Adoumie Riad, MD FRCS FACS

Doctor Adoumie is a vascular surgeon & he is VERY, VERY GOOD! He definitely knows HIS STUFF & is EXTREMELY INFORMATIVE to the point you walk out wishing he had kept some information to himself. I understand that he wants you to KNOW what is going on, what can go wrong & everything in between.
So why ONLY 3 stars? Ok his time management skills need some attention. It’s RIDIC! I ALREADY DON’T like waiting but when I have to come here with the mom-​in-​ator I should probably bring a snack or lunch!
First Appt — Get info & set up ultrasound
He was about 30 mins late. They have you arrive 15 mins EARLY for your apt & then your apt time comes and goes and your STILL waiting. They call your name & you go into the little room with no window to jump out of & you wait some more!
Second Appt — Ulta Sound results
We get a call THE DAY OF stating he had an emergency and can we reschedule… uumm no! I wasn’t being difficult I just KNOW for a fact if doctors have an emergency the medical group has another doctor take those patients or they call in a replacement like a sub for the remainder of the day. We show up and WHO IS THERE? Ohhhh it’s Dr Adumie on the phone making VACAY arrangements while we he has 3 patients WAITING for him. One person had been there an hour when we arrived. There was NO WAY IN H*LL I was going to be SITTING & WAITING like my time is NOT worth anything. So I go up & ask, is Dr Adumie running behind and the little WITCH behind the desk says no. CLEARLY LYING! So I ask then why has the other gentleman been waiting an hour for an appt? Crickets cuz I caught her azz in a lie! So I informed her I would NOT but waiting more then 15 mins AFTER my appt! Tick, tick, tick at 14 mins after they call us in ONLY to AGAIN put us in a room with NO CLOCK (THANK GAWD for mobiles which display the time) and no WINDOWS to jump out of when you loose your mind for waiting so long. Tick, tick, tick we are chatting & I look at my mobile & its been now 30 mins since they called us in the room. I can hear his AZZ on the phone making airline arrangements. REALLY! We get up & walk out! He calls with results later & is all apologizes!
Thrid Appt — Surgery
After all clothes have been removed & they have hooked the mom-​in-​ator up to an IV we wait, & wait, & wait, and wait, did I say WAIT for him to show up! HE WAS NOT EVEN THERE! WTH! Finally he shows up does the surgery & we get to leave! Since he was late the mom-​in-​ator misses her dialysis time & its pushed back until later in the day so getting home is a NIGHTMARE cause now there is traffic & my dogs are almost coyote snack because they are outside in the dark! Thanks a bunch Dr Adumie what would we do with out you?
Forth Appt — Ultrasound
NO WAIT but we didn’t have to see him.
Fifth Appt — Get second ultrasound results
He’s late yet AGAIN! Appt is at 2:30, we arrive 15 mins before like asked to do, but we don’t see him until 3:20pm. He forks over the information & I don’t even make eye contact because I’m pissed & I know I will certainly go off on him! At this point my finger is itching to write a review.
Sixth Appt — 2^nd surgery appt
Someone from the office calls 45 mins BEFORE we are supposed to show up for the surgery & says. Oh he had an emergency we will need to reschedule. WHAT! Are you FIRCKIN kidding me! NO MORE. This was the straw that broke the camels back! I guess when you have someone jumping up & down on the camels back along with the hay it was bound to snap along with my patience! I call & ask for a DIFFERENT DOCTOR because apparently Dr «Prema-​Donna» Adumie is FAR TOO BUSY & important to keep or make & an appt! I get a call a few hours later & he is all «I’m Sorry’s», «I respect your mother», «I had no control or choice», blah, bolah, blah! Uh huh, sure, ok, I understand, thanks for calling… I COULDN’T give LESS than a D*MN! All I wanted to do was to be polite & get off the phone with him.
We changed doctors & so far so good! He is able to SHOW UP on time & do what he needs to do so we can be on our way! Yes I appreciate doctors because they sometimes know & can do things we cant to make us feel better BUT the COCKY, ARROGANT, CONCEITED, EGOTISTICAL, NARCISSISTIC I’m a doctor attitude so you can wait because your time is not worth anything MUST GO! Do you THINK I WANT to be at the DOCTORS OFFICE & not doing the things I have to do! I DO HAVE A LIFE TOO & MY TIME IS WORTH SOMETHING!
Making a patient wait upwards of 30 plus minutes AFTER there appt is RIDIC & RUDE! You want patients to show up on time but you’ll CANCEL the patients appt if they are 2 mins late but then you (THE DOCTOR) turn around & make us wait 30 plus mins for His Royal Highness to FRICKIN show up! Doctors are NO MORE IMPORTANT than the patients. You ONLY have a Job because I’m paying you. You put your pants on one leg at a time just like the rest of us. If you don’t brush your teeth your breath is funky just like the rest of us!

I am an eighty-​one year old retired teacher and I have had occasion over the years to see quite a few doctors. I regret having to get this old before finding Dr. Adoumie. He is very courteous, listens to my comments and asks pertinent questions. He said several times, «Take your time; you don’t need to hurry.» He explained what medical problems my symptoms indicated, various ways the problems could treated, and what side effects could result. When I left his office I understood every aspect of my situation and what my medical circumstances required of me. For the first time in a matter of years I had confidence that I was in good, concerned and caring hands.
