Hands On Physical Therapy was founded in 2003 by McKenzie Certified clinician, Kenneth Pavlinec, PT, Cert MDT. Ken envisioned opening a New Jersey based practice that would set the standard for providing high quality physical therapy care. Since inception, Hands On Physical Therapy has developed a reputation in the local and national community. Referrals from local doctors to Major League Baseball teams including the Detroit Tigers and the Cincinnati Reds are the norm. Through the years Hands On Physical Therapy has added occupational therapy, a TMJ specialist, pediatric specialist, aquatic therapy, 1 on 1 personal training, weight management & nutrition specialist, and transportation.

We specialize in all age groups from pediatrics to geriatrics, sports injuries, orthopedic rehabilitation, total joint replacements, auto injuries, work related injuries, repetitive strains and sprains, pre-surgical care, post-surgical care, headaches, neck pain, back/sciatica pain, TMJ, arthritic conditions, work hardening, pain management, hand therapy, peripheral neuropathy, early intervention, sensory integration, facial paralysis, and neurological disorders.

History

Established in 2003.

Ken Pavlinec, PT, Cert MDT founded Hands-On Physical Therapy in 2003 and today remains the sole financial owner.

Ken envisioned the opening of a New Jersey based practice that would set the standard for providing high quality physical therapy care.

Hands-On Physical Therapy added FREE pre-operative education classes for total knee and hip replacements in 2005. This class was offered to the community because of documented research. The study stated that better outcomes are obtained if the patient knows all aspects of their rehab prior to their surgery. This class is rehab based and not what a typical hospital provides. We care that you achieve your maximum potential and it’s FREE. Call to schedule this class about 3 – 4 weeks prior to surgery.

Hands-On Physical Therapy does not look to grow quickly, like corporate chains do, which results in inferior inexperienced care with high employee turnover. We look forward to grow with our clients and add quality equipment, space, and locations
