Business Owner

Dr. Yabuno started his practice in Torrance in 1981 and has been caring for his patients for 33 years.

Dr. Yabuno attended UCLA where he majored in Biochemistry. He was admitted to the UCLA School of Dentistry and graduated in 1980.

He accepted a one year residency at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Long Beach to further advance his skills.

Dr. Yabuno continues to take advanced courses in dental esthestics, sleep apnea, and sedation dentistry. He is a member in good standing of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association and the Western Dental Society.

He has been married for twenty-​four years and is the proud father of three children. When Dr. Yabuno is not busy reading dental journals, he enjoys swimming, weight training, biking, fishing and traveling.

Dr Yabuno is the BEST Dentist in Torrance. I recently switched to his practice because my old Doctor was always understaffed. He always takes his time and I never feel rushes through my appointments. When I call to make appointments I recommend Becky, who is the sweetest. I get my cleanings done with Lori who is very kind and also gentle with my gums and teeth. She knows my teeth are a little on the sensitive side and so she goes at a great pace! I highly recommend this office, the staff and doctors are great! They also always have a great selection of magazines while you wait and ALWAYS very clean.

My regular dentist was on vacation while I was having some mouth issues, so I went to Dr. Yabuno on the recommendation of my wife. The office is bright, airy and they have and an old school Ms. Pacman arcade game in the lobby. Dr. Yabuno is kind and professional. He took up and close photos of my mouth, teeth and gums. He discovered a separate issue while poking around my mouth but wasn’t pushy about getting the work done. Would definitely come back again!

This is the best dentist ever! I have been going here for many years now. The staff is extremely professional and nice! The dental work is top notch! I have had teeth replaced and they are perfect!
My entire family still Loves this place after many many years of service!
They have a new automated scheduling system and I get email and text alerts about my appointments!
They even have free video games for the kids while you wait!

I have been a patient at this office since I was a toddler. The office is really nice and clean, the staff of hygenists and receptionists are very nice, knowledgable and accommodating. Dr. Yabuno provides excellent and professional care and advice and most importantly he is super gentle and so his patients feel no pain. I highly recommend this pratice. Top rated in the South Bay!

I have been a happy and satisfied dental care receiver for over 3 years and that is for good reason. They are the best at what they do. Everyone on the staff work hard to deliver a top notch service. They are also has a data oriented approach as they keep detailed notes about the condition of my teeth for better follow up and tracking over time. Every experience I have had has been great and they have the same enthusiasm for the service they deliver.

I had a great experience. Becky at the front desk was a pleasure, great customer service skills. Katie the hygienist was great! She walked me through each phase of the cleaning and was very kind and informative. Dr. Yabuno was very professional, clearly very intelligent and knowledgeable. Dr. Yabuno has been our family dentist for over 20 years. He is wonderfully patient with youngsters and adults alike and does excellent work. My sons have been going to Dr. Yabuno since they were able to brush their teeth! We moved to Pasadena 10 years ago and we still make the trek to see Dr. Yabuno and his colleague Dr. Sharon Miyamoto, a periodontist, who works in the same office and recently performed surgery on my gums with fine results!
The staff is always friendly and willing to assist you with appointments and insurance benefits. For those of you who need Saturday appointments, the office is open for business!
The office was recently remodeled — state of the art equipment, including televisions and chairs that are so comfortable, I have fallen asleep while work was being performed! HIghly recommended — you won’t be disappointed!

Quite simply, the BEST dental office in the South Bay.
You won’t find a more skilled, gentle, compassionate and personable dentist anywhere. I’ve been a client for almost 30 years and there’s no better man available. The hygienist are all excellent and office staff are efficient, courteous and caring. They can help with any insurance issues you may have. This should be your first choice for all your dental needs.

My husband has been coming here since he was a child and made the introduction 10 years ago. Best dentist in the WORLD!!! Chipped my tooth a month ago and haven’t gotten around to making an appointment since Torrance is a hike from LA. Called yesterday, they squeezed me in today and I walked out with a better smile in a little over an hour. I am amazed at how quickly he fixed my tooth and evened out another one. He made my smile completely straight again. He matched the color perfectly and quality of work is better than anything you get anywhere!!! He is a perfectionist.
He can never retire!!!
