John Kowan Termite Control

I called this company but the receipt showed the name of the company as Year Round. Anyway, their service was wonderful. Extremely detailed and they really took time to go thru every problem that I had in my house. The guy who serviced our house was called Sergio. He was extremely patient and did a great job. All the previous pest control companies that I had did not do the jobs as good as this company. All other companies would quote me a ridiculous price once they hear your house is in PV. John’s quote was reasonable.
I have told my husband to try this company for his office and warehouse.

Wow! We just got finished using John Kowan Termite for fumigation service on our business. We are a weekend based business that could not afford for anything to go wrong during our four day window for fumigation. We began the process of preparing for the fumigation over six months ago and not only was price a factor, the the customer service received from John and his wife have been AMAZING. Very professional, reliable and exceptional communication from start to finish. The entire process couldn’t have gone any smoother. Thank you and keep up the great work.

I just noticed the phrase that Unilocal associates with a 5 star rating, «Woohoo! As good as it gets!» Well that sums up my experience with John Kowan termite control. I had sub and dry wood termites that John took care of. John won my business based on pricing and overall professionalism, but it was their execution that warrants this Unilocal rating. Behind the scenes, John’s wife is a customer service dynamo, quickly replying to every e-​mail I sent with a thoughtful answer. Finally, I just went to pay my invoice and noticed that John and his wife had provided a self addressed, postage paid envelope for my remittance. I realize a a stamp is only 49 cents, but it struck me then, these folks did everything right in my dealings with them, from start to finish.

I had a wonderful experience with this family owned company. They are competent and professional.
As I am a 70 year old senior, Debbie, the owner, took such caring, compassionate care with me that I would never use any other termite business again.

Found this review in Unilocal and called John. He was over the same afternoon and treated my termite problem the next day. Very helpful. He even showed me how to do it myself next time and save money. Reasonably priced, fast, efficient, and best of all a local business. Highly recommended!

John Kowan came recommended by a good friend. I Was not looking forward to going through this tenting the house process but It was something that had to be done.
Very happy with John & his crew. Scheduled the service to our convenience, explained everything completely so there were no surprises. Advised us about the TPD program to have alarm system brought in. This was wonderful as not only the inconvenience of packing up food & having to be out of the house for a few days my biggest concern was the worry of our home being broken into during tenting. TPD set up alarm just before tent went on, then armed remotely. While alarm is armed all patrol are linked in so if anyone attempted to enter the house they would have been greeted by our fine police force!
Great service, reasonable price, minimal damage to plants (expected) during tenting & now we should be set for a long while to not worry about termite damage.

We found a trail of subterranean critters in the house and needed immediate help. John and Debbie (a family business) came to the rescue! Debbie treated us just like family by get us help within a few days. The source of the critters was treated and we had no further problems. John did the work and he was fast and efficient, while explaining the treatment process. When I inquired about some fascia wood replacement they gave an estimate within a few days and a very competitive price. We had all our fascias replaced. We’re very happy with the work. It was done in two days. We highly recommend John and Debbie’s family business. They’re friendly, knowledgeable and keep their customers first, by keeping them informed about the status of projects. And, the pricing was fair and very competitive. We try do business with small and family owned companies since our family was also a business owner. John Kowan Termite Control is a company that’s been in business over 30 years and are providing a great service at a very good price. We’re happy to have these folks in our lives and will continue to recommend them to our family and friends.

I received 4 bids for our 3-​unit townhouse in Redondo and Kowan Termite was by far the most professional and punctual. They were #2 or 3 as far as price but #1 as far as professionalism, follow-​up and information. John sat down with the 3 residents and explained the gasses used, the prepartions needed, etc.
Debbie (John’s wife) was always available and consistent in her follow up. The whole process went off without a hitch.

Thought I had a termite problem so I called John. When he arrived he was professional and courteous. He took a look at the bugs that I collected and quickly dismissed the termite possibility. He then gave me a quick crash course on what to look for if you think you have termites. In the end, no bugs, no tenting — but would definitely recommend John.

I got a couple bids to tent my duplex. I was a bit nervous about the entire tenting process and how much it would cost. I decided to go with John Kowan termite Co. Their prices were competitive and I got a good feel from John Kowan, he showed up on time and prepared. He emailed me a detailed estimate the following day and I never felt like I was being «over sold»
His wife who works the phones is very responsive and professional.
The «Tenters» were in & out! They returned 2 days later and removed the tent, posted cleared for occupancy and were gone.
Great job over all and I wouldn’t hesitate to use and refer them in the future!
