So one beautiful summer morning, some lady decides to reverse her car for not reason and run into my car… damaging the front bumper and grill. I called MGM Auto Repair so I can get a quote because the lady was thinking she was going to pay it out of pocket. Raffy took good care of me he told me to come right down and so he could take a look and he gave me a quote on the spot. We then found out that it of course was going to be way more then what she expected.
We went through her insurance and they covered me for all the damages. Raffy handled everything for me and fixed my car up and it looks better then before. He even fixed the bent up license plate.
I recommend coming to MGM Auto Repair if you’ve been in a accident or have an damage on your car you want fixed.

These guys were rude. The two men working on a Saturday were having lunch when I arrived. It took them a few minutes to acknowledge me and then one of them asked if I’d wait tell he finished his lunch (in about 5 minutes). I waited in my car as there was no other place to wait. When the man finished eating he came over to my car and in about a minutes time, without really inspecting my car or checking under the hood, told me it would cost over $ 2000.00 to fix my front end hood and that would be without replacing my bumper or painting any of the replaced parts. He said my car was not worth his time. I’m just wondering if he couldn’t have told me that before he finished his lunch and made me wait.

These guys are GREAT. I actually trust these guys… they are that good. My business has 5 – 10 vehicles and I use a mechanic alot so consistent service and responsiveness are key. These guys make (and exceed) the grade. I’ve had little services like oil changes and big services like a top end rebuild — and never been disappointed. They don’t try to sell you stuff and they always give you choices with recommendations. As good as it gets… and I’ve been voting with my wallet for years.

I have been coming to see Rafi for years and have never written a review. He repaired many of my cars and important to me to let other people know how excellent he was and how great the service has been. His ethics and customer care are in my experience second to none. The pricing and integrity of his work was amazing, Rafi thank you my man.!!

I don’t know how to describe this experience very accurately to deliver the comedy i saw in it, but I will try. I went here on new years eve, so I was glad it was open at all. The man i spoke to on the phone was terse but accurately so. I needed someone who would put holes in my front bumper so I could attach my new California License plate. I had been denied this earlier by the fact that my car is from PA and as such has no front license plate functionality, thanks, fred beans… However, MGM drilled the holes for me very quickly and without pomp. I spent maybe 20 minutes here at the most. Further, I expect the mark up on holes to be surprisingly high, but the entire thing cost me ten dollars. Essentially I was some what flabbergasted that my experience went as follows
«You want me to drill holes in your car? sure, ten bucks.»
And then it was done, and I was finally a California driver. I celebrated by never using my turn signals while merging ever again.

My check engine light came on so I took my car to MGM to have them take a look at it since they are very close to where I live. I mostly dealt with John. He was very professional and knowledgable. Kept in touch with me since I had to leave the car with them. They accommodated my situation and helped out greatly. My car is running better than ever. They did a great job. Highly recommended.

I’ve been coming here for several years and I have been remiss in not writing sooner. It is difficult to find honest people in certain professions. I’m not suggesting that a profession breeds dishonesty, I’m merely saying that it’s easier to blur the lines of integrity through commerce when it comes to certain things.
I first brought my car here to have the brakes replaced because they had been squealing (in my profession that is also called a «CLUE.») The owner, Raffy, told me that he would try to get away with just grinding down the rotor to save it rather than replace it. He then quoted me a price for both possibilities. He called me about an hour later and informed me that they had been able to save the rotor and thus save me a few bucks. An honest man does the work that’s necessary. A dishonest man could have easily sold me an additional and unnecessary service and I would have been none the wiser.
Since then I have brought my vehicles here for both routine service as well as more invasive vehicle procedures (major tune-​ups, replacing multiple car parts, etc.) I have always been lucky to have my vehicle repaired the same day and with very reasonable prices. I have also had estimates given to me by other big name companies and then brought my vehicle to MGM and paid half of what they had quoted.
I will continue to bring my vehicles here because I recognize the value of supporting a hometown business but also a truly honest work ethic. If you’re reading this because you’ve moved to the area I can promise you that you’ll be very pleased with the work product and service.

These guys were freaking awesome! I have been struggling with an issue with my car for over 5 years. I have taken my car to plenty of different shops in hopes that they can fix it. After 4 different shops and a lot of money trying to fix this problem I stumbled into MGM. They were able to fix the problem perfectly and not charge me too much. They were awesome always cooperating with me and informing me of what the next steps might be. They fixed my five year old problem in a matter of a week. They are awesome, highly recommended! Everyone should go here!

Wow! John was great. MGM auto body is a great example of a mom&pop offering better service than corp. John and his father runs a great shop, they’re down to earth, honest, and will do the best they can.
John was able to adjust accordingly to my needs and cost limits for my Infiniti g35, and the repairs were not only faster than expected but also cheaper!
Overall a great shop that I highly recommend.

My father in law’s car started leaking coolant. I looked for repair shops in Torrance on Unilocal and found MGM with good reviews.
When I took it in they quickly diagnosed the radiator was bad. They went through the estimate with me carefully explaining the reason for recommending replacing two hoses and the thermostat at the same time. Charges for parts and labor were very reasonable and the car was ready as promised the next day.
I highly recommend this family business.

I love driving my Mazda3. If I go on vacation and have to rent a car, I begin to miss my Mazda and feel uncomfortable driving a different vehicle.
So when some asshole backed into my car and crumpled the hood, I was worried about the damage done and how long it would take get it back. MGM Auto Repair worked exceptionally fast and I got my car back in around a week. This includes the time it took to order a new hood and bumper, replace them with the damaged ones, and check to see if there was any internal damage to the engine or affiliated systems.
All in all, I strongly recommend MGM Auto Repair and Body Shop as they’re expedient in their work, but do not skimp on quality or car maintenance care.

I was stranded with a non-​working starter, and after a sub one star performance by my towing company, my Xterra got to Raffy (the owner of MGM) at closing. He called, gave me options and price. I was on my way to my next job by noon the next day. The prompt, spectacular service saved me $$, and also made me $$ as I was working, not at home watching «Criminal Minds» reruns.
Since then, have heard many talk about the stellar service and how lucky they are to be living so close, as they would drive or have their car towed cross town to be serviced here.
My Super skeptical wife brought her Land Rover here, it is a hard car to service with a lot of peculiararities – and Raffy was not put of or confused with it, and my wife is happy.
I do suggest that you speak to Raffy, only Raffy – as there are communication gaps. His crew seems to be very capable, but do not communicate in English well (not Hispanic).
Do communicate, he adresses all of your concerns well…
Later, I went around to other shops and found that he was consistantly within $ 5 of lowest quote… I am really happy.

I found the MGM auto repair based on a good Unilocal review. I have an older Audi A4 which was shaking pretty good when I drove it. I dropped it off in the morning and Raffy was able to diagnose the problem, he gave me a really good price for the work, replaced two axles and I picked up at the end of the day. They could not have done a better job.
I highly recommend the shop. They clearly know what they are doing, very nice, great price and quality work.

Jack, the person servicing my car was rude and curt, and definitely not helpful.
Also, the site had a coupon, that Jack was not willing to honor, when I opened up it up on my phone to show him. It was a regular service package.
The owner is informative, but he showed up half way through my service.
This place is also pretty expensive for a regular maintenance/​oil change. Don’t advise going here.

Found this place after Unilocal’s review, had dent/​scratch on my brand new Lexus 2013 ES300 Hybrid, went in and talked to Raffy about it, offered me 3 options to do for my car.
I ended up choosing the cheapest option, was worried he won’t do a good job, however I am satsfied with the work he does and very timely matter.
I strongly recommend anyone who needs auto services or bodywork come to Raffy as he does good work.

My air conditioning died on a trip to Vegas!!! How awful!
They refilled the freon and dyed the freon so that if there was a leak they could see where it was.
Great deal! Short notice! I got in and out quickly!

MGM Auto Repair is the mechanic you visit when you don’t know where else to go.
I decided to take my car to MGM Auto Repair for a power steering repair on the advice of a friend of mine. I needed a new power steering pressure hose, which seemed like a minor repair. After talking with Raffi, he described the problem in detail, and he expected to finish the work in a day.
Later that afternoon I got a call at work. Because his mechanic had access to the belts while he was working, he strongly recommended I replace them while he was already working on the power steering. So, without asking for any additional estimates, I told him to go ahead with the additional work.
Once his mechanic was done, my car spent two and a half days in the shop and I spent $ 550. This included the extras that weren’t really that necessary. But I convinced myself I was buying peace-​of-​mind, and it was just money.
Unfortunately, the most important repair — my power steering hose — was fixed with what I can only imagine was the wrong part number. Even with all the fluids filled to the correct levels, it now makes an audible moan anytime I turn the steering wheel. It has ever since the evening I picked it up from MGM.
Next time you need work done, consider all your options.
