History
Established in 1993.
Dr. Jeffrey Schmakel brought the Vision Improvement Program (VIP) to the Toledo area in 1993. Since this time, Dr. Schmakel has worked with over 500 children and adults. VIP is unique in that it is a 10 – 12 week intervention (compared to other programs that can last anywhere from 6 – 24 months) that entails the child or adult coming to our office 3 days per week, working one-on-one with a vision therapist for one hour long sessions. The prescribed activities and exercises are then completed at home the remaining four days of the week.
