The story of Expert Auto Insurance began with the passing of Proposition 103 in 1988. The proposition had made promises to force the casualty insurance companies to decrease rates for auto insurance products. However, its subsequent effect was to send most of the standard insurance companies running for the state border. By 1991, a large percentage of So. California drivers were thus left uninsured. Later when the Northridge Earthquake managed to turn insurance industry on his head, Expert Auto insurance, being an independent agent with a selection of carriers offered quality home insurance to California homeowners. My family and I have been with Expert Auto Insurance (Mercury) for a long time now. Honestly, I have looked for cheaper coverage elsewhere but always end up with rates that can’t compete — Expert is always lower than other places.
Jennifer is a great agent. I feel like I am always contacting her to get better rates and coverage for me and my parents home and car insurance. She gives me as much information as she can in a timely manner and to the best of her ability. She also always tries her best to get the lowest rates possible for me and my family.
I would highly recommend Jennifer as your agent!

I got my auto insurance and Truck commercial insurance in this agency, Jennifer C. has been helping me a lot. The policy was cheaper here with the same coverage than my previous agent. Jennifer responds to my emails right away anytime I need some information. I’ll Definitely recommend this agency.

Poor practices! I’ve been with this company for years now and they were fine at first because I never asked them for anything, but I now realize they are so LAZY! They don’t want to do anything extra to help their customers. I finally switch to another company and try to cancel our policy and what a nightmare! In order to cancel, you can only speak to ONE person who’s only in the office MON-​FRI 9 – 2. What?! I can’t cancel my policy because I called at 2:30?! Don’t they know people work?
So after some complaining… I’m told to send a letter via fax stating why I want to cancel my policy… So I write the letter, send the fax on a Fri and on the bottom I specifically request a phone call to confirm they’ve received my letter… Monday comes around and no call back… I don’t hear anything for another week… I send another fax the following Monday… nothing…I send another fax the following day… still nothing. I finally decide to call and they said they JUST got my fax and never received any other fax. Oh really? Then why has my fax machine been printing out Transmission Verification Reports??? So apparently, they even lie to their customers… I’ve never gone through this much stress and hassle with any other company. I did what they asked and they didn’t even have the courtesy to call me back. Again: BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES!!!

Horrible customer service. I found a much better deal with another company. They were so rude, the manager at the center even hung up on me twice and wouldn’t let me talk. I wouldn’t give any part of a star if that was an option.

I would not recommend this business to anyone. They have very POOR customer service. Repeated inconsistent information from the various persons working in the office as though no one really knows what the protocol is. Alan was very, very rude to both myself and another member of my household, and consistently would not put things in writing per my request. When he told me, «I don’t have time for you right now. I need to leave» (It was 4:50 p.m.) in the middle of clarifying some information, I finally decided to end my 10-​year relationship with this company and take my business elsewhere. Feels good!
