf are the best we have seen. Not too far from State College pa if you are out that way. Its a must visit

This is a wonderful amusement park for small children. We have taken our 1, 4, and 7 year olds here twice summer of 2010. They love it! The price is cheap and you can get coupons on the back of their spaghetti sauce. You only have to pay to ride and you can get a wristband or tickets. The water park is usually cold and crowded but my kids enjoy it.
