Amazing experience! My boyfriend and I did the introductory flight this past weekend and it was amazing! Jeremy was our instructor and he was great! He was super friendly and made me feel at ease. Overall it was a great experience with great prices for the amount of flying they let you do. My boyfriend got to taxii the plane, do the take off, and fly the plane the whole time we were in the air. Only thing Jeremy helped on was the landing because it was windy so it’d be hard to land smoothly. Really recommend Pacific Skies!

Completed my training back in September of 2015 with Matt at Pacific Skies. The entire staff is friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, scheduling is a breeze, planes are in great shape, and I cannot wait to start my IFR training once I build my cross country time.

Just had the best flying experience with our instructor Jeremy! I waited two years to redeem the certificate &I it was worth the wait. I definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to learn how to fly!

This is an amazing tour and learning lesson for my husband and I! I bought the course ticket online and prepared this birthday gift for my husband, and he really got surprised. He said this is the best experience and best birthday gift ever! Our pilot is John. John is a really great pilot and teacher. He taught my husband patiently and nicely answered all his questions. For every sightseeing spot, John helped us to take pictures. I would definitely recommend this to all my friends!!!

I really wanted to see about flying. It has been something that I’ve wanted to do in my life. I started to call around to various flight schools and decided to go with Pacific Skies Aviation. After a few emails and a few phone conversations, I went flying last Saturday. Let me say that the experience was so much more than I expected. I even brought my son with me to share in the experience.
Miriam, my instructor, took the time to walk me through all of the preflight checklists. She explained everything as she progressed. After about 15 minutes, she said to get in, and let’s go. I got into the left seat, and Miriam helped me get situated with seat location, headphones, and seat belt. We went through the required checklist, and she pointed out everything that was going on. She had me start the engine and my adrenaline was flowing. I was really excited about this entire experience. she had me taxi down the taxiway and to stay on the center yellow line. this being the first time, I found staying on the yellow line a bit more challenging than I thought. Miriam just kept encouraging me and offered some helpful tips.
At the head of the runway area, we pulled to the side to do a final check of the engine, etc. Miriam called to the tower for clearance. she had me roll the plan to the runway to to start the takeoff. We are moving quickly down the runway, she tells me to pull back on the yoke and we’re off.
We flew around LA, First over the beach, then over Long Beach harbor, Torrance, LAX the Getty Center, the Hollywood sign, Griffith Park observatory, past downtown LA and then returned to Torrance. i flew the entire time and Miriam handled the radio, provided me with clear and easy to follow directions, and she helped me land the plan. I flew the entire time from takeoff to landing.
if you’re even curious about learning to fly, or just want to have an exciting outing/​adventure, then I can’t recommend Pacific Skies Aviation any higher. They were amazing, helpful, and really delivered more than I expected. if you can’t tell, I’m pretty excited about the entire experience and plan to continue

If you are reading this to determine if Pacific Skies Aviation is the right school for your needs, (novice or not), your search is over! It has been a dream of mine to fly a plane since I was knee-​high to a grasshopper. And a few days ago, my dreams came true! Reza, my instructor, was informative, positive, patient, and instilled the confidence you’d hope to experience on your first discovery flight. It was the most exhilarating and calming experience of my life. I felt so at ease on the controls. That’s right… I had the controls! Reza and his instructors actually let you have a REAL lesson on your first flight. You can taxi, take off, fly around AND land the plane! You read that right. YOU can do all that! The only thing holding you back is YOU.
Do yourself a favor, and just say YES to this. You won’t regret it. In fact, you’ll thank yourself and everyone at Pacific Skies Aviation.

I bought the flying experience for my husband Armen’s birthday. The experience we had with Jeremy at Pacific Skies Aviation was very enjoyable and superb. Jeremy was very knowledgable, friendly and accomodating. Before meeting him, we had no idea what’s going to happen. I was quite hesitant about how a person with zero knowledge and experience in aviation can fly a plane on the first day? It took Jeremy 15 – 20 minutes to chat with us and instruct hubby on the controls and everything. Did not have time to think and we were already in the air with Armen taking care of the take off and pretty much the whole flight over South Bay. The whole time I was so relaxed that I was taking pictures, videos, enjoying the breathtaking views. One of the best experiences in our lives so far:) When we get to the pilot certification classes, we def. will do it with Jeremy! So fun and enjoyable! Thanks so much!

Pacific Skies is the best!
When I decided to get my private pilot’s licence, I tried out a few flight schools on the westside and was very impressed with PSA.
The Torrance airport is a great location with a nice field, close proximity to practice areas and a good variety of airspace.
PSA has a very modern, well-​maintained fleet of planes. Planes are always clean and in good condition when I rent them.
The staff is very friendly. There are no intimidating or «macho» aviators here.
For my training, I had Mike as my instructor. He’s fantastic! He made difficult concepts easy to understand on the ground and, in the air, he was very patient and made my flying experience fun and safe.
6 months after I started flying here I passed my checkride and got my certificate!

Took my boyfriend here for a birthday surprise. Initially I spoke with Reza and he gave me a great package that let us both experience the joys of flying. My boyfriend started out the first leg of the trip over Long Beach and PALOS Verdes and I experienced flying during the second leg of the trip, over Hollywood. We were both in the plane for both trips. The waiting room is very nice and comfortable however we only had to wait a few minutes! We arrived early and were still seen within two minutes of arriving! Our instructor was Amanda and she was great! She was incredibly knowledgeable and was also great company! I would definitely come here again! I may take my dad on his birthday, when he heard about the trip he was anxious to come try it out. I recommend this flying school. The discovery/​introductory flight was a little more than other schools but that is because they are one of the only schools to allow you to do the take off as well as the landing, the other flight schools give you minimal control in the air however pacific skies gives you most of the control! I recommend experiencing more control with pacific skies and paying a little extra for an epic experience! Thanks you guys!

I was looking for a flight school in the Los Angeles area that had fair prices. The main office is clean and very inviting. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I wanted to become familiar with the airspace and general operations of the area as I already have my Private Pilot’s licence and need to find a new local school to be a part of. I did the mini route and flew by the Hollywood sign and Griffith Park. They called it the VIP tour and I did indeed feel like VIP! All my questions about the airspace were answered and landmarks pointed out. All procedures were described very carefully and executed perfectly. My biennial is coming up in late December and this is the flight school that I am choosing to complete that! I intend to stay with this flight school. The aircraft are clean and maintained. I will be back!

These guys ROCK! I had Amanda as my flight instructor and all i can say is wow! She is very polite and well knowledge on flying. For a first timer i have to say because of her as an instructor it would make me want to keep learing.

Great place to rent from, very convenient, location, scheduling and availability.
What I like about this place, you don’t need to talk to anyone, schedule it online, keys are available 24 hours in the safe box hanging from the plane.
Really Nice people to from their CFI’s to the CEO :)
I have been renting their G1000 N2030C, looks like they don’t have it anymore but they’re still the best. I hope that they can get another G1000 soon :(

I surprised my husband with an intro flight lesson on our anniversary. I did my research beforehand and decided to go with Pacific Skies Aviation. It was an amazing experience!
Reza was very responsive and helpful when I was scheduling. After arriving, our instructor Aaron did such a great job making me feel comfortable as I’ve always hated flying in small planes and he could tell I was a little nervous. After seeing how knowledgeable he is about aviation and the plane, I felt I could sit back, relax, and enjoy the flight. He was very thorough explaining all the safety protocol and flight information before takeoff. He was also great about giving my husband positive feedback the entire flight.
When my husband is ready, he will definitely be continuing lessons with Pacific Skies Aviation. The view was my favorite part of the flight, and I loved how hands-​on it was for my husband who has always been interested in taking lessons. Thanks Reza and Aaron for such a fun experience!

My experience with Pacific Skies didn’t get off to the best start, but that was entirely my own fault for showing up on the wrong day.
Anyway, I showed up for my Cloud9 Living certificate with zero hours of flight experience and expected to spend the majority of my time in a class room going over safety procedures etc. My experience was nothing like this. I was paired with Aaron, who remembered me from the day before and took me straight out to the plane. He went over the safety procedures while introducing me to the aircraft. Within a few minutes, we were taxing down the runway to take off.
Aaron took care of the take off, but handed the controls over as soon as we were airborne. We flew down to Long Beach and back to Zamperini field. I was a little apprehensive going into this experience because I didn’t know what to expect. Aaron had such a calm demeanor and gave me more confidence to control the plane.
This was such a great experience that I’m considering purchasing it for others as well as returning for a second lesson.

I came in with zero experience, and only a basic understanding of what I was getting myself into.
Reza was super patient with me, but also made me feel confident that I was doing the right thing. He gave very clear guidance throughout the entire flight.
This was a very hands-​on experience, and I’m proud to be able to say (brag) that I actually flew an airplane, including take-​off and landing.
The whole thing was very surreal and I can’t recommend it enough.

Aaron did a phenomenal job keeping us safe and calm even though it was really windy. I can tell Aaron loves what he does and takes his job seriously.

Friendly, helpful, down to earth faces, professional, clean learning environment, and a fleet that if I told you about you wouldn’t believe it was a flight school.
I had the privilege of flying with Reza, who patiently walked me through a check out for his program and also a pilot (excuse the pun) program they are part of.
Reza dusted off the cob webs and we went flying. I asked him to be tough on me so I would learn a lot. He pointed out important reminders about our flight and was very very thorough and safe.
I had so much fun at Pac Skies that I didn’t even notice that I put on my shirt inside out that morning… until I got back in my car to drive home. Thanks Reza. I will be seeing you soon

I received a gift certificate from Cloud9 Living (it’s an amazing site for several cool gift experiences) for my birthday. My folks picked out a flight lesson for me and a friend! WHAT!!! I was apprehensive but excited.
After a few weeks (okay maybe months) of mulling it over, I made a reservation. We met Mike on a sunny Saturday and he was the most helpful, chill and patient instructor. He walked us through the Cessna 172 inside and out. I was nervous before flight and I thought there was going to be more on-​the-​ground training, but he pointed out some of the gauges and buttons and said, «Let’s get in!» Wait… What? So we climbed into the volkswagon-​sized interior and buckled up. Mike was cool and calm and walked me through the take off. He gave me some tips to find the horizon and gently introduced some turning here and there. It was so cool to fly around the South Bay, to see the cliffs and tide pools of PV, the San Pedro Harbor and amazing views of downtown Long Beach. I told Mike where I lived and we flew over my house! It was an amazing, memorable experience and much easier than I thought.
PSA is located in Torrance airport, with easy parking and super friendly staff. It was such a beautiful day and such a great experience, I would like to try it again. If you are scared –it’s okay. He helps you through it, always there to take charge if it’s overwhelming to you. But, honestly, you will be so happy you did it. I highly recommend PSA — and ask for Mike!

PSA is unquestionably the most professional, safest, and most experienced flight school in Southern California. I started with earning my private pilots license, am currently working on my instrument rating, and will finish with my multi-​engine and commercial ratings. They make it fun to fly and do everything in their power to ensure you have fun safely.
Reza is a former commercial pilot who started the school out of his love for teaching, and hires like-​minded CFI’s. None of these half-​interested nitwits who are just looking to build hours so they can go commercial. Their patience and dedication to my education is profound.
I would recommend PSA to anyone with a cursory interest in aviation, to someone interested in earning a private license, to experienced lifers looking for flight reviews or a new experience. The fleet and instructors are equipped to do it all. I’m lucky to have found them.
