My friends and I just declared this the most unfriendly gas station we’ve ever stopped at. They have a «Wall of Shame» which I find hilarious. As a person whose family owns a similar small store, there’s nothing more I’d love to do myself but shortly after I entered, I felt like uncomfortable even having done nothing wrong. I first wanted Subway so I walked over to that side of the store. I waited several minutes before somebody came to help and when I did, she wasn’t the friendliest but whatever(it’s a subway, not a five star restaurant so who cares). But after I order my sub, I asked for the chips and a fountain drink as well. The lady makes a receipt for me and tells me to pay up front so I grab a bag of chips, stuff them into my clear subway sleeve for easy carrying, and walk up to the counter. The lady at the counter asks for my receipt, looks it over, and I reply, «I got chips and a drink too.» Really mean suddenly, she shows me the receipt and says, «well that’s not on here!» I didn’t know what to say. Sorry your coworker can’t use a register? I don’t know. I know she heard me clearly because she asked fountain pop or bottled. Either way, the last at the register yanks my chips out of my bag, scans them, and takes my money. Feeling slightly uncomfortable, I took my sub from the other lady once it was done and got my fountain pop. I noticed the lever was so dirty, it stuck when I pressed it and spilled some pop. I even started to mention it and opened my mouth to the lady at the counter but she made me feel so awkward, I just left. Upon getting back to my friend’s car, he told me that they probably deal with a lot but I still didn’t see any reason to be so rude to me for not doing anything. At first, I thought the wall of shame was hilarious but now I’m wondering if my picture will be posted next to something that says, «small white girl wanted for trying to steal bag of chips and spilled pop.»

Very clean and well managed convenience store. They also have a Subway and gas station, on site.
