SUSHI KOZAN

Walked here for sushi lunch. Sushi bar was empty, and no wonder. This place was great when Ten was the Sushi chef. But not so good now.
First, service is slow and awkward. It was a hot day, and I was quickly given a bowl of miso soup. I asked for ice water and a coke, I was thirsty. 10 minutes later they are serving me sushi but I still don’t have a water or coke. Nothing to drink except hot soup on a hot day. They are just clueless.
The sushi was just OK. Actually the salmon was kinda bad. And I Love salmon. I ordered scallop sushi and instead I got a spicy scallop roll. Probably had to mask the fact that the scallop wasn’t fresh by chopping it up with mayo and hot sauce. The tuna and yellowtail were pretty good, but just made sloppy by the Korean owner who is not a sushi chef.
Was a 10 with chef Ten. Now just a 2. They need to hire a proper sushi chef. The owner just doesn’t get it.
Probably won’t be back. And I have been coming here for over 20 years. Sad.
