At North Spring TSO, we pride ourselves on providing the highest level of eyecare and quality eyewear with a personal touch. We strive to ensure that our patients are treated like family. We will take the time needed to ensure that you find just the right type of eyewear that fits your needs and lifestyle, whether it is a sport frame for the weekend warrior or the tastefully sophisticated look for the office.

Dr Roof also takes a special interest in the hard-​to-​fit contact lens patient, using advanced contact lenses to treat those having difficulty with normal contact lenses. Specialized lenses such as multifocal contact lenses can restore the loss of up close vision to lenses that are especially suited to the pediatric patient, and can even slow down the development of nearsightedness.

History

North Spring TSO was founded in 2015 to provide the community of Spring, Klein, Tomball, and The Woodlands with advanced eyecare with a personal touch.

Texas State Optical was established in 1936 when the Rogers family opened the first TSO office in Beaumont, Texas. Our founders planned for TSO’s continuous growth and expansion of services, but not without first building a foundation of patient care and quality products that stand the test of time. These core values have remained unchanged throughout the years. We’re proud of our history and excited about the future as we continue to help TSO patients enjoy the best vision possible. After all, we’re not Texas State Optical by chance, but by choice. We’ve grown into our name and will continue to work hard at keeping our patients satisfied and coming back with their family and friends to benefit from TSO’s long tradition of excellence in quality eye care and eyewear.

Meet the Business Owner

Dr. Bryan R.

Business Owner

Dr. Roof grew up in the Clear Lake area of Houston and is please to be able to become part of the Spring Klein community. He trained to be an optometrist at the University of Houston College of Optometry, one of the premier schools of optometry. He then practiced for several years in rural South Texas, bring his advanced training and becoming part of the community there. Relocating to be closer to family, he is pleased to be able to return to the Houston area. He and his wife Kristi have a son, Wesley, and a daughter, Ellyn.

Dr. Roof is certified to treat a wide range of eye disease and disorders, including glaucoma and macular degeneration, as well as manage ocular complications of other diseases like Diabetes. He specializes in the anterior segment of the eye, including the treatment of Dry Eye Disease and the fitting of advanced contact lenses His chair side manner is patient and thorough, and places an emphasis on education about his patient’s eye health.
