There’s an older woman that works the late shift whose face seems to be stuck in a permanent bulldog like snarl. The first time I thought she was having a bad night but now that I’ve come to this 24 hour location on more than several occasions to get a drink and have gotten the same miserable face and service from her it’s become something I quite look forward to.
If you’re me and visit the store on it’s off peak hours, this wonderful person will sometimes have her back to you and will completely ignore your presence as she either talks on her phone or changes out the coffee filters and completes other tasks that have to get done throughout a shift. She will only stop to take your order with great obligation until after she’s finished doing these things so sometimes you may have to wait up to 5 minutes until she slowly goes about her tasks and finally slumps to the counter and asks you what you want as if you’re the most annoying person in the world. Be sure to have something occupying you on your mobile phone if you decide to stick around that long.
After serving you and looking at you as if you were the one who took a shit in her coffee earlier in the day she will then finish out the transaction with a more cheerful goodbye bidding and even a smile making you question your own sanity and leave you wondering if you really are a shit heel of a customer.
