We recently moved to the South Bay and I was really nervous about trying a new dog grooming place since a lot of the places around us seem like they only do smaller dogs. Lovely Dog far exceeded my expectations! I made an appointment the week before for my golden retriever. We let them know that we wanted her hair cut shorter and as you can see, they did an amazing job! She was so excited to be there and they even gave her some treats afterwards. You can tell that the owners really take pride in their work and truly love being around dogs. Definitely coming back and recommending to my friends.

I’ve taken my maltipoo, Mikko, to Lovely Dog Salon for at least 5x now (I had become unhappy with Petsmart); and I must complement Sophie and her staff for doing a fantastic job on not just my dog, but for all the dogs she grooms. In fact she is so wonderful that when I arrived to pick up my dog, I found Sophie cradling a chihuahua even after it had nipped her in her right eye. I felt bad for her, but she took it all in stride, making sure to cuddle this chihuahua in a blanket until it settled. I give Sophie and her staff A+ in everything they do from grooming to cleanliness to pure TLC.

Great groomers! First time here today and I’m not a big Unilocaler but I picked up my cooper I’ve never seen sick a big smile on his face after the groomers. They asked the right amount of questions to make sure they got him to look the way I wanted. Cooper looks great. Thanks guys!

This is an amazing business with dedicated staff that will take care of your doggy needs! My wife took our Shih Tzu (Charlie), to get his first grooming experience. The results were fantastic and our Charlie looks amazing! This business is our go to place for our dog blooming needs and we highly recommend it to anyone that wants to pamper their love one!
Tips: 1. Take a picture of a style you wish your puppy to have or a similar style.
2. Make an appointment whenever possible, the clientele loves this place and having an appointment will make things easier.
3. If you’re concerned with the level of stress your love one may experience, try using «Pet Calm» at least 30 minutes before his appointment. To be quite honest, the level of expertise the staff has regarding dogs is such that they can calm any pet and make it a great experience for the owners and pets alike.

Wonderful groomer! I have a schnauzer mix that has curly hair like a poodle. Some groomers we’ve tried in the past have given her the poodle haircut which is not her best look. I asked the staff at Lovely Dog to give my dog more of a round face with short fur on the body. The lady also called to follow up with me on how we wanted the tail and ear length should be. They did everything we asked for and the groom turned out fantastic. The prices are also very reasonable. Highly recommend!

I LOVE this place! They are so good with my little guy. Very accommodating and friendly, and he always leaves with a little bandana that they put on him. I’m so happy I found Lovely Dog!

Have been coming here for a year and we love them. She is very caring and also very accommodating with our last minute scheduling!

They won’t take large dogs. I have a chow husky mix, 65 pounds, and they said they don’t have a big enough bath, so just FYI if you have a large dog. It’s kind of strange for a dog grooming place to only work on smaller dogs, but at least the lady on the phone was nice.

I love coming here for my Maltipoo. Sara is absolutely amazing! It’s been over a year since I’ve been back and she remembered us. That’s excellent customer service to personally know your clients.
She gave Boo her haircut, shampoo, nails trimmed, anal glands, EVERYTHING! Great price for above average service. My dog has terrible anxiety and I wouldn’t leave her with just anyone but I absolutely trust Lovely Dog!

This place is awesome! They ask you questions on every single detail of your dog’s hair cut. The lady here also clarified with me as to whether or not I wanted my dog to be shaved down. I can tell that they really care for the dogs here, and the lady who handled my dog was so sweet and nice. It was a definite change of pace from my old groomer, who charged a lot more than Lovely Dog does yet never took the time to really determine what I wanted.
Upon picking up my dog, I was super pleased with how my dog looked. They also gave her cute rainbow ribbons and bandanas — an extra touch I really appreciated. Not only did my dog also get a free treat, she was given a free toy for being a first-​time customer. I can safely say that Lovely Dog will be my go-​to grooming salon from now on.

Wonderful little family-​run business that treated my dog with such care and attention. Best is that they ask questions and really listen to what you want. With other groomers, my dog has had many hit-​or-​miss hairstyles. Lovely Dog is reliable. The price is great considering the quality of the grooming.

After reading the positive reviews, I decided to take my dog (bichon/​Maltese mix) in for a trim. I emphasized multiple times that I wanted just a trim/​clean up, nothing major. Everyone was very nice, but something went wrong. When I went to pick him up, he was completely shaved. The owner was very apologetic, but it’s taken us 2 months and his hair is still not back to the length it was when we brought him in. We had to purchase sweaters because he was always shivering. Any way I guess she confused him with another dog. Be very clear when you go here.

Love this place. They treat my dog well and she always comes out beautifully and super clean! The owners are very nice and love what they do. They truly love dogs and will treat yours like their own.

This place is amazing! I called and make appointment before I went in and ask me to bring a picture of how you want my dog to be. Sara was the one helped me, she was very professional and courtesy the whole time. The did the haircut package plus the fleas shampoo for total of $ 48. Price was very reasonable. I dropped off my dog at 01:30pm and got my dog back around 04:30pm. When I saw my dog, I almost couldn’t recognize him. He’s so cute and handsome! Sara asked me if he look okay with you? I told her she did an awesome job! They also offered my dog a bag of treats and bottle of dog cologne. I would definitely come back to this place. Highly recommended!

Took my Pomeranian here today for the first time and I loved it! Very nice and friendly staff they even gave him a toy because it was his first time there. very reasonable prices all in all a great place would recommend taking your dog here if your looking for a new groomer

This is the first time I’ve given a 5 star review. The groomers did a fantastic job and deserve every star and more. My maltipoo was clearly well taken care of– well washed, nails trimmed, ears cleaned, haircut and a bow at the end. I’m so glad I found this place. I drive a bit to come here, but it’s worth it. And the prices are crazy reasonable.

The Korean lady here is so, so sweet. She genuinely cares for your pet & calls you if she sees anything wrong or has suggestions for the vet.
I come here regularly for a haircut + bath for my 13 year-​old Yorkie ($ 40). She’s shaky and sensitive at beauty salons, but the lady talks to her sweetly and takes good care of her. I’ve never regretted any of the cuts here. She always finishes on time, and also gives you grooming tips. They’re great at haircuts, offer perfume with a toy to take home (on your first visit), plus a doggie treat! All for a very reasonable price. What more can you ask for?
Additionally, depending on the holiday, they dress up the pet with variously colored ribbons/​bandanas. For example, for Independence Day my dog got a star spangled ribbon on her head and bandana, and green tree ones for Christmas. Check this place out next time your pet needs to be beautified!

I have two dogs, one Pomeranian (9yrs) and a poodle mix (3yrs old.) I recently moved to Torrance and with this summer heat they both needed a grooming BAD. I usually take them to petsmart grooming in culver city who always did a good job, but with culver city being a huge drive now, and recent news of dogs being abused or killed in big box retailers grooming salon made me extremely paranoid to take them.
With that said I turned to Unilocal and found lovely dog had fantastic reviews. I made a appointment for next day, and the place was easy enough to find IF you look at the picture another Unilocaler posted.
The inside of the business is very small, but the grooming area is wide open, which I liked because to me it shows they have nothing to hide. The nice owner took them in right away and quoted me 4hours for both of them.
When I came back my poodle was in a cage relaxing, while my Pom was getting his final touches done. It was $ 88 for both of them which I thought was more than reasonable considering petsmart charges $ 120 or so. Unfortunately I didn’t bring any cash to tip, although payments can be made in card, cannot tip on card. I assume if you ask her before hand, she can run the card for more.
Usually when petsmart quotes me 4hours, sometimes it turns in 5 or 6, with me having to call in to check in on them. With Lovely Dog, they were right on time (I left them at 11, got a call at 230 that they’ll be done in 10−15min). And also when I pick them up usually they’re super thirsty and want water right away. I gave them water and neither one of them drank any, which I’m guessing is because the owner have them some which I appreciate.
For the grooming, they are super clean and adorable ! The cut was great and they even came back with little bandanas and bows.

I usually do not write reviews very often but this place was so good with my puppy, they deserve one!
The service was very kind and informative. This is my first puppy and my first time getting her groomed, so they were patient with my questions and were gentle with my puppy. They even gave me tips on how to groom my puppy myself.
Not only were they very friendly, but they even offered a free cute bow tie for my puppy’s hair and a free toy for her first visit. Definitely going to be my permanent groomers for now on!
Let’s not forget what a good job they did on grooming her. I’d recommend this place to anyone!

I love this place!
The groomers are always super nice and accommodating. I’ve never had a problem trying to get an appointment, and they finish within 3 hours.
More importantly, my dog comes out lookin’ super spiffy and smellin’ delicious. He even gets a treat! He loves those Greenies cause they’re yummy AND good for his teeth! I am very faithful to this place. :)
