My husband and I have been shopping at MJM going back before Sam relocated to his current location. We have always enjoyed the friendly service we receive and the quality of jewelry. We feel Sam is very knowledgable of the product, fair in his prices and is just an all out good guy to deal with. My husbands last two purchases have been without my knowledge and both times Sam’s recondition has been right on. He takes the time to know his customers lifestyle and taste.

We were in the area and decided to check into MJM because all the reviews were positive and stated that Sam was really genuine and honest. It’s all true. Sam is warm& honest, and I felt comfortable entrusting my wedding ring to him for resizing. 19+ years and I finally did it. Go see Sam, you’ll be glad you did!

I went based on the reviews on Unilocal.I was going here to get an appraisal done on my wedding ring. I had asked Sam (owner) if there was a way to make the prong on my ring stronger because I’m so hard on my ring. I told Sam that I’ve bent the prong in the past. He had recommended putting a new stronger prong (I’ve gone to other jewelers and they said I would have to buy a new setting). I was nervous but put my trust in Sam’s recommendation. Once I’d received my ring back I was so happy on it came out. Thank — you Sam for the recommendation. I will be back.

My husband and I are new to the area and were looking for a reputable Jewelery store locally and was referred here so I popped in one day just to see if I liked anything Well I did! and met with Sam I later brought my husband back which just so happen they had food and drinks to top it off…

I am so fortunate that my friend brought me to this wonderful store. The owner, Sam, was friendly, thoughtful, and knowledgeable, and his rates were extremely reasonable. I knew right away that I was in good hands. He expertly fixed my watch and earring within minutes. And, most importantly, he found me the most beautiful chain for my family heirloom. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. This unique chain makes the locket look far lovelier than I could have imagined. I will definitely be back… with my husband. Sam and his staff at the Modern Jewelry Mart are among the very best in Los Angeles. Sam’s knowledge of his craft is amazing to watch as he finds or designs that special piece of jewelry. My husband and I have purchased multiple items from rings, bracelets, earrings, necklaces and watches that still provide just as much joy as the day they were unveiled as gifts. Based upon the great service we have had with Sam and his MJM, I have become the family delivery woman for all family jewelry fixes and needs; he takes care of my mother’s antique pieces like they were passed down from his parents. We will never go anywhere else.

I just want to say the owner was really really friendly. I called in asking how much a cleaning is for my girlfriends rings and he said it was free. I was so shock because I called in other stores nearby and they asked me for $ 30 dollars and when I got to the store I was welcomed even tho. I only came to get the rings cleaned. I couldn’t be more grateful to the store associates at this location. While I was waiting for the rings to get cleaned the variety of jewelry is just gorgeous designs and reasonable Prices. I highly recommended this store for all your jewelry needs.

We have been going to see Sam since we got married 20 years ago and bought a beautiful ruby-​centric wedding and engagement ring set. We had both been married before, so we wanted something a little bit different. Sam found an exquisite pigeon-​blood ruby for us and helped us pick out a beautiful ring set, all within budget. Last week Sam delivered a custom yellow diamond ring that he had made up for us for our 20^th anniversary that was unbelievably fabulous. In between, we have bought other beautiful jewelry from him. He has quickly taken care of any jewelry in which stones got loose, carefully checking whatever my wife is wearing whenever we stop by. Sam is really nice to interact with, helps but doesn’t push, and does really fine work. He, himself, is quite personable, friendly and nice to talk and work with. I can’t speak highly enough of Sam and his special jewelry store.

I found Sam to be a professional, artistic, knowledgeable & patient gemologist. He wanted to know what I was thinking about & what my wife’s tastes are. Using his expertise & insights, along with what I told him about my wife he suggested a beautiful piece of jewelry that my wife now cherishes. Seventeen years ago, my husband purchased his first gift for me at Modern Jewelry Mart. With Sam’s guidance, he selected a beautiful pair of diamond earrings. Approximately one year later, Sam helped us design a necklace pedant that contained diamonds from my Grandmother’s wedding ring. The loss of my Grandmother was quite emotional for me and Sam handled the experience with care and kindness. We elected to go to the jewelry district in Los Angeles for my wedding ring. Huge mistake! The band was not aligned with the diamond. Even though I was extremely embarrassed, I told my husband that I wanted Sam to redesign my ring.
My husband and I moved to Washington State seven years ago. Due to excited puppies, I had to send my necklace to Sam for repairs at least three times. I just received my repaired necklace (new chain) today. As usual, Sam’s level of detail cannot be outdone.
His care for us is so authentic. We will continue to be loyal customers.

Since then, we go to Sam when we want to buy nice pieces because we can trust the quality of the jewelry. Sam never tries to «hard sell» but instead gives you his recommendations and lets you make the decision.

I met Sam based off of my brother’s recommendation. I had originally bought a ring that I was not in love with from a (big box) retailer. My brother saw the ring and urged me to go to Sam, and boy I’m glad I did. This man took genuine interest in what I was looking for my girlfriend (now fiancée). One of the best experiences I’ve had as far as sales go in general. If you are looking for a place that will have beautifully designed jewelry, friendly knowledgeable staff, and will a wonderful experience from start to finish. Look no further. Long story, short, I met Sam a few weeks ago to have my finger sized because my (now) fiancé was working with Sam on my ring. I knew an engagement was coming up, but I had no idea where the ring was coming from, what it looked like or when I would be presented with it. Sam insisted on sizing me himself so I went to MJM to meet him and from the very moment we met, he put me at ease. He is such a joyful, pleasant, passionate, detail oriented, talented man. A jack of all trades and a master of them all too! My darling presented me the ring this weekend during my birthday celebrations and I was speechless when I saw the ring! It’s amazing. Really.
