Manning Music features the largest selection of pro and intermediate band and orchestral instruments in northeast Kansas, with a staff focused on making your experience the best possible. We have served the Topeka-​area music community for more than 25 years with affordable beginning band and string rentals, lessons and experienced repair technicians.

History

Established in 1986.

Since gaining the Manning name in 1986, Manning Music — Topeka’s oldest continously operated band and orchestral store — has founded itself on supporting and growing music education. Manning Music works directly with school districts throughout northeast Kansas. Our lesson studios feature more than 25 private teachers as well as a home school band program.

Manning music has helped my children in ways no other Music Store in Topeka could. They have allowed me rent to own for violins and drums for my kids. They have instructed us on getting scholarships for free lessons and have treated us with kindness and respect. They have the highest quality of instruments and the best customer service I have ever experienced. They donate to local schools when kids cannot afford instruments or trips to play outside the state. I am impressed with the store and their professionalism.

The people at Manning Music have always been friendly and helpful. When my daughter needed a bass clarinet, they found me a good used one, fixed it up and plays good as new. Saved me a ton on having to buy a new one.

I have nothing but good things to say about Manning Music. I have been bringing my son to Manning for music lessons since he was 6 years old. He purchased his first guitar at Manning’s former location on Gage and has found an absolute passion for music through the lessons and support of the Mannning Music staff. He has also taken up cello now and is doing wonderfully! This is a great place to bring your children to help them find their love of music in the Topeka community!
