Think they are out of business… Closed on the 2⁄13?! A day before Valentine’s Day???

Came here planning to buy cupcakes. Drove a long way because I had done some business with baby cakes in the past. The posted hours on their website and on Unilocal ate till 7pm on Saturday. Arrived at 620 and the place is dark. I called during the day leading up to 6 and no one answered. Not uncommon. My wife has left messages prior a while back and never got a return call. We should have taken that as a message and sign of poor service. But instead based on other reviews we thought, «oh, they just don’t answer the phone or call back». Dumb! So I am really irritated. Rarely ever give a one star but when you say your open on all published media you should be. And when you have a phone, outta pick it up. And when people leave a message you should return the call. My bad. Won’t be back to Baby Cakes! Ever!

Wow folks, major turn-around at BabyCakes Baking Co. Now under new management, I was contacted by the new owner and invited to come in for a complimentary cupcake. How could I pass that up?! Well I went in for my comped cupcake, and picked up 4 total to give another sampling of the selections. Flavorfull buttercreams, moist cakes, and lovely presentation!(Side note: Didn’t realize this review was parked in my «drafts» section for almost a year… Sorry, Ali!) My only wish was that the lemon cupcake was lemon-ier, maybe go for an injection of lemon curd w/in the cake itself. Other than that, was not disappointed! Now that I am living in the area again, I hope to stop by for some crepes next time.

W.O.W. The carrot cake is absolutely rich and velvety and the perfect carrot cake! I came in for half dozen because it was right on the corner of where I was and I had no time to go anywhere else. I had never been in before but this might be the only place I get cupcakes from now on. The carrot cake was the biggest hit. Strawberry Shortcake was well received, but the strawberry flavor wasn’t strong. Fresh strawberries are an excellent touch though. Red Velvet was silky and decadent as was the chocolate. And they have cards for different occasions(perfect for last minute people like me!) and candles!

Ordered cupcakes for my daughter in laws baby shower. My son and husband picked them up. The cupcakes were the large ones, not small cupcakes. This was not really the issue! The biggest issue was the flavors. I ordered carrot cake, lemon and red velvet. The cupcakes came in packs of 6. Three were correct, but the last six looked like an assortment of what ever was available! Very disappointing, since I have ordered from them in the past. Tried calling them at least 5 times and they never answered even thought their website said they were open until 5pm. Did not feel anything was fresh

This is a really cute place. I tried the Bourbon Pecan & Strawberry Shortcake. The bourbon pecan was delicious and the strawberry shortcake was good too. I didn’t taste much strawberry but the frosting was very good. I’ll have to try some other flavors soon. Wish I had know about this place sooner.

I haven’t been in this area in a while; and returned a few years later with a Groupon! I am happy I did. I got a variety of 12 cucpcakes and there were so many amazing flavors(including speciality ones that I know weren’t in the Groupon mix). Thank you! My favorites were the peanut butter & jelly, carrot cake and chocolate cookie one! I still think their red velvet is just ok. The cupcakes were moist and a little dense. I liked that the frosting wasn’t too fluffy or sweet. My husband said the frosting was the best part and he has always liked these cupcakes over Susiecakes(he does not like their sweet frosting). Service here is pleasant and the guy who helped me was super nice when I called in the order and helpful when I picked it up. My order was ready on time and packaged nicely! Although their parking lot is tight and the location is a tad out of the way for me, I am a fan! I am glad I gave it another try. Goooo Babycakes!

Used to love this place. The new owner is nice, but the cupcakes are terrible.

I love baby cakes! The new owners are awesome! My favorites cupcakes are the red velvet, peanut butter and jelly, and banana crème. But now they make delicious wraps! And my new favorite custom made wrap is the«good morning Kim» :) Ask for it! perfect for breakfast!!!

I used to come to BabyCakes often, and I always ordered the lemon cupcake. I loved it because the cupcake was moist and had a strong zesty lemon flavor. Also, the frosting was very lemony and not too sweet. My mom and I came here today, and my mom immediately noticed that all the cupcakes looked different and something was off. I believe management has changed, or the company has been bought by another. The cupcakes look smaller, less appetizing and very dry! I decided to take a chance and get a lemon cupcake. It is definitely not the same. The cupcake is very dense, somewhat moist… But it is not even lemon flavored at all! It’s a plain cupcake with no flavor, with just a somewhat lemon-flavored frosting. How can you call this a LEMON cupcake when there’s no lemon flavor?! My mom got the strawberry cupcake, which is also very dense but does taste slightly like strawberries. She said she would not buy it again though. I would not come here again. I am so disappointed and sad that my favorite lemon cupcake has changed, along with all the other cupcakes! :(

Celebrated a birthday with these delicious cupcakes. My favorite was the Lemon. The red velvet was a bit dry. My co– workers enjoyed the vanilla and strawberry shortcake.

Not impressed! I have read many reviews and decided to give it a try when I saw a Groupon for a dozen assorted cupcakes. Nothing special to them, you can get better ones at the grocery store. I also purchased a croissant, and was sadly disappointed, it was really tiny and stale, which surprised me given I was there shortly after they opened and they claim to bake everything fresh daily.

I was in the area and passed by the place. Walked in, the owner was very welcoming. He showed me arround and gave me a sample of three different cupcakes; vanilla bean, red velvet, and devils food. Loved all of them but the vanilla bean was right on. Atmosphere: very welcoming, beautiful décor, and comfortable to sit and enjoy ur dessert. Great costumor service and affordable prices. Definitly recommend this place :)

Did ownership change at BabyCakes? I have been here several times over the last year and they were delicious. Stopped in today and they taste like DRYMUFFINS! As well as they look different then they did before, they used to be flat with buttercream now they look like a muffin and taste like a muffin. Not like an Original Baby Cakes Cupcake. Seems like someone bought the brand but not the recipes. Not sure, but very disappointed.

Ahhhh. I’m a sucker for cupcakes. I’m a sucker for chocolate cupcakes. Watching cupcakes wars this morning I found myself having to have a cupcake. Unilocaled a place and I ended up here. It’s a small little cupcake shop that hits the spot if you have a sweet tooth. The brownie cupcake was delicious and I even found myself stuffed after eating it! It’s not necessarily the most out of the box nor best tasting cupcake ive ever had but I definitely a good one to satisfy any craving.

How can you say no to cupcakes? Especially ones that is as tasty as the cupcakes at Baby Cakes. For a small operation I was impressed to find that the variety that was displayed was baked fresh that morning. Luxurious butter cream frosting that is not to sweet atop a moist and delicious mini cake. Did I mention that they bake cookies as well? It’s hard to buy or eat just one!

Apparently several customers of mine like to make me even more of a fatty than I already am, and they always surprise me with BabyCakes cupcakes! Grrr. I was able to try their oreo cupcake, red velvet, and this delicious chocolate cookie chocolate cupcake. Amazing, moist, delicious, fulfilling, savory, sweet, chunky, ughhh. I love cupcakes. Lmao. The chocolate cookie one I ate yesterday was ridiculously big, and it made me SUPER duper full. Not trying to go here myself… I won’t be able to hold back!

BabyCakes is one of my favorite cupcakes places. I’m a huge fan of sprinkles and to me BabyCakes is the closest tasting cupcake. Pros — Delicious — Décor — Appearance of cupcake Cons — Short hours — Mini cupcakes must be ordered in advance — Limited Selection — Expensive
