History

Established in 1949.

Founder Al Peake III. was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. In 1948 Al started a produce company specializing in quality, product handling, and delivery to local restaurants and residential neighborhoods in Toledo area.

Al built his business through always getting the job done for his customers,“no or can’t «were two terms not practiced by Al Peake III.

He was a true owner operated business a «one man show» considering the help he would receive from his three young sons Al IV, Angelo, and Daryl. As time went on Al’s three sons went their separate ways in life.

In 1975 Al suddenly passed away in the peace of his home. The day Al passed away his wife Philomae and two sons Al IV and Angelo were present. Al Peake IV whom was a full-​time teacher and coach at the time knew his father’s dedication to his business and customers was a main priority so that day Al accepted the responsibility to ensure the family business.

Al Peake IV, coached his company with a protocol that every customer is to be considered equal in importance and unique service be achieved. Al personally taught his son Phil the basic traditions of viewing each customer as a partner. We measure success by achieving customer goals and daily needs. Al Peake & Sons upholds a simple philosophy dating back to our Grand-​Father Al Peake III. In wanting to insure our business and families future we must strive daily, to recognize and meet the goals of each customer.
