My goal is to make your hair look great with less maintenance and to make you feel special every day. I also give a complimentary consultation to bring out your look and unique quality considering your personality and your lifestyle. My philosophy is to take the individual client and customize their own personal style. Studio Millan offers a full range of haircuts and styles for men and women.

When I first began my career I traveled the world as a professional dancer in ballet and in contemporary music. And this gave me a great exposure to the creative world of high fashion and hair design. I had the opportunity to share the stage with many great singers like Grammy award winner Shakira. I’ve always had a passion for hair and for many years I volunteered to be in charge of my dance team’s hair and makeup.

When I decided to move back to Mexico City, I was then known for my talents as a stylist. Televisa, (a Mexican multi and mass media company,) offered me a position in the Department of Image for Celebrities. In 2006 I came to the United States to follow my American dream and so far so good!

I’ve worked in various professional hair salons perfecting and exploring my craft. And I’ve built a successful reputation with so many happy clients who themselves work in the surrounding Los Angeles communities of television, film, stage and fashion.

I found Ricardo on Unilocal six months ago when I was looking to get a fresh cut before the weekend. My original barber was out of town and I needed a haircut really bad.
I looked at his reviews and decided to give him a shot. Let’s just say that I haven’t been back to my original barber since then, and not because he was doing a bad job, but Ricardo’s experience, flexibility and availability he offers his clients is priceless. Further, he’s incredibly professional and flexible and booking through his website makes scheduling and rearranging appointments so easy! It’s been about a week since I had my hair cut by Ricardo. I could not be happier with the service and how my haircut has stayed looking so sharp. When I went to Ricardo I had not had a haircut in over a month and I was due for a new style. He knew exactly what to do and I have received countless complements since. Ricardo is great! I’ve on numerous occasions made last minute appointments and he’s always accommodated my schedule or offered to make special arrangements. I’m not a picky person so I’ve always just told him to ‘Make me look good’. He’s never disappointed and I’ve gotten compliments on my haircuts. At least one of my friends has started seeing Ricardo as his barber as well because of the great cuts and personal service. He has some interesting stories too! Ricardo is simply awesome. He is friendly, creative and supremely attentive to detail. He listens to my ideas and likes and then comes up a master plan. Listen, there are lots of hair stylists in this town and I will admit I have tried many of them. But Ricardo Milan is the best and the only person I use now. His skill set is vast and he really listens and treats each client with professionalism and care finely tuned to that person’s uniqueness. Ricardo is one of the two best hair stylists that I have had over my life. Despite the fact that I have asked him to give me a more conservative cut for my recent work search, he has consistently given me a very balanced and layered cut that has consistently garnered me compliments.
