History

Established in 2011.

I have been in the Auto business for 16 years now. In 2007 I decided to leave the Dealer life and went to work for Credit Acceptance. While with Credit Acceptance I learned that selling cars is more about how you treat people than the price of the Cars you sell. After 1 year with Credit Acceptance I took a partnership role in a local Car Dealer and ran one of their Stores. I stayed in this role for a short time realizing that things needed to be done differently in this area. I opened another Store with a different Dealer. After 1 year in business with them I decided it was time to move out on my own. I sold my 1967 Chevy Chevelle and cashed in my 401k from Credit Acceptance. I went on the search for the right location. After a short time looking I found 1416 E. Manhattan Blvd. in Toledo, Ohio for my new home. The owner was great at working with me so I was able to afford the startup process. It didn’t take long for the Residents in the 43 608 zip code to respond to us. Best move ever.

My name is Larry R. I also go by Charlie to close family and friends. I started CJ’s Auto Store LTD. in Jan of 2011. I hit the ground running since I had almost 14 years experience in the Auto industry from Sales to Finance. I worked as a Market Manger for Credit Acceptance, giving me a very good inside look at all the Independent Car Dealers in the City of Toledo and surround area. A short time after leaving Credit Acceptance, I sold my Classic Car and started CJ’s Auto Store LTD. I have been in business now for 3 Years and 8 Months. Over this time I have grown and met a lot of people that I have had the pleasure of earning their business. I believe (I know) we have the best Customers out there and we work very hard to give them the best Car buying experience possible.
