I am updating my last review because within hours of receiving my email, the GM contacted me about my visit. This issue has been resolved to my satisfaction. Thank you, Craig The restaurant was empty and there we a few people at the bar. I saw on the menu they had ceaser salad and also served wraps. I asked the bartender if they could make me a ceaser salad wrap. She said they only serve what is on the menu. I asked her if the wraps were premade and she said no. So then I said can’t they just make a caeser salad and put it in a wrap? She said that they would get mad at her if she asked them to do that. One of the cooks came out when he saw me discussing with my friend what else we should have and asked us if we had any questions. I thought this was very nice and surely he would know what I was asking for. This was not the case. He asked if I wanted the avocado wrap without meat. I said no I don’t want any of that just a ceaser salad in a wrap. He looked confused and said he didn’t think that was possible. I wanted to walk in the kitchen and make it myself. Instead I ordered just the salad. A few minutes later the cook put a to go box in the window. I was the only person in the place that had ordered food but the bartender was chatting with her now one guest at the bar. I eventually got up to get the salad myself and the cook asked me for my coaster. What coaster? He said the coaster she gave you. I looked around the empty restaurant and looked back at him. Then the bartender nodded to him that it was my food. I open my box to find a bunch of lettuce with a to go cup of cheese and a to go cup of dressing. This is not a restaurant it is a glorified vending machine. I was just glad they had wine.

If you’re waiting to see a movie at Santikos, then hitting up the bar/restaurant upstairs is a good way to relax and grab something to eat and drink before your movie starts. The staff has been friendly as well as helpful, even if the kitchen isn’t always speedy with your food order.

The Rough Rider Bar & Cowboy Grill is a two story restaurant with upstairs bar which is located inside the Santikos Theaters Silverado 19. Being a fan of the Alamo Drafthouse concept that allows you to drink beer and eat bar food when watching movies, this differs in a few ways. To begin with, you can drink more than beer. You can get mixed drinks, Margarita’s, etc., at the bar upstairs(which is the only half we visited). The service was nice, drinks are served in glass containers, they are not by any means over-priced, and this ability to consume alcohol(and food) with our movie(Star Trek –IMAX this time!) is most certainly going to bring us back. The other way that this differs is that the theatre does not offer food and drink tables in front of your seats, but the seats are extremely comfortable to me(compared to Alamo Draft House), so that’s a fair trade off. The service was top notch and friendly at the Cowboy Bar. When asked if I would be taking our drinks into the show, I was offered a different type of glass that would fit inside the seat cup holders. Nice attention to detail. In order to visit this bar and grill facility, you don’t have to have a ticket to a movie, and from what it looked like, there were groups of people that came just for the bar atmosphere(which has a great view of the lobby and all of the activity down on the floor(see photos))… For those in the mood for wine, they even offered a(Berringer) Pinot Noir… Amen…
