History
Established in 1996.
BCD Tofu House first opened in 1996 in the Koreatown part of Los Angeles as one of the original soon tofu restaurants. BCD has since grown to 16 restaurants in 2 countries — U. S, and Korea. Widely considered as one of the most successful Korean restaurant chains in the U.S., BCD has maintained its excellence and reputation by remaining family owned and using only the highest quality ingredients — including organic tofu.

Hee Sook L.
Business Owner
Hee Sook Lee founded BCD Tofu House in 1996 to introduce Korean «soon dubu» (soft tofu soup) to the United States. She considers herself a diplomat of sorts and wants to «make Korean food known to the world». She has been invited to speak at numerous international business conferences and is a regular guest on radio/television shows. She has been the recipient of many awards and accolades, not only for her storied business career but also for her philanthropic work. She is an active board member of Global Children Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to helping children in poverty around the world.
