Mr Gyro

This was my first time ordering from Mr Gyro’s and More. I have been getting flyers and coupons for the last few weeks and they have quite a varied menu (like the local Oasis chain). I love a good gyro now and then and decided to order an original (lamb) gyro and a medium order of fries. I placed my order around 5 PM on Sunday, 4÷3÷16 and it arrived just over an hour later.
As for the gyro… it was quite delicious. I would have liked it a bit hotter, but apparently they add the tzatziki to the sandwich when they prepare it and between the sauce and the cold veggies, it cooled it down. The sauce was excellent and the meat and veggies were good, too. with the exception of a large chunk of lettuce and a huge chunk of onion. I love the way they prepared it folded in such a way that one end was closed up and it made for easier eating (no drips).
The fries. well, total disappointment. Ice cold and soggy. Probably would have been good had they been hot.
I would have given more than 2 stars if the food was delivered quicker (although, I was never given an «arrival» time) and had the fries not been ice cold.
I will go back for a gyro again. and probably just pick it up so that I know it’s hot. If I need delivery, I will just order from Oasis. as they are much closer to me. However… Mr Gyros did say I was in the delivery area.
I live on Alexis Rd in Toledo between Jackman and Douglas. My Gyro is on Sylvania between Douglas and Secor. Oasis is on Laskey between Jackman and Douglas.
I will try this place again. and hopefully, I can revise my review.

I don’t know what it is with this place. Maybe it’s just this location? I’ve ordered from here 4 times so far.
The first time I physically went into the location and though the service was slow the food was actually quite good.
The other 3 times I ordered through EatStreet. The first time I ordered I got a call from EatStreet 30 minutes later saying that for whatever reason MrGryo wasn’t actually able to take my order even though it went through fine and they charged my card. I got a refund but I basically had to find somewhere else to order.
The second time I ordered and it went through fine, they arrived pretty quickly too, I want to say 25 – 30 minutes. But, they got my order wrong and forgot the additional sauces which I paid extra for.
The third time the order went through and charged my card fine but 20 minutes later I got a call from MrGyro and the girl mumbled something about her only working there a week and wanted to «confirm» my order. It seemed odd being that I ordered from EatStreet and there shouldn’t really be any confusion since they get a print out of exactly what I ordered. Anyway, the food came about 30 minutes later and was wrong yet again. They forgot my drink all together and the sandwich was wrong.
The Rueben was the worst part of the order. Instead of using regular corned beef they put little dices of corned beef on the sandwich which fall out all over the place. It was also soggy and stuck to the wax paper so the only way to eat it was with a knife and fork and try not to swallow the paper. It also had an odd taste, almost like the sauerkraut was old or something.
At the end of the day I won’t be ordering from here anymore. The sad part is the deli they had in the back of the grocery store there used to be amazing, the middle-​eastern food was incredible and they were always really nice. Why they decided to switch over to MyGryo which they can’t seem to do right is beyond me.

First time ever at Mr Gyro on Sylvania Ave. Food was excellent and staff was all very friendly. Best chicken gyro.
