Fried Chicken House

Be careful ordering online. The first time I ordered some chicken and a side of rice, went in with the exact change that my email told me only to be told at the register it was going to be a few dollars more. As I explained that’s not what the website said the lady said «Yeah well the website is wrong». Okaaaay…
Tried it again recently for dinner with my mom. This time I used a credit card online thinking that it would secure the price (why I should even have to worry about this is beyond me, as the prices should be updated). We ordered a family combination, came with 8 pieces of chicken, potatoes and salad for around $ 15. A few minutes later we get a phone call saying that the salad is no longer offered with the combo — but the manager is going to honor it anyway. (Yaay!)
Get to the restaurant and send my mom in who had no idea how much the bill was supposed to be. She comes out and said the card wouldn’t go thru and they need the back numbers of the card. Weird — but I give it to her, she comes out with the food and the receipt charging us $ 3 more than the website. Unbelievable!!!
As for the food, the mashed potatoes were bland and the gravy tasted «canned» (according to my mom). The fried chicken is definitely delicious, though a bit salty. I’m not sure I’ll be giving this place another try as I don’t like the whole bait and switch. It’s 2015 and being a webmaster myself I know how easy it is to simply go in and change some prices.

Really good fried chicken, chicken empanadas and chicharron. And they deliver. I also liked their pinchos (both chicken and pork) as they remind me of the ones I got in Puerto Rico, just wish they were cheaper and they came ala carte.

I had an hour to kill in Toms River so I thought I would try dinner at this restaurant. I was greeted by a very nice gentleman who later I found out was the owner. I had chicken ribs and shrimp, cabbage and fries. The chicken was some of the best I’ve ever had. The grilled shrimp was awesome and the cabbage side dish was delicious. I highly recommend this family owned restaurant and will return.

Stopped here a couple of weeks ago for the first time. The food was decent… had the chicharrones which I enjoyed, and also a shrimp burrito which was also good. My daughter had the chicken fingers, which tasted fresh and good as well. The meals actually had really good fries on the side also. I’m sure I’ll be back soon for more.

My husband and I tried Fried Chicken House tonight for the first time. OMG best fried chicken we have ever had. Large pieces, great breading and and flavorful. The sides were freshly made and a great size. We have found our fried chicken place!!!

I have been looking for a good chicken and ribs place in TR forna long time and I finnaly found one. the food was great. the chicken was cooked fresh to order not stored under heat lamps for hours. the ribs fell off the bone. the fries were your basic fries and the cole slaw was fresh and better than average. Service was very friendly even for a take out order. cant wait to go back and try more of their menu.

Best Fried Chicken in Tom’s River. So flavorful & juicy! We ordered a 10 piece tub of fried chicken, an order of tostones (fried plantains-​kinda like french fries –not the sweet kind, that’s maduros they have them too) with a side of garlic butter sauce for dipping. The sauce was pretty darn good and its nice that they give you a whole cup of it in a container so there’s plenty to go around. I dipped some of my chicken breast meat in it just for kicks. Delicious!!! We will be back!

We went here the day before Father’s Day dinner. For dinner, daughter ordered the House Chicken Soup with Rice and loved it! I ordered the Arroz con Pollo. It was good but I was a little disappointed that the rice was mixed with the chicken and there was so little rice. I love my rice! :) The order was overpowered with chicken and pepper. It came with a side of salad, which was nice. Hubs ordered the 4 piece fried chicken dinner with fries and cole slaw. The fried chicken was nice and crispy. Service was friendly. Been wanting to try this place after reading the reviews. Will return when in the area.

Coming back from Atlantic City we decided that we were really hungry and wanted fried chicken. Using Unilocal we found the «Fried Chickens House» we ordered the fried chicken and ribs combo which was excellent with a very generous amount of good coleslaw, homemade of course! The French fries came out crispy and tasty, and finished it off with the three leche cake and coffee, real Colombian coffee! The whole meal was a nice surprise and the proprietor came out to find out if we enjoyed, which we absolutely did! Check out their menu it is loaded with Columbian specialties.

I went to the Fried Chickens House (yes it’s plural) for lunch. Like the name says they have fried chickens, but also many choices for Mexican food. I ordered a burrito off of the lunch special. For like $ 8 I received a huge burrito with rice, chicken, jalapeños, lettuce, tomatoes, and nacho cheese. It came with a can of soda too. The burrito was delicious. Definitely a huge improvement over the place that used to be there. My only complaint was that it took a little long to come out and I was on my lunch break. But considering the freshness and the very nice staff it wasn’t an inconvenience at all! Definitely going back!

Tried this place for buffalo chicken wings, spare ribs and fried chicken last weekend. Everything is fresh and made to order. The wIngs were great, rIbs were juicy and fall off the bone, and the fried chicken was legit. Everything comes with sides — crinkle cut fries, mash potatoes, or cole slaw. I would highly recommend for wings, ribs and fried chicken — located right next to Il Giardinello in Toms River.
