Primarily responsible for operating and managing an Apple Specialist retail Dealership, and its Service Department, which includes, troubleshooting and repairing complete line of Apple hardware, including parts replacement, and data retrieval.

Remote and on-​site management of client Servers and workstations including, but not limited to, setting up DNS, Open Directory, VPN, VNC, Apple Remote Desktop, Mail and Print Server. Installing and maintaining wired/​wireless networks, data security and RAID/​XSAN backups.

Responsible for hiring and training of Sales and Technical staff for new product launch and certifications. Duties also include procurement of specialized products and maintaining vendor liaisons, marketing and advertizing. Responsible for delegation of responsibilities and authorities among staff. Also responsible for holding scheduled meetings to setting up goals and performance review of personnel.

I took in my MacBook Pro and had an overall pleasant experience with everybody here.
I dropped it off on Monday and they told me they would run some diagnostic tests on my laptop to see what the issue was. They called me back the next day and explained to me what the problem was (in my case it was an issue with the battery). They ordered a new battery for me and had it ready early on Wednesday for me to pick up.
They never tried to upsell me and even replaced 2 of my missing feet on the bottom of my laptop free of charge. And on top of all of that, they didn’t charge me with a labor free.
They were very accommodating to me, someone who is tech-​challenged and I will most definitely be coming back here with any of my Apple needs.

I made the mistake and accidentally fell for a computer scam and was worried about the security of my laptop. After fiddling around, I ended up messing my mac airbook up and needed a reboot.
I brought my computer here since I found them on Unilocal.I figured the Apple store would take longer and be more expensive. I called and explained the situation over the phone and was urged to bring it the computer for a diagnostic. They didn’t guarantee the data would be saved but they told me to try and back it up before I came into the store. Unfortunately, my computer was messed up so couldn’t back it up and lost all the photos on my desktop and some other data.
The diagnostic was $ 75 but they were able to get it back to an operating standpoint so at least I didn’t have to buy a brand new computer.
It took about 2 days for them to fix and they called promptly when it was ready for pick up.

I got my iPad 2 fixed there and they put silicone around the edges and made it hard to repair again. Also on top of that they didn’t blow out the inner screen and left dust particles inside in between the screen and the outer glass. Very stupid and they don’t care.

Fantastic Folks! My MacBook crashed Friday. The Apple Store would not make an apt till the week after. I go to Advanced. Drop my MacBook off. Suhail calls me in 2 hours. Knows the issue. Orders the part. Weekend passes. Monday morning he calls me with the MacBook having been fixed! Amazing! This is my new GO TO place for all things Apple!
I would still be waiting on my apt at the Apple Store in MB.

I brought my computer into the mac store in Manhattan Village because I had spilled tea on it and it wasn’t turning on. They told me it was damaged and that I needed to either pay 800 dollars to get it fixed, or bring it to Micro Systems where the guy said it could be a lot cheaper to get the repairs. I brought it in and both the clerks were super nice, greeted me when I came in, and seemed very professional. I dropped off my computer telling them what happened. They told me they would call me back with a quote and that I would have to pay $ 75 whether or not I wanted to accept the additional repair costs. That was okay with me, seeing that the alternative was 800 or getting a new computer.
They called me back and told me that the computer was just in sleep mode and that it worked fine (I felt pretty stupid, but considering the accident I had with my computer, I thought it was broken). They also told me that I didn’t even have to pay the 75 bucks! After hearing from Apple that my computer was damaged and that it would cost me 800 dollars and then getting this service for free was awesome!!! Granted, there was no service to be done, but still. They were really kind and could have charged me the 75 but didn’t.
I had an equally negative experience in Manhattan Village and despite the additional 10 mins that it takes to get to Torrance, I would definitely consider forgoing Manhattan Village altogether. Odd that someone said they were rude here… they seemed very professional and the guy who called me back was super friendly. Also, someone mentioned it not being as «clean» as it could be. It was super clean and new inside (kind of Best Buy style). The exterior is kind of dilapidated, but that doesn’t matter much. I will definitely be coming back here.

On Monday Jul 27th I took my MBP into AMS to diagnose a screen locking issue. Tests revealed a failing logic board (motherboard) that was under a silent Apple replacement program. They told me it was covered by Apple but they had to order the part. So I had them order a new top case (unibody, keyboard and touchpad) to install at the same time. The rep told me it would take time to get the parts in but since I am leaving on a trip next week they told me they would make sure to have it ready in time. Today July 29th I got a call at noon time to come pick up my computer.
How they can diagnose, order, receive, and install all the parts in less than two full days is amazing. The total charge was only $ 319 for an almost completely new computer including labor.
Excellent work and a good experience.

I just had a nice experience at Advanced Micro Systems in Torrance, CA.
Recommended by Apple as a certified repair center, I gave them a shot. They quickly discovered the problem and replaced the faulty video card in just 1 day. Everyone was friendly and explained the issues thoroughly. I felt the pricing was fair for the amount of work I had done.
I’d use them again for sure.

OVERPRICED and RUDE. I would highly recommend not coming here. I went in to find out how much a new battery would cost for my macbook pro because mine is no longer holding a charge. The guy ran a scan to find out if anything was wrong with my battery and found nothing to be wrong but said I should get a new battery anyway. He said he would only charge the price of the battery and that it would be $ 200… $ 200? The price of a new battery is 99 $. So I said no thanks. He then copped a bit of an attitude since I knew how much a battery really costs.
My boyfriend also brought in his old macbook to ask how much it would cost to retrieve the data off of the hard drive since the computer has been out of commission. Keep in mind, two months prior he took it to the mac mall who said they could definitely get it up and running again and retrieve the data for $ 135. The people at this overpriced establishment wanted $ 300 and said it will never work again, without even looking at it. When we proceeded to tell them how much mac mall offered, he screamed across the counter saying «NO it’s not a $ 135 job anywhere and it will never work again!»
You can’t force your customers to pay your rent by overcharging them on simple repairs and being rude. SORRY. Just going to replace my battery myself. I’d buy a brand new macbook at best buy before coming here.

Very pleased with the service I had here and the staff were amazing.
My Mac stopped working and I went on Facebook to ask for recommendations. Everyone insisted that the Apple Store was the only place to go though a few said they knew of this place and hadn’t gone and a few recommended a small business on Artesia.
After Unilocaling this business I was concerned by some of the one star reviews and yet I didn’t want to go to the Apple Store two weeks before Christmas. I hate that place and waiting plus they no longer do online reservations. Luckily a co-​worker told me she used Advanced Micro Systems and loved them. I decided to take a gamble and glad I did.
Brought my computer in after work around 6:00 on a Tuesday night. No wait and Muhammad and another lady started talking to me right away. Very nice and professional — told me someone would call me within 3 – 5 days but probably sooner. $ 75 charge but would be taken off if I had service performed there. In addition he showed me that I was missing a screw and the bottom black pads and they would fix those for me as well.
The very next day (Weds morning) Soheil called and explained all the details. Unfortunately, my motherboard was gone… and for them to fix it would be $ 660 but they are an authorized Apple store and could send it to Apple for a $ 329 replacement which would include replacing anything else, (hard drive, etc that was bad) he then told me he could back up my hard drive for $ 75 but after I asked some questions, I decided to gamble there too… since my pictures were already saved and that the back up wouldn’t necessarily save all my applications. Soheil never pushed me to back it up and actually agreed with my reasonings. Very NICE person and very professional. Again quoted me 3 – 5 days for it to be ready.
ON FRIDAY — two days later, the call came in that my computer was ready — came back clean, tightened up, all missing pieces replaced and of course a new Motherboard and all within 3 DAYS!!! Went to pick it up — no waiting like the Apple Store and each time spent no more than 10 minutes in the store. Wasn’t sure if I would still have to pay $ 75 fee since they sent to Apple but turns out it was the flat $ 329 nothing extra and no additional $ 75 fee to diagnose. Again, the staff was super nice and friendly and I seriously cannot understand the 1 stars here because based on my experience… I would not only recommend it (and I did on my Facebook group page) but also will continue to use them.

Advanced Micro Systems was pretty excellent. Contrary to some of the other Unilocal reviews, they were true to their timing and pricing.
I had my MacBook Pro (early 2011) repaired here and its running good as new! When I dropped my computer off, the tech was out sick, but they called the next day and diagnosed the issue and asked for my consent before going any further. At that point I was promised 3 – 5 business days until I can pick it up — and they delivered! They called me on a Friday and my mac was ready for pick up by Tuesday! This was such a relief for me since its finals week. Overall their work was minimal — they had to send it out to apple to replace the actual logicboard.
My advice: research the issue before turning it in, I’m glad I went through AMS because judging from the apple discussion boards this repair would have cost me $ 600+ instead of the $ 369.99 (including labor & parts). And believe me when I say I tried everything before bringing it in, but I’m definitely glad I did.

I took my computer to the Geek Squad at Best Buy and after 2 days they still couldn’t figure anything out regarding my mouse issue. I took it to advanced micro systems, inc. and they got it right away. I needed a new battery and that was it. My computer is working great now. The staff was friendly, helpful, but most of all KNOWLEDGEABLE! Would recommend them!

I recently had my iMac serviced here (6 years old) — Originally I took it to Apple and they recommended a certified apple repair center.
The iMac would not boot up due to a disk drive that was on the verge of failing. Micro Systems was able to extract the data, install a new disk drive and fan, and re-​load my iMac back to «almost» original state. I was very pleased with the service and will go back if I have other apple hardware problems.
The only reason I did not give a full 5 stars is the amount of time it took and the lack of follow up. I was fortunate to have a backup and another computer to use as it took about a week to get my computer returned. Also, I needed to initiate the calls to find out the status of the work. Other than that I am very happy with the service I received here (and everyone is very friendly and helpful).

I don’t think I’ve ever given one star on Unilocal but as it goes people are more apt to tell others when they are dissatisfied.
I went in today because my apple time capsule is failing and they quoted me $ 300 before really understanding the issue. I asked for more details and the technician mumbled something about a secret recipe and told me everyone has their methods. Seemed like a rip off to me so I will be taking my business elsewhere.

I would like to give no stars but its not possible. I have been here three times for service to an iPod but will definitely NEVER go back. I’m always promised it back in 2 – 5 days and it ends up being 10 – 14 days! This last time I went I was told it was ready and when I went to pick it up it was NOT! I had to drive back again another day to get it. Take it from me… DON’T GO THERE!!!

I went here looking for a keyboard case for an iPad and found only 2 different kinds. One was $ 95 and the other $ 115. I went to Mac Mall down the street and bought the one they were selling for $ 95 for $ 49.99. Not only that, but they had a much better selection.
