Milk & Honey Bazaar was recommended to me. I had a few other places to try since the only type of cheese my husband and I eat is raw cheese, so we went to Milk & Honey Bazaar last on our list. They had the best selection of raw cheese than any other specialty store we’ve been too. I was so please to see the variety but I was not able to enjoy the experience because the person behind the counter was not so friendly or helpful. Even though I told her that we were looking for raw cheese, I didn’t even get the help I needed choosing because she didn’t even give us suggestions. I had to ask about the cheese and ask to taste it. At the end I was so frustrated that I finally said to her, «What do you recommend», since she wasn’t willing to offer any assistance. The two cheeses we bought were excellent and we do appreciate the large selection but not the service. The other two specialty stores which also sells raw cheese near Newport has remarkable customer service, Milk and Honey should learn from them and treat everyone the same. After reading all the reviews that everyone wrote mentioning how knowledgeable and helpful they are was more disappointing to me on the assistance we received.

Nice selections of cheese and pâté. They let you taste before you purchase. There are always several items set out to try. The pâté is always fresh and tasty. We look forward to stopping here on the way to wine tasting

The perfect little shop for all those hard to find cheeses! The Brie is fantastic, so is the Quebec cheddar is to die for. Ask to try a sample, you can’t miss! Also have natural honey and some of the best balsamic I’ve ever had! The staff couldn’t be nicer or more patient! Truly a gem!

They sell a truffle cheese that is absolutely to die for! The staff here is great as well and are so helpful if you need some ideas for pairings!!!

They had a good selection of cheeses and a few different pates to choose from. The ladies that work there are knowledgeable and are nice enough to help you figure out what type of cheese to buy. I’m unsure what type of brie was bought by my friend, but it was creamy and had a tanginess to it. It was really good, as was the herbed goat cheese and the one that came with berries.

Great place to stop at on your way to a picnic or wine tasting down the road at Sakonnet Vineyards.
They’ve got varieties from all over the world as well as local offerings. You can taste any cheese you’d like and your portion is always cut fresh from the block or wheel. The staff are very knowledgeable and give great suggestions based on what you’re in the mood for or how you’ll be serving the cheese.
They have fresh bread from Provencal Bakery and a small case with pestos, dips and saucisson offerings. For $ 5 you can get a Milk and Honey cooler bag complete with ice pack for transporting your goods.

Great lil’ shop just like you’d picture a mom and pop cheese shop with all the right fixins. I tried two and bought them. They also have blue cheese stuffed olives and local raw honey! Make a day out of Tiverton and stop by here on your way home. Well worth it.

Only if immersion in an entirely lovely sensory experience appeals to you, one devoid of the pressure, pace and multi-​tasking of our contemporary lives, should you step a toe into Milk and Honey Bazaar… or it’ll take you there anyway.
It’s all beautiful: the arrangements of clusters of cheeses and little gourmet treats, the soft feel of wood, the wide entry letting natural light stream in and cast cheesy shadows.
I find Milk & Honey to be a celebration of simple pleasures, and also a celebration of place. I discovered more cheeses, honey and other food products made in South Coast Mass than I ever knew of, even local, hand-​crafted cheese and cutting boards for sale. I can’t wait to go back and gather goodies on the way to Sakonnet Vineyard.

One of the nicer cheese and specialty shops I’ve been to in a while. Awesome selection of cheeses from around the world. The service here really does set them apart though from other places I’ve been to. I feel like when I usually go to a cheese shop, I feel the stuffiness and attitude sometimes. Here at Milk & Honey, they’ll ask you for your favorite cheese, give you recommendations and offer you samples! When trying the various cheeses, they’ll explain to you how it was made, what it’s made from and where it originates from. I wasn’t planning on buying anything but I ended up walking out wit a nice chunk of 6 year aged Vermont cheddar, which was delish. Definitely stop in if you’re in the area, I guarantee you walk out with at least something!

Had to stop by here after all the positive reviews, and it did not disappoint. A really cute market that specializes in cheese, honey, oil, and spreads.
What makes places like this so special is the service. I was greeted as soon as I walked into the place, but was not accosted. I was told to take my time and that I could sample anything I wanted — just let them know. A few minutes later I was greeted again by the 2^nd employee.
There were a few cheese already cut and ready to be sampled on the front table, but the real eye catcher is the vast variety of other cheeses in the case.
I love the detailed descriptions of each cheese, the cute chairs and décor that flank the exterior, and the focus of the store.

The moon is made of green cheese.
It’s places like Milk & Honey Bazaar that make me so happy to live in Rhode Island. With its perfect cow country farm-​type location and Provencal ambiance, it feels much like one of the green grocers you’d find on the southern side of England.
You could find everything from artisan cheeses, bread, oils, vinegars, pates, charcuterie, olives and more. When we have friends visiting from PA, we couple a trip to Milk & Honey with a visit to Sakonnet Vineyards. We start with a wine tasting and end with the a cheese sampling or tasting here. They’re very generous and allow you to try any of the cheeses you’d like. The workers will assemble gift baskets for you and they also sell a nice assortment of handcrafted cutting boards and other gifts made by the owner’s family members, I believe.
Best of New England is hard to beat.
I always wished this market was within biking distance from my house. I would joyfully pedal over wearing a long cascading vintage dress and a big floppy straw hat. I’d load my groceries into the front basket; guiltless and happy. The next day, I would do it all over again.

As a transplant to RI from Northern New England, the drive down Rt. 77 to Tiverton Four Corners and on through to Little Compton is my fave. The quiet, rural and old fashioned feel of this area reminds me of home and Milk and Honey Bazaar is part of it’s charm. The owners are helpful, kind and informative and give off the kind of chill, welcoming, but non-​pushy vibes I like when browsing a shop. On my recent visit there were several samples of soft and hard cheeses and I made the selection of the Double Gloucester w/​Chive, a rich and flavorful cheese. The owners were even so kind as to recommend several ways to incorporate this cheese in to my cooking which I appreciated. I also made off with some local eggs, another one of their many offerings. The rustic and open old building is charming and the goods quite more affordable than expected. A much recommended stop on your drive down to this most lovely spot in Rhode Island.

This is a wonderful little cheese shop has a surprising variety given it’s location in a small town. The selection is not nearly as extensive as some of the dreamy cheese shops in Montréal or Europe but rivals anything I’ve found in Boston except that they offer much more personal attention. Their selection is thoughtfully considered with regional as well as international representation. Whether it be soft, hard, cow, goat, or sheep, you’ll find something to please your palate. There were a lot of cheeses with different flavourings and herbal additives (chives, dill, etc) or rubs, which I didn’t try. I like my cheeses more pure. Their prices are not unreasonable with some imported cheeses around $ 20 per pound but a $ 8 wedge will go a long way.
Fiore Di Nonno fig burrata — It’s a mozzarella pouch filled with Italian mascarpone, Greek yogurt, and fig jam. Absolutely delightful and a must try!
P’tit Basque — I love sheep milk cheeses but this one is much creamier and less dense than the average sheep milk. It was robust in flavour, has a distinctive funky odour, but tastes nutty and delicious.
Le fromage de chevre d’extraordinaire — I think that’s what it was called. It was essentially a goat brie that was so smooth, perfectly ripe, and had the delicious tang of goat’s milk.
Red Dragon — I’m not a fan of cheddar but this caught my husband’s attention. It was a little strange and perhaps may go well on sandwiches.
Creminelli Salami Tartufo — Unfortunately, I forgot to pack a real knife and the butter knife just wasn’t sharp enough to saw through this.
I will definitely come back in the future. This is a perfect place to pack a picnic basket as you head off to a weekend trip.

What a wonderful cheese shop. The people who work here are so friendly and they really know and love cheese.
We bought the most amazing cheeses.
Bruder Basil (German Cow) — Really smoky and soft. It’s going to make for great grilled cheese sandwiches.
Double Gloucester w/​Chive & Onion (English Cow) — Holy «cow», this is amazing. Think Velveeta with chives in it. Can’t wait to make burgers with it!
Hopscotch Cheddar (California Cow) — They soak their curds in scottish ale, and this cheese seriously tastes like beer. So, so, so good.
Geit-​in-​Stad — (Netherlands Goat) A light flavored goat cheese (harder, not creamy like regular consumer goat cheese). A lot like provolone. The guy recommended just munching on it.
They also have all kinds of honey and charcuterie to go with your cheeses.
Definitely recommend stopping in, even if you’re not in the area!

Love the cheese, love the owners and love the cute shop. Each time I go in there, I make new friends, and always leave with a smile on my face and an armload of cheesy goodness.

I am convinced that my mother and I singularly keep the Milk & Honey Bazaar in business. We simply cannot get enough of their delicious cheeses, cute location (in the Four Corners of Tiverton, RI), and knowledgeable owners.
If you have never been to Four Corners before, I suggest you do so. I love coming here in the summer when I can walk through the different galleries and enjoy its’ small-​town-​America vibe. The views of the surrounding area are gorgeous; what could be better than sprawling farm lands gently sloping downhill to beautiful ocean views? Thought so. (

As for the shop itself… where do I begin? It is located in what appears to be a remodeled barn/​garage. There are other goods peppered throughout the small store such as artisanal crackers (try the fennel or the rosemary), honey, truffle oils, and other scrumptious finds. There are so many cheeses in the huge, glass-​front fridge behind the counter, but my favorite is the Double Gloucester with Chives. The different cheeses are listed on several chalk boards and they are broken into categories based on the animal from which the milk is derived (goat’s milk cheeses, sheep’s milk cheeses, etc). Several others that I have enjoyed are the Bruder Basil (smoky yet mild; if you like smoked gouda, try this); Dill Havarti; Fromage d’Affinois au Poivre (double cream with five types of pepper serving as the rind, a slight nutmeg flavor); Lambchopper (mild white sheep’s milk cheese with a killer name); Quebec Vintage Cheddar (intense and aged 5 years); and Red Dragon (cheddar with a mustard-​y, ale-​y twist).

You are able to try the cheese before you buy, or if you simply want to taste test (do not go in expecting to try 10 different cheeses and not make a purchase). Once you have made a selection, you signify the amount of cheese you want out of the wheel. If you are new to buying high-​end cheeses and used to grocery store goods, the prices here might scare you. However, I do not think it unreasonable for a delicious (large) wedge of cheese to cost $ 20.
You will not regret it. Your taste-​buds will not regret it. Once you run out you will dream of this place until you get your hands on some more lacto-​bliss. Visit the Milk & Honey Bazaar.

In the midst of our tour of wineries along the Coastal Wine Trail, we were faced with an unfortunate dilemma. You see, we had purchased a delicious selection of wines. Some would be cellared or gifted, but a number of bottles would meet an untimely demise before the morning. As our car traversed the windy roads of coastal RI, bottles rattled in the back seat, though now I am convinced that they were in fact shivering in fear of their inevitable fate. We turned up the radio, and quietly discussed which wines we would uncork that evening. After reaching a consensus, herein lies the real dilemma — but what would we pair with these wines?
Cheese, crackers, and charcuterie, of course! If you are visiting the coastal vineyards of RI and MA, you owe it to yourself to visit the Milk & Honey Bazaar, located in the Four Corners area of Tiverton, RI. There, you’ll find dozens of varieties of artisinal cheeses, imported from the far corners of the globe. The Milk & Honey Bazaar is a full-​service cheese shop that sells everything you’ll require to enjoy your purchase, such as cheese knives and boards, crackers, and various jams and chutneys. In addition to the wide selection of fermented fodder, they stock artisinal sausages and pates, which stare at you weepingly through glass refrigerator doors, like pound puppies awaiting adoption.
We caved (no pun intended), and took home a sausison sec, a rustic pâté, a wedge of Midnight Moon goat Gouda, a thick slice of Ementaller, and a petite wedge of Garroxta. If it’s available, I would also recommend the Oka, which is a young, unpasteurized cow’s milk cheese from outside of Montréal. The owners of the Milk & Honey Bazaar are extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and they’re always willing to let you sample their selection of cheeses. If you need to prepare a cheese platter for a party, or if you simply wish to purchase a tasty snack for yourself, I urge you to pay a visit to the Milk & Honey Bazaar in Tiverton Four Corners.
