It’s more California fresh tacos rather than what I consider Mexican. But it’s still pretty amazing. Lots of parking. Went right in and ordered my garlic shrimp burrito. You get a number and sit right down where they bring you your food. They also have one of those freestyle soda machines(yes!). Got myself some of my favorite cherry vanilla coke zero! The burrito finally came out, perfect size and very refreshing, delicious, fresh shrimp, and great garlic flavor. I was definitely a fan of the burrito. The chips that came with them? Meh. Could’ve done without them. No salt. No flavor. Just there. Then came dessert. Went back up and ordered the Fried Banana with Ice Cream drizzled with caramel and chocolate. This took a WHILE to make so be prepared that it’ll take some time. But really good. Prices are also quite decent here. Would definitely return if I am ever in the area!

This past week the food critics of toms river north visited the crew over at surf taco of silverton. The critics devoured the waffle fries and were the overwhelmingly favorite thing we had. I ordered the maverick burrito which was decent but does not compare to bubbakoos or chipotles burritos. The rest of the critics claimed that their tacos were the best around and much better than those of Taco Bell or any other joint in town. Finally the buffalo soldier is highly recommended to those who plan on going to surf taco. We would like to thank them for the 10% off our meals, free drinks and sides!

I am not a fan of tacos but this place made me fall in love with their food and customer service! Very well made and delicious. Your food is served to you quickly and the environment is amazing. Definitely will go back :)

What happened? Haven’t been to Surf Taco for a while. Recent trip for a Mahi taco was extremely disappointing. There was a small piece of Mahi and one small slice of avocado. Excessive amount of cabbage to keep the customer happy? Come on. A real disappointment for a great place to grab some good, fresh food. If this the future of ST, no thanks.

Huge fan of surf taco. Though not a fan of the area this Surf Taco is in(soooo muchhh traffic) its just as good as any of the others. it loses a point because the last times I have been there in February and in April it has been freezing. So just bring a coat or sweater. Otherwise — yum!

I have been going in to surf taco for about 4+ years. My family and I enjoy stoping here for a quick bite of good food. My daughter love it here, she’s 8. They have a fish tank and some books for the kids to read while you wait, but I can honestly say we have never waited more than 10 min for food and it’s always good.

Really good taco place! I got the surf taco and it was really tasty. The only problem was that it had a little too much slaw on too which took away from the flavor a bit. The chips that came with it were pretty ordinary but the sauce options for them were pretty great. If you’re local and don’t know about this place or simply passing through looking for a place to get a quick and cheap bite, I’d recommend this place.

NOT Mexican. Just because it says tacos and burritos don’t think Mexican, think California. Fish tacos, shrimp burritos, veggie quesadillas, etc. The salsa bar is very good, offering multiple options ranging from the tame to the almost fiery. The staff looks like they are cutting class and just happened to end up serving food to keep from having to go home. But guess what? They aren’t the annoying teenagers that seem to be employed at other inexpensive places. They know the menu, they are attentive, and they hustle. The food is of high quality, is always seasoned well, and served hot. The serving size is large but not huge, the price is right, and it’s always a great alternative to the big chains. Is this great food? No. Is it very cheap? No. Should the staff be working in a fine dining establishment? No. Will you like it enough to go back, especially after you see the price tag? Absolutely Yes!

I love surf taco! My favorite is the quesadilla with mushroom and onions. It’s not usually on the menu but they will make it. Their burritos and tacos are also very good. I love the salsa bar and the salsas always have a great flavor to them. The staff is always very friendly and bubbly and the atmosphere is very laid back. The food always comes out quick and hot. Granted their prices are a bit on the higher end but in my opinion it’s worth it.

Great food. Fresh and accommodating with food allergies. Love the new Baha Bowl with the fish. Favorites include Subset Wrap and Buffalo Soldier.

Just OK. In general their food is pretty plain. I like the atmosphere but you’re not going to get the authentic stuff here. A huge upgrade from taco bell though. Service is fast if you’re looking for a quick meal. I like the tacos the best. I’ve been disappointed multiple times by a few burritos(chicken, shrimp, and steak) that were cold on the inside near the bottom where the meat was very cold. This makes me wonder if the meats are precooked and frozen.

Yummy! Affordable and delicious fare. My favorite part about this place and I say this a lot about restaurants in the area… it doesn’t try to be something that it cannot be. For what it is it can’t be beat. I’ll take this over 10th ave burrito, which is more expensive and not as good, any day of the week.

Got the basic taco combo. Picked it up and it fell apart. Meat looked boiled and was tasteless. Wound up going across the street to the diner. Horrible. Never again. Leaving one star cause I can’t leave none.

Been here over 50 times and have never had a bad meal. Food is fresh. Most importantly, PRODUCE is fresh. Prices are average. Chips and salsa are fab! Veggie Bowl with pineapple is my go-to meal! Must eat here!

I go to college in New York and when I come home I always stop here. The price point is unbeatable for the quality. I have seen a lot of prices vs. quality in my time in the city but here’s the thing– Surf Taco literally beats them all. It’s cheap, delicious, and healthy. On top of that, it’s fresh. You can see and taste the flavors of your food. When I go here me and the bae grab the Tsunami to split, but if I’m alone I’ll get the Aloha wrap or the garlic shrimp taco. I grab the smoothies when I have extra cash to spend. Sometimes the food is the teeniest bit soggy but I don’t complain because I love having more of the sauces. Once again, what you get for your money here is great. Can never complain!

As we all know, for relatively fast food they are pretty expensive. Definitely better than fins though, with more of a cali mex feel. They do have really fresh food and a great salsa bar. My favorite is the buffalo soldier burrito. I also really like the Hawaiian and taco salads. Their wraps are also pretty good too. The nachos and cheese fries are the best! As well as the smoothies. Ironically, I am not really a fan of the tacos at surf taco. They should offer more specials!

My friends keep recommending to this place… I went there and order at least 4 different things just to try and they were all just okay. Fish Taco: soggy, and no flavor seven layer dip: it was actually not bad and it was too much and i wish they offer a smaller portion so that people can eat and finish the other food. Chicken enchilada: no sauce, it was all cheese and not much chicken and not much flavor. Salsa bar: it was just okay.

Best tacos and burritos around. You get a lot of food for your money, plus free drink refills. The place(s) are always clean & the service is always friendly and prompt. Usually some Reggae playing, and sometimes you’ll even hear some Bob. The atmosphere is real casual, which is what you want while eating good tacos. They have a large choice menu, so there’s really something for everyone, from fish to meats/poultry to veggies. It’s a good time out, whether for lunch, dinner, just a snack, or even a date. They also have a kids menu, so don’t worry about the little ones, bring ‘em with you.
