I was looking forward to trying this place and ended up here on a Friday night after work. Not much was happening. The crowd was older, the drinks and the service were mediocre, the food was decent.

Bummed I didn’t come here sooner. Great armor and excellent bartender. Will be a regular hangout for me.

The only thing nice about this place is its in the neighborhood. The bartender poured the worst drinks packed with ice. The food is so mediocre, so don’t go here for yummy delicious food. Lastly, the plating garnish makes for a sore site for eyes. Do better.

I so wanted to love this place! 5 stars for ambience and uniqueness. Two items off the bar appetizer menu… Better food from the frozen food section at the dollar store. Drink was generous and service was good. Since the food was SOOO bad — 2 stars.

Had THEBEST dinner here tonight for me and my boyfriends anniversary! Johnny was a great server always really warm and welcoming and quick to get us anything we needed. Ordered the chicken and waffle sliders which were the bomb! and then had the grilled lobster pizza that had to have been one of the best pizzas I’ve had in a long time. Would definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a cool romantic patio atmosphere with great food and drinks!

Came here late night for my 21st bday with some friends. Absolutely amazing experience. The food was phenomenal. The nachos were probably the best I’ve ever had. The bartender Burt is pretty awesome. He even brought out my dessert with a candle in it. So thoughtful of him. I will definitely be coming back soon.

Stopped in on a Monday with a friend and had a couple drinks shared the spicy tuna appetizer and pizza Bianca. Both dishes were delicious. The service was great as well. The best part is their outdoor seating out front it’s a cute garden style set up with TV’s, booths, and tables.

Best bar in Toluca. GREAT food, great service, great vibe and crowd. Monday’s are a music night. Sunday’s are great as it’s still got a great vibe even though the crowd is smaller.

I went here for a party. E-Cigs cause me to cough instantaneously and have a hard time breathing! Both the Bartenders and a few Patrons were vaping inside. Vaping is the same as using Tobacco Cigarettes in LA County — they are not to be used inside. I had to leave 20 mins after arriving since I was having a hard time breathing. Not sure if I will lodge a formal complaint with the Tobacco Control Program.

Perfect little local bar with really reallyyyy good drinks and AMAZING brussel sprouts! The entrance is in the alley. Look for the red light! Moscow Mule & Vodka Soda are what i usually get here & both are perfect every time. There’s also really great music here, so it’s a fun place to hang out.

Enter from the alley. Pass the patio that also has a red light. It’s a red door. Just open it. No one is going to approach you so go directly to the bar whether you want drinks or dinner or both. We ordered the fig/carnelized onion/arugula pizza, chicken & waffle sliders, and the Szechuan hot wings. We also got the margarita and the cinnamon martini. All of them were good. The crowd is definitely older so we felt a little out of place but it was fine. Prices were decent. No complaints.

I finally had the chance to go here last night with friends. I’ve been stalking this place on Unilocal for a couple of weeks so I was glad the opportunity presented itself. They open at 5 pm. We arrived at 5:05 pm(no sense in wasting the evening). We were the first one’s in and were greeted by Cheryl from behind the bar. She immediately made us feel welcome, took our drink order and made a few suggestions. All in all we spent about and hour and a half here and had a really good time. The staff were all friendly, the other patrons were friendly, the prices are reasonable and the ambience is perfect.

This place is pretty special. It’s pretty much a hidden bar behind an actual restaurant BUT this bar also serves up food found in the restaurant as well and BOYYYYYYYY is it TASTY! we walked in through the back door in the alley where we found the red light. You can also access the bar from the restaurant(if you know it’s there) or the back outside patio. So we get in and the place is pretty intimate, dark. With a couple of red lights throughout and candles. They have these silent black and white movies playing over the bar and music in the background. It was a Wednesday and there were people alone at the bar, a group sitting at a table, and a couple of couples. They have beer, wine, and a cocktail list! I ordered the chocolate mint martini which was sweet and smooth and I could definitely taste the alcohol :) To eat we ordered the bacon Mac and cheese with bacon(delicious), the sweet and spicy wings(yummy and falling off the bone, tasted like Chinese BBQ chicken), and finally the duck pizza!!! Wowsers. The duck, the balsamic reduction, the mozzarella, the FIGS, the crispy thin Parmesan dusted crust was all kinds of deliciousness. These place was awesome for a date and good eats!

Me gusta the Red Door. It’s a laid back bar with a sense of humor and cool bartenders. You enter through an alley, which adds some street cred to this Toluca Lake bar. Once you are in, you’re in a cool, dark, fun bar. Its not gimmicky or modern or trying to be anything other than a cool neighborhood bar. We came here on a Wednesday night and the crowd was lite, but the service was still on point and the drinks were STRONG. Old movies are playing on the tvs and cool 80’s music set the scene for a Wednesday night out. After two generously poured rounds of vodka cocktails, we hit the road, but I would definitely return and recommend this place if you find your self in the Noho/Burbank area. Def worth a peek.

So, not only is it one of the coolest/quirkiest vibes around, but the proficiency of their mixologists is highly whetted. Cheryl just may be the best & sweetest bartender in the 818!

The Red Door is all about atmosphere and ambiance. And on that score, it’s unbeatable. It’s that perfectly cool place to hang and catch up with your friends; five of us did exactly that last night, lounging on sofas in the corner, looking at the décor on the walls, sipping up drinks like there was no tomorrow, and talking, talking, talking. Whoever programs their music is genius: Marvin Gaye, totally fantastic best-of-the-best Seventies tunes that actually made me want to get up and dance(I didn’t, don’t worry.) And thank goodness, the volume is at a decent level; actual conversation is a real possibility. So rare in this day and age. The drinks are great: I had the Hibiscus Serrano Margarita with salt; very tasty. Sipping my friends’ drinks too, I can tell you they were delicious. Strong but not too strong. Everyone got home safely. The food was just okay. This would be a perfect place to hang out before a late dinner or after an early dinner. Where is it, you ask? Drive down Riverside until you find the spot where 10057 should be. The Red Door is in the alley directly behind this spot. Look for(you guessed it!) a red door in the alley. Street parking.

Came here for drinks with some friends. Hung out in the back bar and it was very chill. Nice vibe and bartenders were accommodating and friendly. I had a good time. Looks like a great place to throw a party. They have a patio where people can spill out to. Circulate, circulate…
