We will perform a 30 Point Courtesy check to let you know what is going on with your vehicle so you will know what needs to be serviced. We will be glad to help you set up a list starting with safety and reliablility concerns all the way through repairs that are cosmetic. History

Established in 1969.

Cowan Automotive started out as just Muffler Depot in 1969 specializing strictly in automotive exhaust repairs. Even into the early 1980’s we still only had a handful of mufflers and some bundles of exhaust tubing in stock. As the industry grew and more repairs became necessary. We went through many changes ourselves. From Muffler Depot, to Cowan Muffler. Then as we expanded into more levels of automotive repair we became Cowan Muffler and Brake. Eventually we combined all of our automotive services into one whole title as Cowan Automotive. The current owner, Hank Tetuan, has been a part of that since 1974. Starting at Muffler Depot fresh out of high school. He took over as owner in 1985.

Hank has been the owner of Cowan Automotive for 31 years and been employed here for 42 years! It has been his one and only job straight out of high school. Serving the Topeka community for over four decades.
