We had a great time at Bateaux Cellars tasting room. It is a little off the beaten path, but perfect for a day trip from Olympia, Vancouver or Longview. We also have friends from Seattle and Portland that have gone there as a half-​way stop to enjoy some beautiful PNW scenery and great wines.
The staff/​owners are friendly and know their wines. A few of the reds took my wife and me back to a visit to France. The whites and rose were refreshing and a little too easy to drink…
Even though it feels a bit in the middle of nowhere, my wife reminded me — it is closer than Yakima or Napa. She’s right — we’ll be back again.

This friends and family owned winery is amazing! Beautiful location, building, and scenery to enjoy the fantastic selection of wines.
I always make sure to have a supply of Bateaux at home!
